Hello~ I recently got my HTC wildfire. I can't hear any sound/music in my earphones after I plugged it in when I listen to the music player. I'm using audio technica earphones which works perfectly fine with my previous HTC touch 2. so i decided to use the earphones that came with the wildfire set. However, that didn't work too! but I can hear the music perfectly fine without the earphones, like blast it through the speakers.
is there a problem with my phone or is there some function i ought to enable or something..? hope someone can help me..
Sounds faulty, send it back for repair
heck if it's properly plugged and if still wont work send it back for repair

I have this problem with my BA in that the speaker on the device still plays the audio when my head phones are plugged in.
Does anyone else have this problem.
I am using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter I bought off ebay that was for this device. The head phones work nicely and play in stereo.
The device is WM6.
Thanks
Same problem
I had the same problem but just once. I played mp3 with HTC audio manager and then I received a phone call. After I end my phone call, the song continued to play but then the sound also come out from the speaker not just from my earphone. I used a motorola 2,5mm stereo earphone
Thanks
Actually. you are right. That is exactly what happened to me. I tried my earphones again today, and it worked fine.
Will a regular earphone work on the HD2. I hate the ones that comes with the unit and would love to use my noise canceling earphones.
I don't care about making calls with the earphones. I just want to listen to the FM radio / music with it.
Since it's got connectors to control the calls, I didn't want to short out my HD2. I searched and found a thread about someone's HD2 reseting everytime the plug in an adapter to the headphone jack. He said it works for other MP3 players, but as soon as he plugs it into the HD2, it resets the Unit and will not function.
i use my ipod earphone to listen to my device
like youtube vids and FM radio
yea, i use sony headphones fine
regular wired headphones will do fine, however i dont know about anyone else, but i can't use the phone mic in calls, i have to unplug the earphones to answer calls.
Okay, thanks. I'm going to give it a shot.
Only recently started to use my HD2 as a music player in earnest.
Everything had been fine using the wired handsfree kit (preferably to bluetooth as sound in the bluetooth was so so low).
As of yesterday though I have a problem - I can hear the other person through the earphones but they cannot hear me. It was intermittent yesterday but today they just don't hear me.
I can't think I have inadvertently clicked some setting but equally I have not damaged the handsfree kit in between the time it worked and now not working.
Anyone got any ideas? I don't suppose these would be covered under the warranty - I only had the phone 3 months
has anyone else noticed that some headphones seem to only play what one ear would hear through both?
i have recently tried a pair of sony ericsson earphones as i managed to wash my htc ones and bust the mic. the pair only seems to pick up what one ear would hear but plays it through two.....
my friend who also has a htc says that when he`s connecting his wf up to his car to play music through it he only seems to get the one ear job as well
anybody any ideas??

Please help me!
In the morning my note 3 was working fine, and i was listening to music trough my headphones.
But a few minutes ago i connected my headphones again, but it doesn't show a notification that my headphones are connected, and it won't play music trough my headphones.
I have found a solution to have this fixed, by using the soundabout app.
My phone doesn't recognize a headphone input, but with the help of the soundabout app i can still play music trough my headphones. So this means that my headphone jack isn't broken.
But why can't i use my headphones the normal way anymore?
I want to get it working again WITHOUT using soundabout. What could be the problem that it just stopped working?
Thank you in advance!
