have we gotten any new updates for it???
there was only one update that I know of, maybe a month ago? anyway it sucked, had some extra adds or some crap I can't remember, so I went back to the old one, it still works fine.
Does the old one work with CM7?
I'm wondering if there's been any recent updates after the last one?.....

Yes, theres instructions in the aospcm wiki.
sent from my hero, which no longer sucks ass
I know 99% of users have had success with wiki method #2 (install the apk, and use TB to restore data only) but for me that only worked for the 1st time I went to the vvm app. Subsequent attepts and reinstalls I get an error that simply states "cannot play message". I'm not too concerned and haven't really tried to find a solution. But I will try again after I flash the newest ROM update. I'm ashamed to admit I'm currently running AOSPCMod dated Feb 5. What can I say, I've been busy! Runs good though, after applying the GPS tweaks that were solved around Feb 18. But Ive got time now so I'm ready to see if the last month of updates will have me printing money...they did finally get that merged, right?!

I'm in the same boat. I used method two, and I can compose fine, but playing messages is a no go. The only time it worked fully was when the first batch of CM7's came out.
So when I try method 2, it does not give me an option to restore after I install vvm...Pretty new to all this jive so any help would be appreciated
Titanium backup works great

Method # 2 worked for me...
just make sure to follow steps as indicated
Followed the directions on the wiki for method #2. I tested the functionality composing and sending a vvm to myself. Works flawlessly. However, when anyone else leaves a message I can see it but I get the error " Unable to play message."

I don't know. I followed that wiki to the letter, and still get what you're getting. We may be the unlucky few that the voicemail refuses to work.
When on CM6 I flashed vvm apk and had no issues. Granted, going to GB is a big switch but WHY would a similar fix (such as in the AOSP wiki) not work? Can it be explained in a nutshell?
Thank you to anyone that can humor my curiosities.

I haven't use aosp but i try method 2 on RC2 and currently running on Nightlies #17 is working fine with no problems.
might be an issue with the rom ? not sure.

Thanks for that.
See previous post, I get "Unable to play message" notification but have found this to work, although rather cumbersome to get a VM.
It's not clean and obviously not optimal for checking VM.
Open VM app > Menu > Settings > Personalize voicemail > OK > 1
Does this work for anyone else? If so, what can be done to alleviate pushing buttons monotonously?
Don't know. I'll give that a shot once I'm on break.

Just wanted to say that I flashed 17 today, and it finally worked!! Woohoo!!! I love the nightlies; always making my hero better, and better.

Update, 08/30, v1.3
There is a new version of this ROM out for anyone interested, see original link in OP. I did end up trying this briefly before, I will give it another shot this weekend I think.
Maybe some changes can even be merged with XDA Special.
From what I understand the "T Roaming" menu was removed/changed - this is something I asked about when we first started working with WanHu ROM.
Also a message I get all the time about network time not being set has been removed.
And there is mention of the radio volume being fixed.
Not sure what else has changed ....

How about the performance and speed? in comparison with wanhu and cm6 rom? what do you think?
How about telephony from SKT Mobile?
USSD? APN settings in settings.apk?
"included motoblur launcher"
Ported to non-motoblur or just HeLauncher with the MotoBlur-skin?

Don't know of any Wind Canada supported codes to try. Not something we normally use.
Just try to send *100#.
If it will try to call -then ussd not working, if will be "sending ussd" message - than working.
Btw, can you mirror it, cause i can't understand chinese symbols on registration...

Flashable APN List

Hello, I was just wondering if there was a flashable apn list / fix? Some roms don't have the Bell APN's loaded, and having something flashable through recovery would be super easy. For some reason I can't manually configure apn's very well.
If you search the Cherryπ ROM forum, Navalynt at one point posted the entire APN lists.

Don't remember where I found it but here you go.
EDIT: just noticed you asked for Bell, this is AT&T's . Perhaps you can try resetting to default under APNs......

