I have searched and searched and tried IRC to no avail
I'm looking to make the boot up sound longer on SF 1.98 test
I got the custom boot animation working with the halo thingy
and i edited a halo theme mp3 to what I want and changed to .wav
moved to the folder and it plays for only 5-6 seconds, any ideas on how to make this longer?

Yesterday I flashed my Leo with a custom ROM. Everything works great except that the weather animation (on the Home tab) displays only once. Any idea how to loop it? Maybe a specific key in the registry? Any help will be appreciated as this is the last thing I need to do to be complete
Unless I misunderstood your original question (sorry in advance if I did!):
I'm pretty sure to conserve battery life the weather animation only happens once, if you press the windows button to access the menu, then back to the home screen it then restarts the weather animation for one cycle, as does coming out of the lock screen.
I'm not sure if there is a registry edit that allows it to go on loop, I would be interested in this as well actually.
Exactly - it would be really great to loop this animation.
when listening to my music im sure we all lock the screen so we dont change songs accidentally, but when mine is locked the music has short pauses about every 5-7 seconds like its a cd player skipping. but when i unlock the screen it the whole song plays fine. this happens with the music player and WMP. anybody else have this problem? any advice would be appreciated. thanks
this happens when you have a lockscreen that has the animated arrows enabled. been playing with the lockscreen?
yes i have a different slider, because i wanted the slider at the bottom of the screen. is there other sliders i can try that puts the slider at the bottom of the screen without animated arrows?
the slider itself shouldn't be a problem, its those little arrows either side of it, and yes you should be able to find another one, its a really simple edit to move the slider. there's a lockscreen editing tutorial in my sig, if you fancy an hour or two tinkering with it yourself.
i dont dare to tinker with it myself im clueless when it comes to this stuff, but i decided to try the lockscreen ccb here. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639163)
now the music stops completely on the locksccreen, did i F something up?
nevermind it fixed itself
hehe things generally do.
My attempted search ended up applying for lock screens with pins and a bunch of other irrevelant issues. I noticed since I rooted I get a BUNCH of random issues like the rotation breaking and a solution is to add libgnustl_shared.so in a directory and reboot which makes me think this has a stupid simple solution but long story short:
My s4's stock music lock screen widget is missing and everything from its built in sound picker and its regular widget are still there. I've done an Odin restore but that didn't help, its not the launcher and it didnt appear in safe mode either.
Got my first phone a few months ago. Started reading a lot about it. Started to modify it more and more. Been meaning to change the boot animation since day one. The stock anim is absolutely horrendous to my eyes. I finally got around to searching the available options. I was seriously unsatisfied with the lack of simple yet sleek bootanimations, especially that fit with my phone. So I decided to take the About Phone section's KitKat logo and turn it into a boot animation since that is very nice looking and fitting.

Note: I didn't find a good png compressor until after I made this one. It takes up the full screen so it's small resolution to prevent lag/sluggish animation (still looks great on phone though).

Thanks to xda and many previously posted bootanimations.
Nice plain and simple, thanks!
Anyone has a good guide on how to get rid of the irritating and awful boot animation or at least disable the sound ?
You can disable the boot sound from Settings>Sound>Power up sound.
As mentioned by Kufat, you can disable the boot sound in settings. If you're rooted you can change the boot animation to something else altogether.
On all my previous Moto devices (all very rooted, of course) I simply disabled the bootanimation by changing the extension of the zip to "bootanimation.zip.bkp". You can try that. Notice that just renaming it somehow didn't always worked in everyone of them. Good thing is the stock bootanimation gets automatically replaced by an "Android" item with black background that lurks somewhere. You can also replace it with another one by means of naming the replacement "bootanimation.zip" while keeping the stock BA with extension edited. Do not delete it; keep it right there just in case you want to go back to stock any day.

In addition to silencing it as mentioned you can speed it up from the developer option so it's not as bad. Check the Open hidden settings to speed up the UI in thelink - https://phandroid.com/2017/05/31/first-15-things-every-moto-g5-plus-owner-should-do/ -
