Update radio, prompted ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDER ID. Please help. - HD Mini General

Update Radio_32.2806.05.06_0.63.05.40, prompted ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDER ID. Please help.

There are two ways for have a solution 1) Found your rom original, you must go to HTC website, and write your ID that´s is under the battery and then you can download your correct region rom. or 2) Use SSPL. Found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=694409 Read this forum to understand like work.
If you want update only the radio then the one way is the first. With SSPL you don´t update the radio.
Good Luck

How to get a custom bootloader and fix "invalid vendor" error.

Hi,
I just got my HTC herald today
IMO there's alot of different informations on this forum (which isn't a bad thing), so I got a bit confused.
I first wanted to try out WM6, so I installed a version that diddn't work out for my HTC. (Keyboard is russian, language sometimes german, and wireless is not working). It was by a dos prompt or so, so I didn't get the "invalid vendor id" error.
Now I want to get WM5 back, but all of the installers tells me that my phone has a "invalid vendor ID", so I can't downgrade.
I heard something about installing some kind of customized bootloader will fix it, which is where I get confused. I read about NBH extract, but I was told that it was only for extracting some kind out of your bootloader, to customize it. Many of the threads I was able to find, took starting point in already knowing about technical terms about HTC's, which I don't know about yet
Is there anyone that can help me solving this problem? I already downloaded "RUU_Herald_HTC_WWE_5.4.405.1_4.1.13.34_02.79.90_Ship.exe", which gave me the "invalid vendor id" that I got from all of the others aswell.
So, what do I do now?
Regards,
Thomas

You got confused - becuse there is no way to flash a modified bootloader. when you get the vendor id error - you have to take an official rom to flash. one in your language.
And if you don´t have it - you have to wait - because there is no way unbricking without the official RUU.
Sorry

Error [300]: Invalid Update Tool...

What should be done if this error is flashed while using almost all the versions of UPP.
I've used version 3.6.3.5 at max.
Can anyone suggest me a version which can work for me. Preferably a higher version of UPP, along with download link.

try to flash the original ROM first by SD card flashing (info about it HERE)

Did you run USPL first?
Nothing is working.
SD Card Flashing shows Invalid Certificate with the original ROM, and same with all the others.
My Detailed post is here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2748739#post2748739
Why Error Message
Upon doing getdevinfo on MTTY if you get GetDeviceCID: Error - InitDecoder
Then all RUU versions will give this error.

Goldcard Vs Hspl

What are the main differences of using a goldcard or using hspl to flash to 1.48.405.2?
I have already flashed to 1.48.405.2 with a goldcard but I was wondering if there were any befefits/disadvantadges to flash using HSPL.
What does HSPL offer that the goldcard flash doesnt?
Gold card lets you flash official roms only, you need sspl or hspl to flash cooked roms.
oh ok. is there any other advantadges other than bieng able to flash cooked roms?
Ive just tried to install the "SIM contacts update" from the HTC website.
I went through the install process but at 4% it returned the error: ERROR 294 INVALID VENDOR ID.
I did use a goldcard to flash to 1.48.405.2
If I use HSPL will I have this issue?
Sorry can't help any further, im a shallow paddler in the sea of ROM cooking and what not i'm afraid. There are a fair number of threads that mention the update you talk about, , the best advice i can say is read everything, read it all again, and only then start to actually 'do' anything.

Please help, how do I install the new rom 1.66 in English??

I am desperately trying to install the new rom because i cant bear the sms problem anymore.
I bought my phone from Vodafone UK; its running Rom 1.43. I typed in my S/N on HTC's UK site on the HD2 page..and it tells me "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device"
So instead i downloaded the WWE 1.66 Rom from a thread on this site. All went well until around 30 seconds into the install, an error message popped up on the installer saying "Error 294: Invalid Vendor ID". and the installation stopped
And now i have no idea what to do...!
Any ideas??

Use HSPL. This will let you flash any rom (cooked or official (with other language..)).
You can find it in the ROM section of this forum.
Grtz,
Degake
I followed these excellent instructions and worked ok for me, I have Vodafone HD2.

Thanks! I'll give it a go..

HTC Trophy - NEED FULL FLASH

Hi, guys.
I have real problems with my Trophy. My English is not so good, but i try to explain my problem:
1. I had HTC_Trophy with Spanish vodaphone(vodaphone logo when system starting), but it seems unlocked, because i can use it in Uzbekistan.
2. Bootloader version was 5.12.xx, and i wanted to downgrade it. I wanted to install on my phone DFT v4.
3. I done it by GoldCARD, and i got message radio update failed , update failed (in red).
After this problem i can't install any ROM's, even original SPAIN. It give me error 226: Flash Write Error on 10%. Only DFT Roms installing fully, but after rebooting device i get 7 vibro signals(anybody know what means this error 226, and 7 vibro signals).
Than my friend installed in my device Full Flash (Model ID: SPAR1000, i have Model IDC401000) by Riff Box J-tag. And my device turned ON. But camera still not working, i think that it cause wrong Model id.
And one thing else, when i wanted to install Radio separately by RUU, i've got the same Error: 226 on 98%. Well i think that something wrong with my Radio module.
Any IDEAS???
P.S. Anybody, please give me FULL FLASH for my trophy, with Model IDC401000, for Riff Box J-Tag. I really need it.
P.S.S. Languages I understand: Русский, English, Türkçe, Uzbekcha.
Thx!!!

Probably you have the wrong rom ....
See here how to find the rom for your trophy
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=924333
What i had:
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51201.164
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.1
164 - Vodafone_SPA operator, with CID VODAP304
I've tried to install this version, but it failed: ERROR 226: Flash Write Error.
Try building a GoldCard, and then install the Euro Spark rom into your phone using GoldCard method. This will also change its CID at the same time, and make it possible to downgrade SPL and install HSPL (custom roms).
Dear TheXev, thx for answer!!! Could you post the link for Euro Spar rom that i have to install in my device. P.S. THX!!!

RUU_Spark_HTC_Europe_1.10.401.04_Spark_5.52.09_RELEASE.exe is the name of the rom, it can be found in football's Spark/SparkW rom thread. Remember, this rom might not have the launage pack you want, but you can use it as a path to installing HSPL, and then a custom rom with the language you want!
Dear TheXev, after pluging in the gold card, my device have freezed on Checking mode after Loading.??? And any ROMs - result the same.??? THX.

First rename rom on sdcard, THEN install goldcard bootloader. It seems that if you don't have the file name ready before installing the bootloader, it doesn't work right. I never had this issue, but I'm also sure I put the image on before I installed the goldcard bootloader to the SD card.
Remember, this image may not have your language pack, but you can install a custom rom after doing this.
So long as the GoldCard screen tells you it is checking the image, it should be okay. Flashing with GoldCard can take 20mins to a half-hour.
Even though I have done GoldCard on SparkW (not Spark like you), i named my image with all capital letters. SPARIMG.NBH is what I would try.
Also, maybe RUU_Spark_Vodafone_SPA_1.10.164.01_Radio_5.51.09.2 9_22.32.50.10U_by_ansar (from that ansar thread someone linked you too earlier) would be a better image to try for the downgrade.