[Q] A question regarding 4.2.2 upgrade and native dialer

I have enabled native dialer by modifying framework-res.apk in my Nexus 7 3G with JB 4.2.1.
Now my question is, will the native dialer stay if i upgrade to 4.2.2? Did anybody try? Pls share. Thanks a lot.
Are you on a custom ROM?
No, I simply downloaded a dialer-enabled framework-res in this forum and replaced the original one.
btw, is there any place to download dialer-enabled 4.2.2 framework? I had trouble doing this myself
thanks in advance!
Can you post up your framework-res? I will make the small edit for you. As I understand it, it is just a bool edit "<bool name="config_voice_capable">false</bool>", where you change false to true.

Hi hlxanthus,
Attached is the framework-res.apk from 4.2.2. Really appreciate if you can help!
Thank you!
Here are some flashable packages, that will work for you within twrp or cwm recoveries. If you would rather you can just crack them open to pull the apk out. One has the one I modded and the other is the original you posted up. Please know that this will ONLY work with the rom you pulled the framework-res from. So if this is a stock apk, then that is all you can use this with.
Please note, that while this should give you access to the dialer, it will not magically enable phone calls on your device (that I know of atleast, let me know if I am wrong LOL). You will still have to use a VoIP service like GrooveIP for example to route said phone calls thru your wifi and 3G radios.
Download - 4.2.2.dialer_enabled.framework-res.tilapia.zip

I clicked the system update button and reboot....
But it didn't update successfully and stopped in the middle of the upgrade.
I was asked to reboot and I am still in 4.2.1.
Any idea why? The whole process took only a minute or so.
Is it because mine was rooted?

Might be. Other modifications have you made? You might need to flash a stock recovery back in place at the very least.

Boost Mobile APN fix - Galaxy S5

I have found several values to change based on what I found in the stock APN settings for Boost Mobile that have allowed me to send SMS over 4g while on boost mobile network.
First make sure you have flashed moped_ryder universal boost apn fix.
At the bottom of your build.prop change the following settings.
ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=310000
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Chameleon
ro.telephony.default_network=10
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1
Notice that on the last line you will only be correcting a typo.
Do not change APN from moped Ryder's fix

I'm guessing this is for using a rom like lineage? Does this change allow mms as well? That's the only reason I'm not on one of them. I need mms.
I am using aokp mm. And yea, MMS is working. I wasn't even trying to fix that issue just happened to notice the different values. It's now working perfectly.

Hmm. I tried those steps on cosmic and I still can't send SMS or MMS. I'll try and see if lineage works. I flashed the APN fix. Made the build prop changes and replaced the config file you posted. I really liked this ROM too. But need SMS and MMS. It's the only thing keeping me on stock.
Nevermind. I can send MMS just not SMS. Now my girlfriend is wondering why I sent a funky image and can't tell her it was a test. Lol!

I am sorry you do not need to change the apns conf file. I have removed it to prevent further confusion. But I am not sure what would be different between cosmic and aokp but I have working SMS/MMS/data/calls.
Cosmic is Android 7 while I have this working on 6. That may be the difference.

Yeah figured it might be due to the android version. I'm going to try these steps on aokp n and see if it works. If not I'll switch to aokp mm.
Update: I can now confirm that thus doesn't seem to work on nougat ROMs. At least it didn't on cosmic or aokp. I'll go with aokp mm. I'm super excited to use any non stock ROM at this point. Thank you for sharing this information.
It's no problem, I was having a different issue with data connectivity being disabled at random with a reboot being the only fix. I'm still having that so I went back to stock.
Im having issues with boost Mobile apn too.. Though i got sms, mms, data working on resurection remix 7.1.2 rom by just flashing the apn fix ..sms wont send if i restart my phone ..it remains on sending unless i make a call n hangup right away...weird... But i cannot get data, sms, or mms to work on cosmic rom, dreamux havint tried lineage...but i was really liking the way cosmic n dreamux rom looked.
I am having issues with Fredompop, since it looks like you have dived into the APN side of things, do you know how to view the stock APN settings in the stock rom? If I update the PRL in the stock rom it works fine. So I am guessing I just need to copy the settings to lineage.
The stock rom grays out the APN settings though so I can't view them.
Any way to view them or back them up?
