MSM7201 datasheet? - G1 General

Hi all,
So I've done some looking, and from what I've read, and my own searches, I've gathered that the datasheet for the MSM72xx stuff is not readily available anywhere on the net (unfortunately)..
I'm guessing this is something one would need to go to Qualcomm directly to get? (or are there avenues I'm not aware of?) What attempts have already been made in this regard? Are there actually copies of this out there in average people's hands (under NDA, etc), or has one never even been seen outside of Qualcomm/HTC? If it is possible to get them, what procedures are required?
Basically, I'm assuming I'm not the only one who's interested in seeing one of these, but I'm not that familiar with dealing with Qualcomm or with this particular scenario, and I'm not sure what's already been done.. what's the community status in trying to obtain datasheets for these things?
(For clarification: I have found the MSM7200A brochure off the web site, but I'm talking about actual datasheets with technical hardware/programming details)

I hope you can find something.. I have been searching also and have not been able to find anything..

I've seen user guides older MSMs like MSM62xx on some Chinese forums last year. Probably this is the best you can google.
Unless you order a decent batch of ICs with intention to build a device, Qualcomm is unlikely to provide you with any technical documentation. And people who do have it are tied up by non-disclosure agreements, so they won't let it out either.
But if you manage to get a hold of complete or partial tech notes/data sheets form MSM72xx, please do share with the community.

do you have a link to those MSM6xxx docs.

Also, here's an MSM7200 teaser for all of us:

The actual PDF is not attached, but I guess the poster does have it.

Has the MSM72k stuff

Thanks RyeBrye, excellent stuff!

The link that RyeBrye posted no longer has the files available. Does anyone know of another location that MSM7201 datasheet can be downloaded?
Thanks

Hey guys, here is all the docs u been looking for. I'm not the one who aquried them. I'm not the one who uploaded them. I simply ran across them when tryin to fig out how to enable video output.

Fonts/Language Support for XDA2

Hi there,
As with some I am new to the world of XDA. I never new this kind of subculture existed!
Firstly thank you to the volunteers who have put a lot of effort in to getting a site like this up and running! Well done.
I should get to my point now...has anyone got a comprehensive list of characters/fonts the XDA2 can display. I have checked the official pages, and also the XDA itself but I am pretty dissapointed with the level of support. I surf lots of pages and also communicate in a number of languages namely Eng/Jap/Kor. But I cannot find any patch to enable display of these languages?
Asking the offical support sites gets the usual response of "We are thinking about it, but have nothing in the pipeline".
This is very frustrating.
If anyone knows when/where I can get this kind of patch I/we would be mutually greatful.
Cheers

Read GPS coordinates and upload them to a website

Hi all,
I'm looking for a very simple program which will read GPS coordinates from my bluetooth GPS receiver and use a GET or FORM request to upload them to a website, i.e.
www.website.com/gps.php?n=000.000&w=000.000
Does such a program exist? I've had a look around here and on Google and can't find anything.
If not, I would be willing to have a go at making it. In this instance, does anyone have any pointers for reading the data from the Com port?
Thanks
Oliy
Try the search next time

Thanks for the link, however all the solutions in there are far more complex than what I want, or limited to me making an account on someone else's server.
Is there just a really simple app to do this? Or could anyone provide source code of getting the GPS coordinates, and I could make the rest of the program from there.
Cheers
Oliy: it's a little more involved then just reading the com port. What kind of experience do you have? You have to do quite a bit of token and string parsing. Have a read of the GPS protocols:

Hi Vijay,
Thanks for the link. String and token parsing is fine. I have plenty of experience in core operations of programming languages, it's when you get into hardware specific things that I have very little experience.
I don't have a whole lot of time to program at the moment, I start my internship on monday and I have work on my own little OmapScaler project building up as well, but I've found a guy on this forum who seems to have the same ideas as me, I've PMd him and will hopefully get a reply soon.

