You should be able to toggle your keyboard by touching the icon on the left side.
You can also try to disable the auto popup
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip:
TurnOffAutoDeploy from 0 to 1
hide keyboard
at the bottom you have a small icon by touch this the keyboard hide/show
Disable keyboard ; select one that shows nothing d

Sure!
I am using NULLkeyboard
This driver installs as a selectable virtual keyboard and it's useful to avoid keyboard popup when you don't want to input data (file display, gaming etc.) or when you are using an external keyboard.
Note: I have some color issues after I used this 'keyboard', therefore I'm switching back to my preferred (FingerKeyboard2) keyboard and then Reset the phone to solve this.
Hope this helps,

Is there any way to disable the pop-up keyboard? I have no need for it, I have a keyboard on my exec
Install phm tools and use the external keyboard SIP.

You could follow vijay's suggestion, but you should also find that in normal use (i.e. if you're using the hardware keyboard) the SIP input thing never appears unless you tap its icon on the screen.
The system is smart: if the SIP keyboard appears when your cursor enters a text input field then just ignore it and use the hardware keyboard. (Don't tap the screen to clear the SIP!) Once you've started using the hardware KB the SIP KB won't appear again until you tap the SIP icon to raise it.
If you tap the SIP icon to hide the SIP before you start typing on the hardware KB, the SIP will still appear next time you enter a text field.
The SIP on my Exec hasn't appeared on screen in days. This behaviour is perfect IMHO, so well done Microsoft!
One of the most annoying things about the Wizard is that the OS doesn't know that I have a sliding keyboard, so if I open pocketIE with the keyboard open, it opens the virtual keyboard too. Is there anyway to have the virtual keyboard disabled when in landscape mode?
the OS knows... the programs don't. Coders themselves have to detect whether 1. the device supports an external keyboard and 2. if it does, whether it is active or not - and suppress the SIP if it is.
Can't say I know of anything that would make landscape-mode automatic, but you could download NullKB and change to that SIP to 'disable' the SIP. It would apply to portrait mode as well, though.
mine learns after a while, where you just hide the sip, it won't pop open automatically anymore
google nullkb
I have nullkb but it doesn't seem to work for me. I select it and it just stays in the current sip. Never switches. Help...
On my HD2 phone I have installed Resco Keyboard (also there was another program but I have uninstalled it) and I don't see (or know) the options menu that it is said to be when you tap the triangle next to the input method indicator. I don't see any Option in the menu to configure the selected text input options ?
Where it is ?
Never mind found it in Settings menus...
So you replaced the default, powerful, HTC onscreen keyboard with a rip-off of the crappy iPhone onscreen keyboard?
The iFanBoyism will never cease to amaze me...
No, I don't like this either, now I just try all the keyboards I can find, until now Finger Keyboard is my preferred
I am trying a couple of ROMs based on windows mobile 6.5.3 and 6.5.5
I noticed that the input selector arrow is missing (keyboard > right side).
So how to make the selection between different input methods? I can't find any manuals online.
Sometimes the options which were available in earlier version (Text Input Settigns, Phone Keypad, Compact Qwerty, About) do appear if I tap twice (quick tapping) sometimes they do not...I am puzzled.
Please can someone point me to the right usage of the new keyboard icon (bottom centre)?
Thanks
Saulo
I noticed that If I tap and hold then a new window appear : "Touch Input"... but this does not solve my puzzle: how to make the keyboard appears and then disappears? (just clisk for 1/3 of seconds) How to make the option appear? it seems too random...
I found my solution: the latest Xanny ROM!
Yes this ROM does provide a new WM 6.5.3 optimized keyboard icon: if I press for less than 1/3 of sec the keyboard layout is toggled (on and off). It is fine.
If I press for 1/2 sec, then the menu of options appear. Xanny improvements is here: there is a button on the bottom line (CLOSE) which is NOT present in all other wm6.5.3 ROMs that I have tested...This CLOSE Button does effectively provide a way to revert to the Keyboard layout.
Anyway, any other feedbacks?
Thanks
Saulo
no guys, it is like with wm6.5 but the arrow to choose keyboard is not visible.
What i want to say is that if you click lower right part of the icon it will show the keyboard selector and the rest of it will hide/show keyb.
regards
The input selector arrow is not a part of 6.5.x UI, it has never been. It was replaced by longpress on SIP button. Of course when longpress is already used (by Sense), this is an issue... But it is not a bug of 6.5.x
Thanks Tryde.
Is there a way to completely disable SENSE, so we can avoid conflicts on the icon selector?
Another questions (a bit off topic): if not possible to disable SENSE, at least can we disable HTC Messaging? I wish to use the keyboard with old fashion Microsoft TXT and SMS messaging.
thanks
Saulo

I may be wrong (not using 6.5.x at the moment), but if you use a third party keyboard (finger keyboard for example), it should disable this popup. Have you tried ?
Possible solution
I have found another possible solution. If you disable the change of SIP, the menu will not appear and there is no troubles with hiding the keyboard.
I disabled SIP menu in registry by changing HKLM\Software\HTC\ezsip\EnableSipMenu to 0.
Little disadvantage is that now you can't change your keyboard. (But if you are using still the one like me, there is no problem.)
Let me now, if it helps you.
I use two keyboards. Grammarly for writing English and Microsoft swiftkey keyboard for Urdu. In other phones, Samsung Infinix, etc. the current keyboard shortcut is below the keyboard. But I didn't find the shortcut current keyboard change in Poco m3.
How do I solve the current keyboard shortcut problem in Poco m3?
To choose the current keyboard, you can pull down from the top (status bar) to see the notifications, when you start typing, and there is one notification that you can tap to choose the input method.
If you do not see this notification, you need to enable the keyboard in the system settings, go to settings, more settings, language and input method, mange input methods, at there you can enable the other keyboards you installed.
