I have a Touch2 and a few days ago the touchscreen stopped working.
Now I can't sype anything. I can't run any applications. I can't do anything, in fact. If I touch the screen, nothing happens.
The problem si that I don;t have a backup on my phone so... I should do one before taking it in service.
I tryed to install MyMobiler to control it over PC but... surprise: I can;t install it on my phone because I can't press "Accept" .
What can I do in this case? Is there any sollution to this problem? Is there any other application that installs without asking me anything?

hard reset and all this stuff. then try to removed your clear LCD screen protector, did another soft reset
Newton's Ring.
Try search Newton's Ring on forums...you will find usefull information about touchscreens....I had once a problem with my touchscreen and had it replaced. I don't have the time to post links for you about Newton's ring...so try search it...what I know is that not only the Mega has this problem.. Good luck!
Try mymobiler http://mymobiler.com/?cat=4 it's installed via active sync so you can control your phone via pc at least you can backup with dotfread pimbackup.

Did you try a soft-reset?
did you try a hard reset?
When did it stop responding? after fall? after upgrade? after dropping it in the loo ?
do the buttons work?

As M4io said, it's difficult to say, did you uninstall any unofficial software such as BT Patch, etc? if so, only hard reset will do

it due to Calligrapher 7.4
For me, to solve this problem by uninstall that software from activesync.
in my case ,touch screen doesn't work but hardware button still work.
you may try to uninstall the last software that may cause this problem via activesync.
I do soft-reset & hard-reset still not work. It stop when I get up morning. Last night no problem. When do hard-reset touch screen not response..but screen still work. All Button is Ok. I can't calibrate the screen when do hard reset.
Did you chack you Ext. ROM and \Windows\startup ?
about "TPdisable.exe"
you can try remove it from Ext.ROM and do hard reset again.

Have you got a screen protector fitted to the screen, this will sometimes stop screen taps registering if the edges are under the edge of the screen.
Hi I'm using HTC P3450 (Elf01000).. Everything was fine till yesterday.
Now i have the Cube working for me but the screen doesn't respond to stylus. I'm able to activate and deavtivate cube... thats it. Nothing else works...

Have you tried a soft reset?
Have you tried realigning the screen?
What have you done to your device recently? Flashed any new Roms?, Installed any apps? Played with registry? If anyone is going to be able to help you, you have to give us some information. What ROM are you using?

I had tried aligning the screen and it got stuck there.
After a bit of googling, I was able to get past the align screen using Remote screen align, but my screen stopped responding to screen taps. Strangely I don't have any problem activating and rotating the cube.
I'm using the original Rom..

You didn't answer all of the questions from my last post. If you hadn't done anything to your device and all it did was suddenly stop responding, perhaps your screen is faulty now and needs replacing. I don't know what else it would be personally, but feel that I may not have enough experience to be able to help you further.
Hello guys and gals. I messed up the phone again, but this time hard reset is not an option so I need a way to fix it. I installed the activesync killer (I believe that app caused my problems) from here:

At first i thought it worked fine, but then every time i disconnected my phone from the PC the phone froze. I uninstalled it, but the problem was still there.
Today it got even worse. I cannot connect to my PC neither via activesync nor using the x1 as a flash drive. !!!!!!
Has anyone of you encountered such a problem and is there a way to fix this without hard resetting the device. Maybe a way to reinstall the async on the Xperia?

That is a restart of the phone. A soft-reset. I do it 10 times a day .

Ok, i got some development with it. I reinstalled wktask and the freezing is gone. Now the only problem left is that i cannot connect neither with the activesync (the phones says connecting forever), nor with the microSD (the PC says invalid location drive:I). I'm pretty sure i messed up some drivers. Is there a way to reinstall the connectivity drivers?
(Sorry for my bad english) Hello, i have a big problem with my Ioite, problem starts a 3 days ago.When i press top button for turn off display, phone automaticly shutdown,but these shutdowns hasn't schedule. Sometimes it doesn't shutdown for a 5 hours, but sometimes it shutdown 5min after power on. I solve this problem that way so i must open case and take out battery. But this is not solution I don't want make hard reset my phone. Problem start when i installed some apps - like SRS WOW (for better volume) and SPB Traveler, I remove SPB Traveler, but phone still shutdown randomly and automaticlly. If you remember the programs that you installed before the problem begins, maybe(if it isn't a hardware problem) you can solve it. Probably one of them put some values or keys in registry that don't erased when you uninstall the program. So you can open the cab of these programs with a cab manager on pc(e.g wince cab manager) and see what registry entries they have. After with a registry editor delete or change these values and see if your problem solved. Hope this helps you to find a fix.

When the phone is closed or blocked and no longer respond to any command, the only method of booting is to reset it? I also had a similar problem ... random phone stall and not respond to any command, the only method of starting the reset or battery removal
Same issue I found it today on my HTC touch cruise 09. But on my device I haven't installed any new apps in the last month. Any other ideas? What could be wrong in this case? I have to mention that the device is working with original software, no changes done in this way. Any help would be great. Thanks.
I had the same problem a time ago, but with another device (HP) and also, it began when i installed the SPB Traveler ... I uninstalled it but the problem didnt disappear ... I had to make a hard reset ...
Now, I have install it again in my Iolite (I think that it is no a problem of this application) and all works fine ... i hope all follow equal forever ...

I do have HTC Touch with Windows OS 6.1. My Touch screen is not behaving perfectly. It is getting disabled and not allowing to do any thing there. Some time it starts working but touch event is not performing action at right location. Please let me know how to resolve it. Because of this it is not Syncing with My Laptop. Also let me know how can i backup my SMS and Phone book from my cell and restore then after.
You can use My Mobiler to control your device from laptop but only if ActiveSync is connected. If not, backup to your SdCard with Pim Backup, then try a hard reset to see if you have a better touch response. It's also possible your digitizer is faulty and has to be replaced.
It should most probably be a digitizer problem. I have changed them myself twice.

actually the lower half of the screen worked well, anything upper was made its action on the bottom area, so it was hard to tap on anything but i could navigate to the calibration menu somehow - i thought that would make it work, coz i knwe at first that it must be a software problem besides a hardware thing.. so the calibration didnt worked ive made a hard reset and everything is working just like before.
