Is there any app which will help me to boot from one android to another without going to windows?
I have MCCM and Froyo. I want to know if i can boot to Froyo from MCCM without going to windows.
Thanks for your time.
Nope, not at the moment. Since android runs off the SDCard and windows resides on the flashable NAND memory windows always loads before it's shut off by Haret. When the DFT team releases the Magldr, then you might be able to do what you're asking for. Hope that answers your question.

Thank you my friend.
Hi guys
I have the MDJ FroYo HD v.4.4 build on my HD2, a friend recommended i tried MiUi so i put it on to my sd card booted it up then went back to MDJ's build and received an error when i turn on WiFi and excessive battery drain, far more than normal! since deleting MiUi folder from sd card battery seems to have got better but still error on WiFi. is it even possible to have two types of android on your sd card? Or am i just unlucky?
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks for your time

I have 3 different android builds on my SD card without any problems, so I'm not sure what's wrong with yours.

MIUI builds create another Android folder beside it's original file, that may have conflicted with your MDJ's

Almost all android builds create other files on SD card. Normally they shouldn't conflict with each other but its possible your miui overwrote or corrupted something in your dhd build. Also possible for there to be little bits of programming still lingering around.

Hi brain's
i 've a problem with booting FroyoStone with HTC Sense V2 - Release Date: 02.Sep.2010 on my HD2.... actually i don't have any problem with first time booting...problem with second time booting, the coding is running for a day...still android is not booting
what is the mistake am doing...??
plz help me out from this issue.....
Did you just say the whole day?....I hope that's not literal!
But anyway if you downloaded your FroyoStone from the dev's site you should have an answer for this...but am guessing you didn't?
While here it is....first back up you SD card and then do a full FAT32 format in windows. Then replace the original android folder...meaning the one from the zip. Not you old one.
See if that works.

So I flashed my HD2 to Windows Phone 7 and everything works fine there. However, I tried to Dual Boot and partition my SD card to run Android from SD. I've tried 2 different ROMS and i keep encountering the same problem. When I try to boot into ANDROID it makes it all the way to the UNLOCK SCREEN and then the touch screen becomes unresponsive and says NO SERVICE.
I posted this here because my NAND is WP7. Just wanted to see if anyone could help me out. And by the way my Radio is 2.15.50 I believe because thats what I installed to run WP7 from NAND.
Anything will help!

Are you using android builds that are compatible with magldr? If not, most builds need to have their init.rc files edited to work properly with magldr. There's a thread in the sd android dev section about it, also I have many builds that I edited to work with magldr. What builds are you trying? And are they edited to work with magldr?
Ahhh that might be it. I've tried MDJ's Desire HD v4.6 build and the Desire Z NAND/SD Build thats currently up on the android forums.

If you have trouble editing builds, give me a pm and I can share my working builds with you.

hi im trying to get typhoon 2.6.3 to work, but unresponsive touch screen occurs. anything to be done about it?
I love the wonderfulness (as in the roms meant for the SD are way better than those for NAND, as I've observed) of the SD builds. But I want them in my phone as NAND, not on SD. SD versions always freezes on my phone, and are very slow compared to those on NAND. So... Is there any way for me to port them to NAND? I do have a little bit of experience cooking my own ROMS... And tweaking them to my liking...
Don't know if its possible, but I was having a few lags in my SD builds and I found that my problem was the SD card.. the performance of the SD should be the same as in nand, the only difference is that you should have a better battery life in nand.. you can test your SD card with a program called crystalmark , you need a card with good random read and write..

Hmm... Problem is... I kinda don't have the luxury of buying a faster SD card... Need all the money I can to fund my videography/photography hobby... But I do have the time to port the ROMs to NAND if I have the method...
Try packing the rom files into a CWM file instead of current file format, install it, flash a NAND kernel, like TyTungs then see what happens

Wasn't a joke, but if others say that this won't work they might be right.
Been always using roms from other but from the little I've seen so far it didn't seem wrong else I wouldn't have posted it

I don't know if this method will work for you or make your device unbootable (Use at your own risk)
First, Turn off your phone and then mount your sd card from your phone to a card reader connected to your PC.
Then go the Android folder in your sd card memory and back it up to your computer (to revert back to it if things went wrong)
Finally, replace the files called (zImage, initrd.gz) In the Android folder in your sdcard with same files names and types from any other Gingerbread SD build (my suggestion is that you try first with AmeriCanAndroid AOSP gingerbread build by downloading the whole build and get those files from it and use it on your build that you want to use on your phone).
Place the sdcard back to your phone and turn it on, and hopefully this method will fix your problem...
This method might work in theory but because the build and the kernel are not optimized for each other, Some functions will not work as they were used to be (Bluetooth, Wifi, Network signal, etc...) or Android go into boot loop or even not boot at all! so if you don't know how to do this or don't know how to revert back to your original build/kernel after a failed boot, then please don't risk it!.
Hey yugoport, can you now try the kernel from isaiah build in nexus hd2 and post the results?

_SD.Magldr__isaiah12345_v3.1_160 build is nice, everything is HD/zoomed out, would look nice on a tablet, hd2's screen just about makes it usuable, any smaller screen on the hd2 i would stick to _240 builds, i like fitting more things on one screen, i dislike the scrolling about crap all the time, if anyone loves scrolling and tabs all the time then get a iphone, WP7, blackberry or symbian that everything done is a screen/page change whilst blocking out the status/notifications bar, i prefer old versions of WM aka WM2003se all the way up to 6.5

hello guys
at first sorry if my english isnt so good, im from germany
i need an android nand build for my hd2, which i install with my sd card. but after the installation it must works without problems with a other sd card. app2sd and the thing with the ext partition is without matter, because it is a gift for my girlfriend and she will put her own sd card in it. so it must be a simple build which has no bugs which is the best?
thanks.
if it is going to a girl you can try any miui build. they are eyecandy and small in size.
can you suggest me one ? because i didnt understand what u mean with miui build.

miui builds have a user interface similar to i-phone but better than it of course
thank you very much
so when i install a miui rom, its not a problem when it runs without a sd card or with an another ? i had many nand roms and there were problems when i took off the sd card very often...
In settings-storage there is a choice to remove sd card securely. Check it before removing sd.
