[Q] Bluetooth receiving problem, CM 7.0.3 (stable) - Wildfire General

hello there,
i rooted my wildfire a few days back & flashed CM 7.0.3 stable mod and now im experiencing bluetooth receiving problems.
i tried sending a file (.jpg here) from another phone to my wildfire, but i could not, even though the devices are paired. i CAN send files to the other phone & blutooth file share app is also working. i can log into other device & get the filed copied. but i expect to receive b/t files with out such fuzz.
hope u guys can help me out!
cheers

Try flashing the latest radio as seen here
Be careful though, make sure your phone is fully charged and nothing interrupts the process, as you are flashing a very critical component of your phone. Cyanogenmod 7 had be known to cause gps/wifi/bt problems with our model and flashing the latest radio (even if you have the same version already) solves it most of the time.
Hope that helps

Some times no Sound in calls:

Hi Guys,
I really need your help.
Issue is in one of the five calls I get no sound in in-ear speaker or loudspaeaker earlier I thought It was an network issue but apparently it's not.
If I open keypad while calling and press some numbers then I get the sound.
I am on the latest radio .48 that came pre-installed.
So till now what I have tried, changing kernels going back to stock kernels: none worked.
Also, Flashed PA still faced the same issue.
I also has nexus louder flashed, so I flashed the revert zip, still facing the issue.
Now I am downloading the latest radio zip again but I don't think that it will work.
Please suggest me guys what could be the cause of this issue and solution.

yup, i had this after running a custom rom for a few days. i'm sure it wasn't the rom though, i restored back to stock last night just in case, we'll see.
However, in the future, please also post your ROM, kernel, etc.
For example, having your phone OC might result in such random reboots...

I didn't change the kernel and I don't want to name the ROM because I'm sure it's not its fault - it was fine for a few days with plenty of reboots and activity/usage. Sounds like others on stock have the same problem (not necessarily related to the camera issue), so I've gone back to my stock backup and will see what transpires.

I understand you, but it is not like blaming the ROM creator. Is that you might have discovered a bug, and you can help to get it solved.
personally, the first thing I would do is to make a factory reset. This is not the case for you any more... but however.
Good luck and please tell us got things go on...
Fair enough, it was slim bean build 6 on Verizon. I reverted to my stock twrp backup last night (10hrs ago) and been fine so far...

[GUIDE] Fix GPS not working issue after flashing a new ROM without reflashing Radio!

Most of the experianced users may already be aware of this method, but I'm posting this for the benefit of the new users.
Many of you might be familiar with the issue of GPS not turning on after a new ROM flash. Mostly on CM7 and its based-on ROMs. This could be fixed by flashing radios ( haven't tried flashing radios myself ).
But here is an easy way to get GPS working without any trouble.
1). Make a nadroid backup of your current rom if necessary and flash a ROM with working GPS ( a sense ROM or CM6) , if your current ROM has no issues with turning GPS on, skip this step,
2). Open Maps or similar app an wait for a stable GPS fix,
3). Without leaving the Maps or the app you used, turn the phone off. ( GPS must be on as we shutdown the phone)
3). Boot into recovery and flash your new ROM as usual or restore your previous backup,
4). Boot in to the ROM, you'll have GPS working..
Follow steps 2-4 everytime you flash a new ROM to get the GPS working.
Cheers..

Just wandering, what method are you guys using to make GPS work? flashing radio method?
When i had my wildfire i used the radio method first, then the rom one as it was quicker and less dangerous. this will be particularly useful to people with s-on who cannot flash the radio

yes, you're quite right.
A new user recently had trouble with flashing the radio, and he was also trying to fix the GPS issue. And that's why I decided to share this simple method with all new users.

Sorry to bump and old thread but, just out of curiosity would I have to flash a new cm 7 to trigger the GPS or could I restord a nandroind backup instead (obviously after flashing the cm 6 or sense based rom). If the answer's no, could I instead flash the new cm 7 and gapps but advanced restore my data so I can get my apps back (don't know if this will mean having two Google apps because i don't know whether its stored in data or system). Thanks in advance.

As I remember restoring a backup also works...
Gapps are stored in system/apps folder.

I can't tell you how happy I am! I have a galaxy note 2 from verizon and my gps stopped working about a month and a half ago after flashing a new rom. I thought it was a hardware issue because I couldn't find anything online and considering it was acting up on the previous rom. Keep in mind I used an app called GPS Test and could not find a single satellite even after trying in different outdoor locations. I fixed my phone by following steps 2-3 after making a backup of my current rom, and restored a backup of my first rom using TWRP. Once I had that rom installed I used GPS Test to see if it found any satellites and it did! I followed step 2-3 again and restored the rom from the backup I had just made and opened up GPS Test and it worked!!!!!!!!!! Can't tell you how happy I am! I was about to get a new device, a navigation is necessary for me. Honestly, Thank You!!!!!!

