DJ05 Help

I know links to the DJ05 have been removed to protect people from loosing there job, but if someone could PM me with any information on how I can find it I would be very grateful. I am sick of it taking me 15 minutes to get a GPS lock and I am in a new town and I use GPS a lot to get around. Please PM me with help.

The gps fix files ripped from the dj05 update are widely available on the forums and even built into pre dj05 roms like blackhole. If you really want the dj05 system try the irc channel. This really isn't the place to ask for this. Also, be patient.

I installed blackhole w/ the gps fix and it didn't work for me, thankfully I don't use gps all that much

The gps fix in Backhole works fine for me and since that's the only thing I really cared about from DJ05 I'm just waiting for the official release.

Just loaded blackhole, and it is by far the most beautiful rom. But alas no gps fix. I have tried everything.
This sucks. I really love this phone otherwise. But this gps half hour to get a lock crap drives me crazy.

dj05 is not a virus im using it on
my fascinate and it is amazing!
just like everyone has been saying
and where i got it from head to irc
all this crap about dj05 being a virus
its really not,unless "YOU" did something wrong
flashing it,thatsnyour fault dont blame it on

and installing blackhole does not give
you a gps fix chs your not running dj05
only that has the fix for it

[Q] Don't wanna seem pushy... but...

Most forums here on XDA and elsewhere are very good about updating the thread title's with the actual date of any new ROM or KERNAL updates.
For some reason in this Fascinate Dev forum, only 1 thread on the first page has this in the title... is there anyway I could ask the wonderful people here to do the same?
For example, the Eris dev forum have an updated DATE in nearly all the thread titles.

Yea it would be great to know when things changed. And how old the stuff is.

It would help, but changelogs essentially do the same. We don't have a ton of ROMs/kernels available for the fascinate, so I dont see it as a big issue.

Not everyone goes into a thread to read a change log. Most people will just think a thread that has unread is just the latest postings, not anything new in the OP. So in reality the thread title would be the best bet for the updated info or date per say.

Some change logs don't have dates either. I agree that thread titles should include the dates and/or share a standard format.

I do realize this... but still, an actual update DATE in the thread title would make for some really quick "drive throughs" for a lot of people who have internet A.D.D. (like myself), if you know what I mean?

Well thanks... that was a fun set-up! Just as impressive (imo) was that the motor was 100% stock (JDM STI, but still stock).
Since then, I built the motor and slapped on a GT35R… I ran a 10.780 @ 136.2 like that. Getting her ready in a couple weeks for hopefully some deeper 10’s at around 140… traction permitting
Nathan (nmyeti) is on here as well… I guess this Fascinate (or android in general) must attract us Subie guys or something, haha! Like I told Nathan, modding is in our blood no matter what it is.

Just because the last edited date is updated doesn't actually mean the software posted is updated. That could be a spelling/grammar/link update for all we know.

And well the thing is XDA is a great place... and in OTHER forums in here, its the norm. For some reason its just been looked over in the fascinate section...
It was suggested that it's not a big deal because there aren't a lot of roms in here... my rebuttal to that is, eventually were gonna have more stuff... hopefully A LOT of stuff... so why not prepare proactively for what we all hope for?

Believe me, you don't want to spend a moment in my mind. I understand the usefulness of irc but I was simply pointing out that it seemed at that time to me that it was just people *****ing about not having froyo. I personally do not have time to waste on people who whine about what they don't have instead of being grateful for what they do have. I personally am satisfied in knowing that we have some great devs working to improve on what we already have.

nothing to forgive about your comments..i learned a lot of appreciation for devs because my old phone was a moto backflip and we had no hope of 2.1 let alone 2.2 until a dev got 2.1 working months before moto. but the intoxication part without sharing is just completely unforgivable

So a long time I've read about voodoo kernals on this site.. But I've never found any info fully explaining them.. Could someone please break it down for me..I'm not putting something on my phone I don't understand.. I'm currenty running dl30 going to eb01 tonight.. But I heard voodoo was out and everyone is pumped.. Please tell me why? What is it exzactly?

so what is the difference between a thread for a developing rom and a thread for a more complete rom? a download? cmon give him a break there are like 2 or 3 other threads like this. not so much of a coming soon thread as an underdev thread. but i agree he should definitely change the thread to (under-development) or something like that so people dont get their hopes up.

RFS with an OC kernel feels pretty darn good, too. Why ask why anyone would want support for the stock file system?

Their you go it will be a few days until its out still piecing the base rom together and going to do some digging around for stuff I want to do.....hoping for a partner this time around...maybe me and ecooce can get together and make it super skinny and shiney.
