Is there anyway to stop this? I hate it I only listen to music at home where I have a charger if I need it.
I just want to be able to listen to music at lower than only 10%

I dont know whether its just my phone or not but whenever im out and about listening to music (using standard earphones) and i get a call, i know i have to unplug the earphones cause it doesn't have microphone built in but the problem is that as soon as my callz over the music continues loudspeaker style until i put ma earphones back in.. is ther a way to maybe pause it before the call or as soon as i accept the call?
Any help appreciated.. thanks!

BUt they are using ones without mic, i think.
I got one nice thing (appart from some more) with my X10, it's a cord with only a mic on it and the mic has a regular 3.5 headphone jack for use with whatever headphones or spekars that you'd like, also the mic has an answering button. Should be able to find it at retailers.

Woopz shouldav wrote that i found another way.. that was to use meridian as my music app.. lookz ok, works pretty quick, pauses music when callz arrive and theres option to continue after call endz, ability to create playlists, also has a nice music control widget which mediascape lacks and drainz much less than it an all. Id highly recommend it if you use mediascape alot for music!!
Ps - if it helpz.. i tested mediascape once last week, full volume using earphones, no wifi, 3g, bt or gps.. in 1hr it drained 13%, did the same test next day with meridian app and lost 3%.. did that same test during this week except i accidentally had 3g left on and miracally it used up only 1%!
Hope it helpz!!

I use regular headphones with the X10, when I get a phone call while listening to music, it pauses, lets me answer the call, then resumes when I plug the headphones back in.
Could be another carrier specific thing though, since talking on trains/loud music is not allowed here.
Hmm jus outta curiosity (although i stil prefer meridian) do you straight away put your headphones in after call or take your time?
Ps - did extra test on meridian, same scenario except this time it was for just over 8hrz.. lost 40%!

My friend has an epic and when she got the ota yesterday her phone started playing music at random. She'll have the phone on a table and a few min later music will play. Anyone know what that could be? Haha
Oh and she's 100% stock

I had a related bug with music recently.
A couple days ago, whenever i pulled my headphones out of the 3.5mm jack it would start playing music really loud. even if i wasn't listening to music it would open up winamp and play one particular song. the task manager would say the Winamp wasn't open.
I uninstalled Winamp the bug seems to have gone away.
I am on Syndicate Rom Frozen.
Thanks she was using.power amp and she uninstalled and reinstalled and seems to have fixed it

Is there anyway to have the music app automatically pause music or quit music player when the headphones are unplugged?
Could this be done with Tasker or any other app maybe?
Thanks for any help!
My Slacker and Pandora auto pause when unplugging the headphones. Haven't tried with the music player.
I'm not sure if plug-in launcher can handle an action for removing headphones but I know it will start music when they're plugged in.

Thanks guys! I just dl'd tasker and got it figured out with tasker!
Works great now!
Plug in launcher allows you to have the media volume automatically change when you plug or unplug your headphones

I use power amp and that pauses and shuts down the player when you unplug the head phones and starts it back up where it left off when you plug in the head phones

I think power amp is the best media player I've tried.
WinAMP does that as well. It's also nice because I use winamp at home, so when I get home and i have new music on my computer, or my phone, or whatever - my playlists and libraries sync over wifi
Here's another problem I encountered using s4. When using the button on the headphones that came with the phone to switch to next music track I noticed that it only works about 50% of the time and other 50% it recognizes it as play/pause command which is really annoying and makes headphone controls practically useless. Anybody had same problems?

nope yours are probably faulty
But it seems as software problem not hardware because if I only press the button once, music stops and resumes every time.
A try to play 1hr long video but never makes it stops after 30min or more, and playback is unresponsive ..during stock and force rom, any fix? Not to mention theres a bug whenever I connect a pc speaker no audio comes out sometimes and then my phone speakers stops as well when I disconnect it
