Help!! Speaker is Making a constant Noise - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hi all,
My speaker is making a constant quiet high pitched noise, any idea? Ive rebooted the phone to an avail
Thanks
Lee

What firmware are you using?
If you use CyanogenMod beta than this is a known issue.

Firmware is 2.2.1
Kernel: 2.6.32.9 [email protected]#1
Build: Darky's v7.0
Its bloody annoying

I would suggest reflasgin a new firmware/rom

I just went from Darky version 6 to 7 and still the same issue, ive also changed the kernel....

its more a crackling noise than anything....

Flash a stock rom, go back all the way to eclair if necessary and see if the problem is still there.

ive just factory reseted the phone and the noise and gone...... Software related then... :-(

Ignore that, its still happening, will swap the phone out me thinks

i9000 and i9003 use different hardware so u can't flash firmwares for i9000 to a i9003 device.

me too , i have problem when i using bluetooth
Same problem... and yes im experienced in flashing and wiping... But, i rooted with cf-root, after that the problems began. May it be a problem of chainis kernel?
I'm not rooted and using JVQ rom this issue happens from time to time (today 2x)
Its a ROM issue. not kernel
I still have the same problem but now on Samfirmware jvq. Don't understand even after 4 flashes with factory, delvik cache clearing & all combinations, I still get that force close. My usb tethering also disconnects after a couple of minutes.

To prevent com.android.phone FC-ing on gingerbread make sure to have checked the settings/call settings/all calls/call status tones/"CALL END TONE"
It worked for me just great.

In the thread "[Q] JVP 2.3.4 Force Close" you confirmed not having this problem (as you flashed the phone in correct way), so I'm guessing you don't need to try any fix...
sometimes it fc sometimes does not - am testing wo bt
anyways with or without this setting i am still able to replicate the fc
everybody needs this fix, it is jjust not that easy to trigger it
- not everybody uses bt earpiece
- it is not easy to ttrigger it
anyways it is not helpin
I have the same prblem since 2.3.4 JVP update. I try JVQ ....same.
With 2.3.3 i havent that problem?

[Q] Bluetooth receiving problem, CM 7.0.3 (stable)

hello there,
i rooted my wildfire a few days back & flashed CM 7.0.3 stable mod and now im experiencing bluetooth receiving problems.
i tried sending a file (.jpg here) from another phone to my wildfire, but i could not, even though the devices are paired. i CAN send files to the other phone & blutooth file share app is also working. i can log into other device & get the filed copied. but i expect to receive b/t files with out such fuzz.
hope u guys can help me out!
cheers
Try flashing the latest radio as seen here
Be careful though, make sure your phone is fully charged and nothing interrupts the process, as you are flashing a very critical component of your phone. Cyanogenmod 7 had be known to cause gps/wifi/bt problems with our model and flashing the latest radio (even if you have the same version already) solves it most of the time.
Hope that helps

Restart problem after update to 2.3.3

Hello, I have a big problem with my x10i.
I used before the Zdzihu freex10 2.2. after the 2.3.3. stock update was here, I installed it.
The first weeks there was no problem, but now, I don´t know from which reason, the phone often restarts it, when downloading apps from the market or during browser is started.
Before the 2.3.3 update there was no problem, everything was fine.
For solution. I tried to repair, reupdated 3 times. deleted sd card data. But the whole problem is here.
Are there any others, with this problem.
Please help me, I don´t think that it is an hardware bug or because the battery power.
Maybe I have installed before the false baseband or something like this. I experimented 2-3 times to flash other baseband´s to the phone, when using zdzihu 2.2.rom. And many times flashed to 10 roms for testing them. Maybe there is a bug, because the basebands or kernels, I flashed before.
Please helpppp
Is there nobody to help me?

IF YOU REPAIR THE PHONE AND IT DOES NOT HELP, YOU HAVE TO BRING IT TO SE SERVICE. That's all. Repair phone mean your phone is clean so there will no software errors.
Me too have same problem

Have you tried flashing a stock rom and seeing if the issue exists still? Could be kernel related...you're not overclocked or undervolted are you?
And how it could be after.update. Before it worked brilliant.maybe the.stock rom gives a bug, when
Using it with the.false kernel or.baseband. should I root the phone for battery wipe or so. I tried battrry calibration. After I saw no solution with this way, I rrleflashed the rom with.flashtool. From an.xda.thread.but noot worked. There.is.a thread named like "install stock gb" , i did the same but.after flash I had the 2.3 and not.the.2.1 . Maybe the flashing was.useless. I dont know

I also had the same problem after uodatimg to Gb,but the problem is gone now.All I did was do a master reset after updating the firmware. It worked for me,might work for you too.Try that and see what happens.Good luck

I did it, but nothing happened.but thx
I don´t know but should I maybe flash the Z kernel for 2.3.3. from zdzihu, Could this be a solution ? thanks
Now I rooted.th.phone and did the Z kernel on it. But.it is worse than before. At every action, needed bit more power, the.phone.restarts. Donotknow why.
And it is sad.to see how nobody helps. There are so much devs in here, for them I think, it is only a little problem, but no solution at all. But thanks
I am waiting

Some times no Sound in calls:

Hi Guys,
I really need your help.
Issue is in one of the five calls I get no sound in in-ear speaker or loudspaeaker earlier I thought It was an network issue but apparently it's not.
If I open keypad while calling and press some numbers then I get the sound.
I am on the latest radio .48 that came pre-installed.
So till now what I have tried, changing kernels going back to stock kernels: none worked.
Also, Flashed PA still faced the same issue.
I also has nexus louder flashed, so I flashed the revert zip, still facing the issue.
Now I am downloading the latest radio zip again but I don't think that it will work.
Please suggest me guys what could be the cause of this issue and solution.

Yes I see that's a common issue but how to fix it ??

i9505 headphone clipping

is there any way to fix this? I have written to Samsung but they just said to factory reset phone. I have tried 3 different firmware and still have distortion and clipping. I have tried 3 different headphones and all are unbearable to listen too, when you put stock Samsung headphones in there's no problem. I tried playing music in my old S3 and sound is excellent.
am running I9505ZHUAME3 with 3.4.0 Adam kernel
I believe this is a common problem so I apologise if this has been posted already
hopefully a software issue.
thanks
Apparently it was fixed in the XXUBMEA update.

using the official ..mea stock rom, no more problems. used to have cracking sound with the old fw with low impedance headset, now its gone. if you still have problems buy earphones that have higher impedance (32ohms -upward)
