Hi all,
I just released my ROM for the HTC MEGA Touch2, but now there are requests for more languages.
In my localization list in osKitchen there is only 1 language. How can i get some more languages there?
I hope to get response soon!

For OEM you need to dump shipped roms in every language you need,you can find some on www.shipped-roms.com or htcpedia.com
I don't know what you exactly mean. When I'm in osKitchen I import for example the standard Italian ROM and select Italian locales. But then I want to update the build and import the updated build into the program. But after the import of the newest build the Italian language disappeard and the language is set back to English.
Can you tell me what you mean? Or is it impossible?
You need to update you desired language in your imported build too.
Source\Windows Mobile Builds\23569 (example)
in this folder you need to have all language folders that you need...example:
0409
0410
0804
bla bla bla

So in fact I only need to import a new Windows Mobile Build and then copy all 0409, 0410 and so on... in the 29007 folder?
and then I can make my ROM in all those languages I select?
Ok, for make a Multilanguage Rom you need:
all your EXT packages in the relative language.
Your OEM_Lang_xxx (xxx means 0409,0410,etc)
and the part of WM build that i posted before.
Remember that use a language folder from a build to another different one should make problems.
EG: Language folder from 21916 to 29007 = Bad

Don't have a S740 so there isn't much to dump
I try this ROM today. It is strange - I cannot unlock it
regeditSTG2 doesn't run (Access denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate)
Microsoft Security Configuration Manager shows "Two Tier" security model and "tool.cab" from it folder doesn't run too, so I cannot use this software too
How can I unlock this ROM?

Problem with Network after flash with Orenge Rom
I flashed this ROM and I have now only 3G connection.
When I swich to GSM Band, I can not loged to the Network.

Not necessarily... You can flash it using goldcard.

yes, you should edit [HKEY_CURRENT_USER/MUI/CurLang=xxxx]
were xxxx is your language number. but after this modification you may lose your sms notification sound. If so, then you should search for the following files made for your language:
deliveryreportsms_delivered.0419.html
deliveryreportsms_expired.0419.html
deliveryreportsms_failed.0419.html
newtextmsg.0419.html
newtextmsg_unread.0419.html
smssendfailed.0419.html
textmsgclass0.0419.html
this files are for Russian, but you may try to change language code in the names of files and then put it in windows folder

How can I translate Manila 2.5 (HD2 WWE EastEurope 1.43) to my language (Latvian).
There is no available CAB files for Latvian language and if I try to change "CurLang" register,it still remains in english.
Which XML files I need to translate and how I need to rename them?
There are many files xxxxxxx_manila files in \Windows directory.

it's happend some times. you should change CurLang setting, then turn off device with the power button, then soft reset.
There is no translation in Latvian at all. I checked all XML files.
So, I need to translate it by myself.
But I don't know, how I need to rename my created files.
you don't need xml files for manila translation. all files is already there if ROM chief hasn't removed them. 99% of chiefs does not remove this files so all you need is to change in your registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER/MUI/CurLang=xxxx there xxxx is your language code. For English its 0409, for Russian – 1049, for Latvian – you should find out.
I have been testing the Registry tweak to chenge the Rom language, and after some tests I have discovered that if we change the Rom language we lose the notification sounds (Like SMS sound).
So I tested with the attached files I had from a 6.5 ROM from my olg HD. And after copying the files to Windows dir and change the Reg code to Portuguese all is working fine now including notifications.
Attached is a Zip file with all the files needed and a small text file with instructions.
If you want to use this files for another language diferent from Portuguese, all you have to do is to rename the "0816" code from the end of each file to the code from your language.
I hope this is usefull.

Yes, works with all languages if you change the registry to your language code d the files in my Zip to the same code and then copy them to windows dir. It works.
The registry is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI\CurLang and change the value 409 to 408 (Hex) (for example Greek) or try another value for your language. You can find all Windows Locale Codes here: http://www.science.co.il/Language/Locale-Codes.asp
Any way to just have T9 work with Portuguese without changing anything else to Portuguese?

Question : Will this, apart from restoring notifications, have more
screens translated to the respective languages ?
If one hacks the registry now, only the "main tabs" in Sense are translated, as soon as you press a menu it's Dutch or German or whatever language again.
Q2 : If someone can do it for a Dutch ROM that would be great. I've just lend out Touch HD as HD2 arrived.

I just bought my new HD2 and i tried the way as you said. I didn't copy anyt file, i just changed the registry , and now the menu and ferw more things are in my language. The only problem that rem,ains is the Keyboard. Instead of puting anothet program for Keyboard , can i correct also this one? I use for example the Greek language.

This work on changing the manila screen languages, it doesn't change the inner part, ie: new sms or new appointment, the input still in english.
I just try a minutes ago and the result is only change the manila language no the hole language in the device.
You have to delete the old ones form the Windows folder?

Are you certain that you made the registry changes well? I only tested with Portuguese, but in the place where I got those files there were a message saying that it is compatible with all the languages.

Does not change language to Bulgarian (0402). All i need is the keyboard layout not localized menues. And don't offer please any additional keyboards - I've tried them all. Like best the built-in.

Do you mean change 0408 to 0409?
Does this change the T9-words? I just want to be able to use ÅÄÖ (swedish letters) and perhaps word suggestions/correction
So does this change all the program including menus to the prefer language type or only the Sense or part of the system? (eg: the Pocket outook, will it be change to the prefer language?)

This only changes Manilla to Portuguese.
What shall i change for swedish? Is this just for T9 (i dont know what manila is)?

3. import the WM6550-23563-Rollup-All-Pkgs
but the localization setings only list 0409, no other language option

Check and see if you have People_Pages.xml in \Windows\ManilaXml directory. If not, put it there.

It's not language specific. Just look and see if it's there and add it if it's not.
For example:
