Hello, I was just wondering if there was a flashable apn list / fix? Some roms don't have the Bell APN's loaded, and having something flashable through recovery would be super easy. For some reason I can't manually configure apn's very well.
If you search the Cherryπ ROM forum, Navalynt at one point posted the entire APN lists.

Thread needs to be in q&a section.
Don't remember where I found it but here you go.
EDIT: just noticed you asked for Bell, this is AT&T's . Perhaps you can try resetting to default under APNs......

Hello everyone,
Sorry, I was not able to post this in the kernal's thread because I have less than 10 posts. I have a rooted Sprint Hero and I am running Aosp 2.3 3/26/2011 with the stock kernal from . I have been trying to install s0be's 2.6.35 kernal. When I flash I get installation errors. I see in his post that I would need to verify that ipv6 is disabled?
That brings up 2 questions. 1) What are the consequences of doing this and 2) How would I go about it?
I did some searching here and on Google, but nothing really was found specific to Sprint Hero's.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

No you don't need to do that. Make sure you are using the correct zip for your recovery, in recovery wipe cache and dalvik-cache, flash and reboot.
Search the sobe thread. I posted a zip if your using RA1.7 should get you up and running. And like duce posted make sure you wipe

Just installed SlimBean 4.3 and MMS is working flawlessly. Here is the APN file I'm using.
http://db.tt/xXLMqRZr
The Access Point Name I chose in the options was the EHRD. But YMMV, so if that doesn't work, try the other ones.

Helpful post, but I don't know if this should be in the Q&A section of the forum
Yeah, my plan was to put it in General, but I already committed the post and was too late.
You'll hear about it now.
For shame, for shame. :wags finger:
Hey, for those who are still having problems with this rom sending mms and native vvm this is the method i used and got everything working (I mean everything) If this has been solved sorry just trying to help and hope this helps as it did for me
Step 1
First off, for everyone using Dr Ketans S7 edge port if you having issues with sending mms just
make a new apn with this configuration:
Name - LTE-Sprint test (or whatever you want)
APN - n.ispsn
MMSC - http://mms.plspictures.com
Multimedia message proxy - 68.28.31.7
Multimedia message port - 80
MCC - 310
MNC - 120
APN type - default,supl,mms,fota
APN protocol - IPv4
APN roaming protocol - IPv4
Bearer - LTE
everything else leave as is go ahead and save.
Note
(sorry forgot to add this step but i'm sure most of you figured it out) now after u complete step 2 and reboot u must also make sure new APN u added is selected and also go into network mode and change it to LTE/CDMA
Step 2
For those of you having problems using Native Visual Voice Mail start off by deleting vvm.apk if you have one installed then follow the steps below to configure
First off this occurs because the build.prop's of some ported roms shows information from the device
which they are ported from. To correct this, grab a build.prop editor from the play store or use
Root Browser to edit the build.prop. located under system The sections ro.product.model, ro.product.name and
ro.product.device should look like this for the Sprint Note 4 N910P (not the G935V variant) or whatever it is
ro.product.model=SM-N910P
ro.product.name=jfltespr
ro.product.device=jfltespr
then:
ro.build.product=jfltespr
ro.build.description=jfltespr -user 6.0.1MMB29K N910PVRU2APB5
ro.build.PDA=N910PVRU2APB5
ro.build.hidden_ver=N910PVRU2APB5
now save and install vvm.apk in attachments
now restart and give it a few to settle then send yourself a voicemail and it should work as it did for me
Note: I used this method for installing rom:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR-V1ziZhgk&index=4&list=WL
If this helped please hit the thanks button

I did. Rebooted a couple times, no dice.
But.... I just ODIN'd PE5 baseband, and now SMS/MMS works!
-edit- just checked my Baseband version in "About phone"... and it still says OK1. So, for whatever reason, my PE2 odin did not work, and my SMS/MMS situation is resolved anyway.
-- another edit-- while SMS/MMS was fixed, I noticed that my WiFi no longer turned on. So, I went and ODIN'd PE2 again. That made my phone no longer boot.
I suspect I need to ODIN back to OK1 stock and try again. Which I'll do some other time...!
Anybody getting unknown error to many bites when I try to install a Samsung theme
After starting from a fresh OK1 rom, I again followed the directions listed here. MMS/SMS again wouldn't go.
But after re-flashing "HighOnAndroid", messaging is working, as is everything else.