Htc sensation
Hi Lads!
I'm experiencing problems with my HTC sensation. I've installed newest ROM and gapps from Albinoman887 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2524961). My GPS works just fine if I'm using WiFi or data network, unfortunately I don't have an internet plan so I can only use WiFi when in range. No matter how long I would wait google maps (I've saved offline map) or Garmin/TomTom wont connect with GPS. I've tried to connect it in not urbanised area, were i wasn't surrounded by building or high trees.I was switching between 'device only' and 'assited with WiFi and network data' but since I don't have internet connection I think it makes no difference. I had this problem as well on - cm-10.1-20130610-Albinoman887-pyramid , but as I had internet plan wasn't bothered about that. Did you face similar problem ? Would you know how to fix that issue ?

Have you tried this procedure? Could possibly be the same issue as you also have a HTC device.
Also, Network Location should work regardless of the data connection status, as it gathers location data from Signal Towers to determine your approximate location.

Bluetooth borked

I'll try to keep this brief, but backstory is necessary.
Original Nexus 4 came in, bluetooth often would refuse to connect to paired devices without rebooting the phone (or power-cycling the other device oddly). This was on stock. Flashed AOKP milestone 2 at some point and problem persisted.
Original Nexus 4 data port broke, RMAed and got a new one (now with nipples!). Flashed the same AOKP milestone and whoa, bluetooth works wonderfully now. Always connects immediately, amazing!
Fast forward to yesterday, I flash the new AOKP 4.3 build along with a new radio at a knowledgable user's suggestions (filename radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1700.84.zip). I'm right back to where I started with bluetooth refusing to connect half the time. Now I KNOW it's not a hardware issue because it worked on this new Nexus until yesterday.
Is this a kernel issue or could it be the radio? Recommendations on what to flash to get my bluetooth working again?

Try reflashing the ROM with a data wipe. If the problem persists, then it's either a ROM issue, or your bluetooth chip is malfunctioning again (Which is improbable).
I was hoping perhaps someone would say "Oh that sounds like a radio issue. Just flash this one and you should be good."
Oh well, I guess I'll put up with it for now and do a factory wipe when AOKP releases a milestone 4.3 or something.

Bugs in nightly builds are very common. If you want to be sure, flash the stock rooted ROM, and check if the problem is a hardware one.
And yeah, the radio is most probably not causing any problems, since most of us use the latest one with no problems.

I was actually having this same problem with stock 4.2.2, CM10.1, and AOKP Milestone2 on the first phone. Didn't have the problem with AOKP Milestone2 on the new phone, but am now with the new 4.3 preview build. Really frustrating. Oh well, I'll keep flashing clean until it works. Thanks.

(Q) unstable wifi on nexus 7 2012

Hi all, couple days before my nexus suddenly have an unstable wifi. It never been this before and it getting worse. Im using the latest purity rom with lean kernel.
I ve tried to factory reset and flash again with the same rom with the same kernel, but it only last for an our than it started unstable again. I reset it my router and my modem but no luck still unstable. But my other phone vs980 work fine.
I have read other topic about this matter and tried to install some of the apps but still does not work.
Is there any rom and kernel that might fix this problem. I am playing online game and it is very annoying to have this problem.
Pleasee help and thanks in advance.

I'm also having this same problem. It seems to have just started out of the blue. I thought it may have been rom related so I flashed a different rom (PA) but I'm still having this problem. I'll report back if I can find anything out. Or if anyone knows the cause or fix for this, that information would be greatly appreciated.
Just now i ve tried cm11 official and it seem the problem still there so i restore my backup and it work fine i think, but stock rom without any modified kernel is so lagging. So i return to purity rom. At first, wifi has stable connection but after that same problem occure.
Please someone advise me what to do .. please.
Do the f2fs fix this problem.
Thanks again and sory for my bad english

Bump
I've done a lot of searching and this seems to be a problem that quite a few people seem to be having, but I haven't come across any solutions. There were mentions of using a Wifi fixer app from the play store but that proved ineffective. Any one else running into this problem?
Same problem here.
I ve tried return to stock again with my backup and did not last for long because to laggy and i flash f2fs lego kernel with purity rom. And then the nightmare came back damnnn. Its is bizzare because a month before ot works just fine with the wifi. Probably with the apps or the router is not compatible . And the worst part, that ive got buffering when watching youtube from the first i had this nexus.
I think the best solution is wait for 4.4.3 to release.
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I did update the ktu84l and wish that fix my wifi but its the same damnnn problemm appear. Still unstable wifi. Check my router and change to my old ones and still the same. My other phone lg, samsung and my old photon works well. Sighhhh oh well i am hopeless with this n7.
