Hi. Can i have the i-mate JAM manual. Didn't get one with my pre-owned mobile. If it's already uploaded on the ftp, then can you please let me know the location for it. Thanks.

Yes. Probably even more to learn from this site then what i could find in a manual. I read this post about the functions of the two battries (which i didn't know) and someone mentioned that it's in the manual. So i thought i should read the manual incase i'm missing something.

Found it. The manual is here to download in .pdf format. http://www.compactjam.com/ - it says (on the site) that the manual is 47MB but actually is only 8.1MB in size. Can I upload this on the ftp ?

Contact listings

Hi guys I know the question I'm going to asked has been done before but I can't seem to find it through the search function tonight.
Why do some contact have the names reversed?
Examples of whats happening,
Work, Jeff
Two, Home
Depot, Geraldton
Is there anyway of fixing this?
With the last one in particular I have other listings of different depots which have saved correctly :?
Cheers for any thoughts or if someone knows what the heading was for the topic previously.

go to that link and theres two tweaks for your ppc. one saves them as company lastname, firstname and the other does firstname lastname.

App request (icon viewer)

Can someone write a small app to view .icon and .png files? Or does anyone know of one? I am sure I am not the only one with too many icons. But I cant remember what they all look like.

use the search engine on this site to search "picture viewer". There is 1 or 2 that will view most of them. Fyi, They don't take kindly around here to new threads by jr members. it typically means that member didn't do enough research first. Most will tell you this is a reasearch and development site primarily. Not a help me with everything site. Just thought you should no going forward.

MSM7201 datasheet?

Hi all,
So I've done some looking, and from what I've read, and my own searches, I've gathered that the datasheet for the MSM72xx stuff is not readily available anywhere on the net (unfortunately)..
I'm guessing this is something one would need to go to Qualcomm directly to get? (or are there avenues I'm not aware of?) What attempts have already been made in this regard? Are there actually copies of this out there in average people's hands (under NDA, etc), or has one never even been seen outside of Qualcomm/HTC? If it is possible to get them, what procedures are required?
Basically, I'm assuming I'm not the only one who's interested in seeing one of these, but I'm not that familiar with dealing with Qualcomm or with this particular scenario, and I'm not sure what's already been done.. what's the community status in trying to obtain datasheets for these things?
(For clarification: I have found the MSM7200A brochure off the web site, but I'm talking about actual datasheets with technical hardware/programming details)

I've seen user guides older MSMs like MSM62xx on some Chinese forums last year. Probably this is the best you can google.
Unless you order a decent batch of ICs with intention to build a device, Qualcomm is unlikely to provide you with any technical documentation. And people who do have it are tied up by non-disclosure agreements, so they won't let it out either.
But if you manage to get a hold of complete or partial tech notes/data sheets form MSM72xx, please do share with the community.

Identifying a Head unit

Good evening all,
At the beginning of the week I purchased this head unit, for my wife's car. The satnav on it (Primo) is great, and the wife loves it, but the settings, customisation and menus leave a lot to be desired. is it possible for someone to help me identify it, and find out if there is an alternative firmware available please?
Here is the only page that gives me any info about the unit what so ever!

Thanks I know its an eincar unit, but I'm unsure on which firmware I need and where I can find it. I cant see any firmware from their site.

The first thing I would do is contact the supplier. They even have a live chat on their page (top right) and "Contact Us" at the bottom.
Did you already do that?

but on the menus on mine look different to the menus pictured in both the item you've linked to, and the one I have.

I've ordered this one as it looks like there is far more customisations on this. (from what I've seen on youtube.) if that is no better, i'll send them both back.