This thread is specified in talking about datafix for Note 7 port ROMs using N910P on Sprint Network (CDMA). There are other threads on datafix, but they are mainly for using N910P on GSM network.
Kudos to @XeoNoX for the datafix files for several Note 4 variants to get data/call/sms/mms working on N7 ported Rom. It's posted in the Norma N7 thread, but should also work on Aurora N7 Rom and X-Rom.
Update:
Here are data/sms fix files for N910P to be able to send sms on Sprint network.
Aurora.N7.Port.v2.1_data/sms fix for Sprint
Aurora.N7.Port.v3_data/sms fix for Sprint
These files are compiled from the files released by Norma team for N910P and Aurora team for N9109 (A Chinese CDMA variant), as well as the file by HighonAndroid. It worked on me, but CoronaDabs reported that it didn't work on him. Feel free to test it at your own risk.
Steps:
1) setup the correct apn before flashing the datafix because somehow the datafix will have apn menu greyed out.
1) flash above datafix file.
2) use Network Mode to set network and get sms working.
If the info in Cellinfo is mRegistered=YES, then you are good.
At first it might be unregistered. Switch preferred network type to CDMA, and see it changes to registered, then switch it back to LTE/CDMA auto (PRL), and it will be registered, then your sms is all set.
4) If you didn't set the correct apn before flashing datafix file, go to /system/csc folder and rename others.xml to others.xml.bak, reboot, then you will have access to add apn. Afterwards, rename others.xml.bak back to others.xml, reboot, you should be all set.
Tested working on Aurora N7 Rom 2.1/3 and Norma N7 v5 with my N910P. Unfortunately, I can't make it work with X-rom, nor with Nemesis Rom.
Here's some info for those Roms:
1) Norma N7 V5 ROM is based on N9100ZCU1DPH1 which is for Chinese Note 4 N9100 variant. This variant does NOT support CDMA natively.
2) Aurora N7 ROM is based on the same N9100ZCU1DPH1 as Norma N7.
2) X-Rom N7 ROM is based on N930FXXU1APG7 for Note 7 N930F (salescode XXV for VIETNAM ), which does NOT support CDMA natively.
If the mother ROM is for N9109 (CHINA TELECOM variant), then it will have better chance supporting CDMA.
There are two other Roms that also have full data/call/sms/mms support after applying only datafix file (no need for sms fix). They are:
1) dr. ketan's M6 (S7 based)
What's working: all except for what's not
What's not: auto-brightness, and over brightness.
2) Noble Rom (Note, S7E based)
Rom works well on my N910p on PH4 firmware with Beastmode kernel v56 and camera fix from X-rom and datafix v4 from LouForgiveNo, and the phone is with Sprint (CDMA).
What's working: sms/mms, dpi 560, camera, video player, gps, xposed.
What's not : (almost has been reported by others before)
1. Do Not Disturb mode settings : Changing time causes FC.
BTW, all my test are done on ph4.

Hey, i was just gonna post some old info i found on android forums for people to try with no text. http://androidforums.com/threads/sms-problems-after-installing-custom-rom.134922/

But as i was writing this, now i see your post and you have a fix, so that's good!

Sorry. I was thinking something new had happened. I had to return my N 7 yesterday. I'm back on my Note 4. I did love the 7, but not enough to take a chance on it setting itself, my house/car, or me on fire. So, I'm really excited by the prospect of a working N7 port to the Note 4. Thanks for all the hard work!

I have found several values to change based on what I found in the stock APN settings for Boost Mobile that have allowed me to send SMS over 4g while on boost mobile network.
First make sure you have flashed moped_ryder universal boost apn fix.
At the bottom of your build.prop change the following settings.
ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=310000
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Chameleon
ro.telephony.default_network=10
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1
Notice that on the last line you will only be correcting a typo.
Do not change APN from moped Ryder's fix

I'm guessing this is for using a rom like lineage? Does this change allow mms as well? That's the only reason I'm not on one of them. I need mms.
I am using aokp mm. And yea, MMS is working. I wasn't even trying to fix that issue just happened to notice the different values. It's now working perfectly.

Hmm. I tried those steps on cosmic and I still can't send SMS or MMS. I'll try and see if lineage works. I flashed the APN fix. Made the build prop changes and replaced the config file you posted. I really liked this ROM too. But need SMS and MMS. It's the only thing keeping me on stock.
Nevermind. I can send MMS just not SMS. Now my girlfriend is wondering why I sent a funky image and can't tell her it was a test. Lol!

I am sorry you do not need to change the apns conf file. I have removed it to prevent further confusion. But I am not sure what would be different between cosmic and aokp but I have working SMS/MMS/data/calls.
Cosmic is Android 7 while I have this working on 6. That may be the difference.

Yeah figured it might be due to the android version. I'm going to try these steps on aokp n and see if it works. If not I'll switch to aokp mm.
Update: I can now confirm that thus doesn't seem to work on nougat ROMs. At least it didn't on cosmic or aokp. I'll go with aokp mm. I'm super excited to use any non stock ROM at this point. Thank you for sharing this information.
It's no problem, I was having a different issue with data connectivity being disabled at random with a reboot being the only fix. I'm still having that so I went back to stock.
Im having issues with boost Mobile apn too.. Though i got sms,mms,data working on resurection remix 7.1.2 rom by just flashing the apn fix ..sms wont send if i restart my phone ..it remains on sending unless i make a call n hangup right away...weird... But i cannot get data, sms, or mms to work on cosmic rom, dreamux havint tried lineage...but i was really liking the way cosmic n dreamux rom looked.
I am having issues with Fredompop, since it looks like you have dived into the APN side of things, do you know how to view the stock APN settings in the stock rom? If I update the PRL in the stock rom it works fine. So I am guessing I just need to copy the settings to lineage.
The stock rom grays out the APN settings though so I can't view them.
Any way to view them or back them up?