Just an idea or two

How about on this thread,we answer two things ,which may helpspread awarness of apps & prog out there maybe also help see what your exec can do and achieve
If the above idea is ok I'd like to ask two things
A
If you just got a brand new shiny out the box exec, what would you do too it and what would you add.?
I Intend this weekend to save and compress any memory,by using another ROM and other software, but I have no idea,so ill search the site this weekend
secondly maybe we can post up here ,things you'd like, your exec to do,
hopefully if your request isn't too OTT,someone may know a way or provide a link
for e.g.
I'd like my exec to watch tv is this poss?
reply
either pre load your memory card with compressed films and use a dvd software, like this
www.alink.com
or install slingbow and the relevant software, this is there homepage
www.homepage.com
a one thread resource for a how to,regards the limitations of an exec
jaceuk - we're having this discussion over here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=56072&highlight=
But basically, the wiki lives, and is used as a repository for knowledge. Anyone can access/update it. That's the best way to distribute this type of information.
Regarding what to do with your Exec, there are several threads on the subject... eg what software to install etc.
OTT requests - just post them. People will respond if they can!
Very few things are too OTT

Thanks as always ur the gent,i was unaware of the wiki ill look
thanks
But any questions, search first, but do ask. That's why we're a community

What happened to Sashimi???

I am looking for something to automate my email settings after flashing. Sashimi seemed to be the software that would do the trick. Seems like it dropped off the face of the earth. Author is banned here and the winmob experts website that he moved to is gone altogether.
Anyone know if this software is still available or is there something that will do the same thing that is current.
Thanks
Paul
Am also wondering. Have the experts on xda transitioned to something other than Sashimi?
It's your lucky day, a guy just near there have posted a modified version :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9303770#post9303770
Disclaimer : I haven't tested this one, so i can't tell if it's crap or not...
Sashimi still standard??
Is Sashimi still the defacto standard being used ? I know SPBclone is the pro cloning/imaging sw, but i figured developers would constantly be tweaking a similar solution.
FYI some Tutorial Vids that might be of interest to anyone in my point in this learning curve. I found them of interest @ least These will have links to the rest available on Youtube
oops - seems as a new user i cant share the links w/u but search for 'winmoexperts' on youtube and u will see
thnx again all - site has been very educational
very nice, thank you buddy

Qualcomm Interface Control Document needed (GSM, WCDMA, GPS, ETC.)

I need urgently the Interface Control Documents for Qualcomm (ICD) for GSM, WCDMA, GPS,ETC. If anyone has it, kindly intimate me at [email protected] or Skype : Pradeep.029. I need them very urgently, so please share at earliest.
Thanks in advance.
Few months back someone shared about 140 pdf from Qualcomm but that download link is not working anymore. May be its blocked or the file has been removed from that location for various reasons.
Part of that thread is as follows :
E.V.A posted a link of Qualcomm 140 pdf documents on 3rd feb 2013.
I need that folder as its no more available on sendspace.
please share it with me.
A recent and massive Qualcomm documentation leak...
A recent and massive Qualcomm documentation leak has been discovered and forwarded to us by Craig Barratt. Guenter Weinberger then repackaged and made a meta-data clean-up of the ~140 PDF files in...
Kindly email at [email protected] & my skype ID is same i.e. pradeep.029.
Once we are connected thru email, we can definitely find way how to transfer it.

Also would enjoy the Spring 2013 qualcomm documents
I have looked many places and would enjoy reading them also. Although this may not be the place to ask....
Why ? Is it banned here ?
Any other specific place you know where I shall visit ?:laugh::laugh::laugh:

pm me if anyone gets their hands on it (gladly would mirror it)
I also am in need of it but only two files. A eMMC partitions and a chipset tutorial.. I have the file numbers at house along with correct name.

I think the guys have poorly remove PDF watermarks,
and leaked the qcom customer name.
therefore stopped sharing for community.
