my bell i9000 gt died last night... im pissed...
will probably trade in for a htc... unlock that and leave bell once i get it. they are no help with a issue that is their fault puttin out a phone that kills itself slowly.
i was wondering what steps to take to revert to stock.
i have no lagfix
im on doc jk3 rom
and its rooted
i think my stock version was jg9 i HOPE i can even flash this version...
how do i remove the root though?
anyhelp would be great thanks.
any links to the rom?
no links at all that could help?
I used Kies reg patcher to update to JK4 and am having issues with it. I am in the same boat as you, wondering how to revert back to stock as JG9 was working perfectly fine for me.

i found a jh2 rom...
so i decided to try to get this to work... and hopefully bell wont notice... it is still a stock bell rom i believe.
just can't find out how to flash through odin... and which pit to use... all seem to be failing.
Haha, same here. Been browsing through some youtube guides, but haven't found the answer. My tech knowledge is okay, but some of this is a little over my head. Will let you know if I have any success.

Hello,
Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldnt find anything when I searched.
I am trying to go back to stock on my Vibrant just like when I first got it out the box.
I flashed the unofficial update JI2 and then the JI6 through Odin, but now I want to go back to stock to see if I get the update from Tmobile or just do it through Kies.
In order for me to do this I have to go to stock and I cant find or know to to do it. I seem to be getting this whole Odin thing so if I can do it this way it would be great. Please let me know. Thanks.
I search Development section, but none of those worked for me. Not sure if Im doing something wrong.
I am no expert by any mean just a noobie but I downloaded the files on the link posted in I believe it was the Development section that was the JDF Odin stock rom etc. Look for it posted in there or search it and it will come up. I used Odin and it went smoothly and then I updated to ji6.I believe the link below is what you are looking for.

Here is the link again for some reason it shows up when I save it but when I exit out and come back it is gone

Ok, so I did find this one, but I had no luck!
So did you click on the last one that says All 3 Files?
Or did you click them one by one?
you should try a custom rom before going back to stock!

Either way you want to do it. The 3 files-in-one is a smaller download if that matters to you. But they're all the same...
Also, in the Vibrant Bible, there's a link to Odin1.3 which worked well when I had to go from JI5 (via Kies) back to JFD for the Kies Mini update to JI6. Just fyi, I'm running Win7 Pro 64-bit, not sure what your setup is like.
When you say you had no luck, did you mean you couldn't get into download mode or Odin didn't work for you? For Odin to work you have to make sure the ID:COM in the upper left is populated with a number. Otherwise Odin is essentially saying that it doesn't see your phone, most likely due to driver issues.
Thanks for the help! I finally got it to work!

Why would you want the OTA if you already flashed it? Now you may run the risk of soft bricking after accepting the update... Maybe it's just past me at this early hour, but can't figure out why you wanna do this.
posting to save this thread to refer back to later
The reason I wanted to try Kies OTA is because of the missing Market apps and also because I was having lag problems with the flashed version.
Actually everything went smooth after I figured out how to do it.
Unfortunately there are still missing apps, But my phone runs alot smoother.

Just received a replecement SGS from Bell (old one had sd issues).
They sent me a 10.11 unit (yuck?)
I played with the original unit quite a bit trying to revive it, no luck. I need to know what was the froyo version (The one i downloaded through kies on the official release of froyo for bell customers) that messed it up. Was it UGJK3 or JK4?
I have a copy of JK3 but have seen some thread refering to the JK4 that did the phones in. I am confused , I cant seem to find JK4 anywhere.
I just want to reflash the phone to the guilty firmware before I return it.
Thanks in advance
Jk4 was the version pulled back from bell. Jk3 is generally considered safe. Although, keep I mind that a new jl2 version is out and available via kies (2.2).
Edit: sorry, I misread. If you want to flash the problematic version on the phone you're going to return, you want jk4. I'm returning my phone for the same reason with jl2.
can you provide a link to jk4? I cant seem to find it anywhere.

samfirmware.com never appeared to host jk4 (with good reason, it was pulled due to high fault rate).
This thread appears to link to downloadable files however I've never tried them myself. I guess you're not worried about toasting your phone though

This is probably a stupid question and i am not going to hear the end of it so here it goes, How can i find out what my original FW that came with my tab was? I have flashed a few ROMs to try and get Voice on my T-Mobile tab and i am currently running Roto's JME v4. Of course i never did a back up of my original FW since it was in the early stages and there was no way to do it until Roto came up with his Rotobackup. The reason is that i wanted to have it just in case even though that might be too late now. I do have a Stock T-mobile.zip to be flashed with Odin that Roto was able to put together but of course that does not work for me since i have a locked bootloader.
In short is there any way for me to find my original FW? or wait to see if Rotohammer can unlock the bootloader or am i basically SOL and just pray and hope my tab does not crash on me and just stick to one good known ROM (currently Roto's JME v4)
I think there's a thread on a bounty for anyone who unlocks a bootloader. So flashing with Odin or Heimdall won't work in that situation?

That's where i got the file from, but i can not flash it, supposedly i have a locked bootloader, so right now im SOL until someone can work around that, i can flash other FW from Roto. Another thing i can't flash is CF-Root same issue i get a fail message it goes back to me having a locked bootloader.

Just chill man! The signed bootloader fix works for me and several other folks, it will be released early next week.
There is absolutely nothing you can do at this time. Starting new threads wont help either.

As always thank you, i was just reading something about that but it keeps re-directing people to different threads and its a bit confusing. I guess im just a bit impatient, cant wait for the release and finally be able to go back to stock if i ever need it and then change back to a different room.
Please advise which thread to look for the release once it comes out.

Yeah dude, EC05 is what you're going to be after. Get that, use Odin, take it back in and you're good to go.
EDIT: This should help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052813
thanx... this forum is getting a little diluted.
The wiki should tell me what rom to flash to for sprint returns... The need it highlighted in red "use this rom to return phone". Documentation is always a weak trait in developers...
The DL18 links still need fixed if anyone wants them... maybe not...
The DG27 works and you'll get the OTA to EC05 instantly.
has anyone been able to root their phones after the new update just pushed by verizon..When they pushed it, it bricked my phone so I used the "guide" to put it back to ed05... then allowed it to update, and then used the "Guide" to root again it it bricked it again.... so going back to ed05, let it update again, but now want to root again but the question is how????
Thanks guys and gals...

odin eh03 gb then root it. no need for ed05 or ota update...follow section 4 then section 5 of my guide.
is there anything good about the update??? what was new with it??? minus messing up rooting??
Stock eh03 gingerbread is alot faster than stock ed05 Froyo imo...cant comment on anything else because I have not ran stock eh03 longer than 20min, that was just to see If I could flash cm7 from it.
ok thank you
I used odin to root my phone after verizons update.
Just Odin the stock EH03 package and then flash SuperClean v3.05 in cwm and you'll have all the rooted, deodexed, debinged and debloated Gingerbread glory that you can stand! It has caused me to fall in love with my Fascinate all over again!
Can someone please tell me where to download the ROM's other than Multiupload.
Download time there for me says it is over 3 hours.
Looks like I got the OTA during the night and my Fascinate is stuck in recovery now.
Since I am hosed anyway I want to finally make the jump and start flashing some ROM's.
If I can ever get a download link that works
Thanks,

Look in the development section. Here is a link to Superclean to get you started.
Also multi upload is just a list of links where to download.

I did the EH03 flash in ODIN and the phone works again but now it wont connect to usb to use odin again to root. I have tried numerous factory cables and pcs but nothing works. surely someone else has had this problem? is there another way to root it?
