Will there be or are there replacement back covers available anywhere yet? I bought a case for the phone. THe case doesn't add a ton of bulk but I would prefer to use the phone without a case and if scratch it up it would be nice to replace.

Like a pratt, i dropped my MDA Compact while getting out of the car. It diudn't damage the phone (thank god) but did scratch the case to bits.
Does anyone konw where you can order a replacement?
I've tried HTC Europe, and yes they do a replacement service, but not just parts, and they want about £60 to replace and fit.
So any ideas? I'm sure i'm not the only one looking to replace their case!!!
Hi tricky,
I saw another post on this topic a while back. Just searched and found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16288.

looked there... as I said in the original post, I tried HTC Europe and they want about £60 to replace the case. I would need to send them the phone and be without it for probably 2 weeks!!
I'm after somewhere that just sells the front cover, so I can fix it myself
If you done replacing your case buy a silicon case or clear case or hard case for your device for it wont happen again.
Cheers, need to find a replacement case first!!!
Hi TrickyD
Yeah for some insane reason the cases are real expensive, i tried in Asia and they wanted equiv 65 pounds also.
Armed with the correct tools, one of those star shaped screwdrivers (techie speak) available anywhere, i took mine apart, which is quite easy. Followed by wet and dry sandpaper, primer and some mighty fine metalic black car paint and laquer. Its been like this now for about 2 months and not a scratch (yes ive dropped it to, but they are slippery little buggers)
If your that way inclined, do it, best decision i ever made.. Warranty void of course...

Gravity
Well, I dropped mine too. Instead of getting a replacement case, I just bought a charcoal Capdase cover for it. Now it doesn't fall because I can grip it so much easier. Unless you plan on selling it, you could just live with the scratches underneath the silicon cover, you won't see them.
Hello, does anyone know where i can find a replacement housing for HTC X7500,because it scratches easily and now it looks very ugly. Thanks
man.......thats really bad......
Always keep Athena in Leather case...
My unit does not have this problem although I never use the leather case and keyboard cover.
Not a single scratch. Still look brand new.
If in the very rare occasion that I put it in my pocket, I just make sure that I keep my keychains and coins away in a different pocket. However, almost always, I carry it in my DIY pouch, as shown in this picture.

I wanted to know if anyone had any good or bad experiences with clear cases like this one
http://www.amazon.com/AT-Fuze-Activ..._75?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1227055029&sr=1-75
I want to get a case that will protect the fuze from drops. I drop my previous phone the 8525 twice and because I'm in a city the first drop was on one of those metal grates and the phones edges got scratched up more than I would have liked and the second time was on a concrete side walk. Both times I was pulling out my phone from my case on my hip and lost grip. I was interested in getting a case that I can pull my phone from the top. That may help prevent me losing grip. But I still want to put something on the phone incase I loss grip again and drop the phone. And I was looking for something that will not put that much bulk or take away from the looks of the phone. If anyone has any suggestions or experence with cases or skins that I can put on the phone to try and protect it from a drop I would like to read about it
I had the boxwave clear case for my 8525, and it saved my phone several times. There were a couple problems though. For starters, the gaps between the plastic and the phone get covered in dirt, and you have to remove the case to clean it out. The case snaps on to your phone will little plastic tabs. If one of those breaks, part of your case will be loose.
However, I will certainly give the case full marks for protecting my phone. It survived drops, throws, smashes, and just about everything else you can imagine would happen if a 1 year old got a hold of your phone. So, if you don't really care about the phone getting dirty and whatnot, the boxwave case provides some good protection while adding a minimal amount of bulk to the phone.
I had a case similar for my HTC Tilt and I loved it, it saved my phone several times too and it has a belt clip which I loved! Also if you get that case they have it on eBay for cheaper... I believe it was $9.99 or something like that, I was looking earlier today and saw it on there but I bought a Hot Pink Rubberized one instead. But I like the cases, of course it's your own personal preference though. Hope I'm not too late with the eBay info though lol. Here's my search link, there are a couple cases for it.

Search for the body glove case. It is rubberized, not the best looking of cases, but might protect it the best. I bought mine on ebay.
I bought the official AT&T 2-piece case for $29.99 (-30% FAN discount).
It fits, but tabs that hold it on make the phone seem like it's going to get stuck in a half open position.
I wanted to thank everyone for there suggestions.
NotATreoFan is this the case you bought at ATT

HTC Touch Pro Case Protection
For those of you who have a Touch Pro and have the Sprint included HTC brand case, you probably have the same gripe about it as I do. There is very little protection to the side of the phone as the OEM case has several gaps in it. Also using the case for a few weeks, the velcro begins to lose its hold and the case may not shut properly. I have customized my case to fix these problems and would encourage others to do the same. Here is what you will need:
-Small elastic material (available at any craft store or Wal-Mart!)
-3M double sided tape
-Velcro strips
-5 minute epoxy (Wal-Mart)
Directions: Cut a piece of elastic the same length as the open portion of the side of the case. Cut out small pieces of double sided tape and apply to the black cross sections of the case. Apply the elastic and cut to size. For the the velcro fix on the front of the phone, cut a strip of the velcro and fit to size on the front of the case. Mix the 5 minute epoxy and apply to the back of the velcro strip you just cut. Apply the velcro to the case and allow to dry (apply pressure to ensure a tight fit). Enjoy your case!
Just today i accidentally dropped HTC Touch Pro on solid concrete and the phone got scratched badly. However the scratched area can be easily replaced as it only the area on the battery cover and I'm a guy how really cares about my own phone so i just want to ask where can i get a replacement that is cheap worth replacing and safe because i wont invest anywhere over $20USD to repair visual damages or else it isnt really worth it. Just want some suggestions. And also if you guy don't mine recommend a new protection case as i think the htc leather case that comes with it doesnt provide enough protection because when i drop it the case was slipped on but still gets scratched. Thanks in advanced
Search for it on ebay, i saw one on their about two days ago.

Hi, I'm looking for the stock back battery cover. I would like to have an extra if possible since this phone scratches so easily even with a case on it dust and dirt always seem to find a way in between the phone and the case to scratch it. I don't even know if u can find these anywhere but suggestions would be great... And what are some good cases you would recommend? Thanks!
They're all over the place on eBay. They even have special ones made of aluminium, leather, and plastic with designs. You can just go to eBay or Amazon and search for "Galaxy S4 battery cover" to view the lot of them.
Here's a link to a stock one though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171033241749?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
