Hello, I just did a update to my kitchen in 23,151, I would like to see a small
magnifying glass in the top left of the Taskbar.
Have you an idea, it must come from the register, but what key terrain.
Thank you for your help.
Solution found :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\MAGNIFIER]
"Enable"=dword:00000001

hate how small it is.... very hard to use without the stylus... is there an easier to use input changer that could be more touch friendly out there?
LOL SERIOUSLY! someone has to agree!
I agree but it's not worth the effort to alter.

you hurt my feelings
Try QuickMenu. It has a feature to change SIP.
It would be great to develop a small program with command line switching of SIP. Then we could assign certain SIPs to hardware buttons. Especially useful for skanndelus
been looking on the web for a tweak for this, can't seem to find anything relevant in any files or registry either
I agree, the arrow is way too small and it also takes far too long for the menu to pop-up.
THis is a serious issue for me as I write e-mails and text messages in dual languages every day. If that arrow was an ear hair bigger I could get it with my thumbnail....how frustrating!!!! What about adding an item to the tap-and-hold menu or making a switch I could assign to a hardware key? I would gladly donate $20 to someone who can fix this!
Try this little app...
Hi Lycox, the little app you posted is "phonepad" I think this is not a solution, but could be usefull if I could just hit the little arrow to select it from my really slow sip list.
Well I don't get it, it maybe just made phonepad the default sip, didn't think I had it installed.
Doh, now I get it, I assigned it to a button and of course Lycox, this is exactly what I wanted. Would be nice to just flip between two favourite sips, rather than go through them all, but I'll probably find out it does in a minute. Thanks anyway Lycox.
it's fantastic! Now we need to find a way to get rid of 'keyboard' and other SIPs we don't use. If there were just two on the list this would be it.
I don't find the arrow size as annoying as the time it takes for the menu to pup up.
I find it easier to go Start-> Settings-> Input and change things there. Silly really.
Just found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=242503
Edit: but I can't get it to work.
found this at pocket gear http://classic.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=26285 but it's not free.
10$ ? That's a lot for a little tool. Anyway.
With the one posted by Lycox I get an error every time I do the full circle of input methods:
"SipSetCurrentIM Error=0".
Not a big issue, annoying nevertheless.
How to disable unused SIPs?

i figured out how to do this last night.... i'll see if i can find the link... it was just a matter of finding the reg keys under classes, then changing a dword value from 1 to 0 to remove it from the list.
Do NOT remove the default "keyboard" from the SIP list. If you do and something goes horribly wrong, you can be left with an inputless device.
can read about removing unused SIP modes from the list here...

bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am looking to see if anyone knows how to remove the icons on the Today Screen... I'm talking about the small icons in the bottom right corner just above the "contacts" bar... It's not an option in the today screen settings and I freakin hate them.
Thanks.
Remove the Tray Icon from Today Screen:
Registry: \HKLM\init\
Key: Launch92
Action: DELETE
Note: If you want to keep some but not all of the icons:
Registry: HKLM\Software\HTC\TrayApplet
There you'll find listings for each icon (the folders are for the WinWap, MyFaves, and CommManager tray icons). Remove the ones you don't want and soft reset. If you remove the music player settings, you will then have to uncheck the plug-in from Today items.
this was one of the first things i found out about right here on xda. you can almost always find what your looking for with the search feature. Remember if you dont find it at first try to change your wording.
I tried MANY different wordings. This is pretty much the only forum where I truly have a tough time finding what I need..
I take it I need registry software to make this one work
God I'm so glad to see those worthless icons gone! Bloody brilliant, removing the contacts bar and those stupid tray icons... my home plug and today items line up PERFECTLY without needing a scrollbar!!! SWEET!
Thanks for your help.
Any other registry tweaks that could be helpful you think??

Hi,
Anyone know where I can find this? I really liked having the shield protect the soft keys from being pushed while on the phone
You mean a hard shield or a soft shield?
Soft shield = Pocketshield
Cheers
Thanks for the reply, but it was more like a curtain coming up when you made or received a call...
Ok, the latest HTC dialer(the one with the slider) has that curtain, there is a CAB file somewhere arround here. It covers the phone buttons but not the Start menu (ears can also tap, believe me )
PocketShield displays a fullscreen curtain during calls (in case you didn't try it)
Regards
Thanks for the tip - looks like a good program, so I'll give it a shot
hi i have a little problem about my touchscreen when i touch in the middle of my touchscreen the start menu pop up.what can i do about it.please help.
thank you in advance.
there is a little tool called topbar that will fix this. Just do a search on this site.
Now I have a question myself : I have topbar installed on my P3600 and it`s working fine so far. But when I try to sketch a note or use Transcriber I can see that there are still alot of tears towards the upper left corner. So it seems topbar just suppresses the startmenü popup but not the actual phantom coordinate press.
So is anyone able to use Transcriber on P3600 ? I understand that not everybody (but alot of people) suffer from the "thumb-bug", maybe it would help to install a new digitzer ?
I've got this same problem. When I can find this topbar?
Hello folks
I've tried searching and that didn't turn up with any straight forward ways to disable it. For those who might not know what it is, I'm talking about the small bar that slides down from the taskbar when you press the clock on the top right (where the default task manager usually is). It's only found in 6.5.x SYS.
Thanks
Information is wrong. Post edit not to cause confusion...
Anyways, I installed Arkswitch. Now the left side of the taskbar = arkswitch, middle = htc notifications and the right side does nothing.. most of the time. Now and then it is possible to open that bar but it's mostly gone so I guess that's good enough for me
