g4 rom's

Hi, I have one of the new g4 prophet ( as a replacement for an older g3 that was damaged) - boot says spl 2.15.0001.
I have sucesfully unlock with lockwiz and flashed it to RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_S hip-NoVendorID.zip rom. Only problem is I would realy like to have the old voice dialing that the imate rom uses.
Is there any way of installing the old voice dialing or is there a suitable imate rom for my g4 prophet

How did you manage to get Lokiwiz 03 to work for this G4 Chipset??
I have tried numerous times but to no avail.

Just copy the 2 cab files into your PDA and run them. They will dissapear after you run them.
Then run enablerapi.bat. After a couple of minutes there you are! the code is there! Take note of it!
Insert a Sim card from another operator. When it asks for the unlock code, put it there! And it's done...CID unlocked G4 model.

you sim unlocked the phone not the CID! CID lock is entirely different from SIM Lock..

But since he just removed a sim lock, how on earth did he manage to flash his prophet with new rom???

Because of the 'NoVendor-ID'.
I did exactly the same. It's no problem.

how did the lokiwiz work? i have the G4 prophet as well but i got the message "....cant find path" and after unlocking the message "unlock code is now your sim code" ?? where do i get the unlock code, its not on my screen..

If it is CID unlocked i can install roms from any vender if im not wrong. Can u please send me these 2 files

the 2 cab files is in Lokiwiz rar file called (Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab)
but as I know there no way to get G4 Cid unlocked by this way

Hi,
I bought an herald not blocked to any operator, i tried to upgrade it
to WM6 but it crash during te update (don't know why).
I tried to re-flashed it with RUU_Herald_HTC_WWE_1.8.405.1_02.71.90_Ship.exe
but i got an invalid vendor id something like message.
I try to find a no vendor id with no success.
Please Help!!

There are VERY much posts of people who are havig the same prob's. And yes there is a good possibility that your device is bricked. BUT wich ROM was installed on yur device? you could try these two ROM's first before messing around!

first to to is putting your device in bootloader mode: HOLD Camera and then press soft reset once. then connect to pc via USB, then run the RUU and follow the steps. good luck

I already tried both of these roms and even more, even roms from other
models but always with the same error: INVALID VENDER ID
I think the solutions will be:
-Right or NoVendorId Rom. (Like for the prophet)
-Mtty trick but with right Commands and values
-SD Boot trick via HERAIMG.nbh well signed.
Please someone to help us

You could flash back no problem by flashing back to original shipped ROM......problem is though you need to find out which ROM came with your phone, then you need to get your hands on it.

How to get a custom bootloader and fix "invalid vendor" error.

I just got my HTC herald today
IMO there's alot of different informations on this forum (which isn't a bad thing), so I got a bit confused.
I first wanted to try out WM6, so I installed a version that diddn't work out for my HTC. (Keyboard is russian, language sometimes german, and wireless is not working). It was by a dos prompt or so, so I didn't get the "invalid vendor id" error.
Now I want to get WM5 back, but all of the installers tells me that my phone has a "invalid vendor ID", so I can't downgrade.
I heard something about installing some kind of customized bootloader will fix it, which is where I get confused. I read about NBH extract, but I was told that it was only for extracting some kind out of your bootloader, to customize it. Many of the threads I was able to find, took starting point in already knowing about technical terms about HTC's, which I don't know about yet

You got confused - becuse there is no way to flash a modified bootloader. when you get the vendor id error - you have to take an official rom to flash. one in your language.
And if you don´t have it - you have to wait - because there is no way unbricking without the official RUU.

Help Stuck in Bootloader

Can anyone help?
I'm stuck in Bootloader SPL 1.1.
I've tried hard and soft reset but it just comes back to Bootloader (Red, Green, Blue and white screen).
Can re flash as it's not being recognised and just timesout.
On the screen it say's
ATHE100
IPL-v2.02
ATHE100
SPL-v1.10. RP00
Would trying to flash from SD card help, don't have a miniSD card so not tried.
Not sure how it got to this state as I purchased it from eBay as is.

Tried flashing the stock firmware
Athena_WM6_TMUK_2.35.110.4
But get error Invalid Vendor ID
All other ROM's and upgrades that I've tried just timeout.
Any help or pointers appreciated.

If your casing is black you may need to use these original roms
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Athena/Shipped_Complete_Updates
once you have loaded a rom ,you have to unlock to accept non native roms.
Please read the wiki and how to guides in the athena wm6 forum

I forgot to mention it's a sliver / white T-mobile Ameo UK version.
The box says it should be WM 6.
What original ROM should I try.

i think the reply to task32 means it is not unlocked and i believe you should be able to flash a TMUK rom based on your description of the case.
Go basic and make sure you removed the sim and sd card
Use an XP machine and try a different cable.
You could try to find a TMUK wm5 rom
Flashing from sd card also removes some potential problems.
If all else fails you could try messaging cmonex who is a whiz in these situations

Thanks for the help.
I've tried 2 PC's both XP and different cables still same issue.
Any idea where I could get TMUK WM5 tried looking but can't find, it's probably the only ROM I've not tried.
I've sent a message to cmonex so hopefully he will be able to help.
I've tried the TMUK WM6 and it at least starts to flash 1% then gets Invalid Vendor ID. All other ROM's just fail to communicate.

Model ID
I believe I have a corrupt or Invalid Model ID which is preventing and ROM from being flashed.
Does anybody know the mtty commands or can help me.

I saw your multiple posts.
please don't ask the same question in 5 different threads.
The first thing to be clear about is what hardware do you have
x7500/x7501 is different to X7510
Which one do you have?
To apply any of the special ROMs you need to be unlocked and when you entered bootloader you should have seen either
athe100
IPL-v1.00
athe100
SPL-v1.20 Olipro
0r
Athe
IPL-v1.00
Athe
SPL-v3.50 Olipro
if you have an x7510 the numbers would have been different with Athe400(designating a different hardware)
If the SPL was 1.0x then you weren't unlocked and I don't think anyone knows how to fix your phone from here.
If you know what your original software is you could try flashing from bootloader.
if you don't understand the terms I have used, I suggest you read up the stickys and wiki before asking anything else as any solution will be quite complex.
Have a think and a read before doing anything else

There are two ways for have a solution 1) Found your rom original, you must go to HTC website, and write your ID that´s is under the battery and then you can download your correct region rom. or 2) Use SSPL. Found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=694409 Read this forum to understand like work.
If you want update only the radio then the one way is the first. With SSPL you don´t update the radio.
