Symantec endpoint popups and Vibrant hooked up? - Vibrant General

Im using symantec endpoint protection and unfortunately everytime I have my Vibrant plugged into the usb, i get an error that it couldnt scan the drive. Always 4 of these pop up back to back, and happens about every hour or so.
Currently im running Axura with the superuser on so it has debugging mode setup but prior to that I tried the mass storage and Kies modes and same thing.
Any idea what causes this or stops it?

Froyo 2.2: Preparing phone storage, checking for errors

Now on 2.2 I notice that the phone gets stuck on this notification message when restarting "Preparing phone storage, checking for errors" (I have seen it on a normal sync as well)
The only way I can get rid of it is by connecting the USB cable and select drive or do a sync. It looks like it gets hung on the process as the message headers roll up when the cable is connected
I feel that people who never sync by USB cable to Outlook as I do may not see this but I could be wrong...by the lack of search results on this issue I came to that..
Anyone else on 2.2 seeing this issue??? and again I think it comes from a physical sync vs over the air. No issue with this on 2.1

Having a strange problem with usb to computer

My vibrant acts like its not connected to any computer I plug it into
I've tried two different cords and two different computers. One of them being a mac and the other being a PC
I've tried every usb port on both. It's strange.
I'm on Bionix 1.6. Should I restore back to stock and then reflash and see what happens?
Has anyone had this happen to them?
I seen somewhere that you need samsung drivers but I don't have a link for you. Personally I did the tedious task of sticking my sd in an usb adapter but I switched to wireless transfer after a week of that. Android phone drivers in general didn't load for me on Win7 64bit.

You got the Drivers installed right? soft reset your phone ? If that does not work, back up hard reset and check again. If still not working I say return it..

Yeah I have the drivers
Did the soft and hard reset
Can't return it since I got it off of a guy on somethingawful
It's whatever though i got a good deal on it and it still works great. I'll figure it out some day
I'm running windows 7 Ultimate and it works just fine, but whenever I use a different computer or a Mac I get the same problem. I tried almost everthing.
Are you running JI5/JI6 ? I have the same problem with these builds. I remember someone else had the same problem as well, could be a bug. What happens when you go into USB settings of phone and select/deselect mass storage option?
This is going to sound really really really weird but I fixed it somehow
I put the disable lagfix into the voodoo folder and rebooted my phone and plugged it into my brothers ps3 and then suddendly I could mount my phone to my computer again.
Even stranger I deleted the disable lagfix file and rebooted my phone and let it do its thing and now my USB is completely working again.
Anyone have any ideas about this? I've done the disable thing before when I was trying to fix it but never plugged it into the ps3
I'm glad I was messing with my phone when the battery was at 20 percent!

Phone takes forever to mount

Ever since I installed froyo, I have noticed that when I plug my phone in via a usb cable, it appears instantly in the windows 7 device list, but takes at least 2 minutes to appear as a actual drive, sometimes never appearing at all.
The phone also instantly recognises that it is connected and the same thing happens on my work computer as well.
Has/is anyone having similar issues to this?
EDIT: Have tried with usb debugging turned on and off, also uninstalled htc sync in case that was interfering but didn't help.
Do you have a lots of apps on the SD? If so, mounting it on the PC requiers to unmount all these apps from the system.

Quite a few, that might be it then. Didn't realise the phone had to do that. Thanks
That'll be the reason. It's a pain, if you use an a2ext solution it will be faster

[Q] Phone resets on USB Connect

Ok so i have CM7 RC1, and everytime i plug in the usb and try to connect it, like to put music on it and transfer files. It restarts my phone and boots up again. it never ever connects.
Does anybody have a similar problem? or does anybody know a possible solution?
thanks
Is it only when you tell it to connect to pc, or whenever you plug it in to usb?

Only when i connect it to PC, it shows the USB connected screen and has the button that says "Turn on USB Storage" when i click that button it starts loading then reboots
I would start by doing a full wipe and reflash. I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue before.
Actually, a miracle happened today. It just started working now. lol. it didnt work earlier but Thanks anyway. but i have another question. everytime i download a file on the normal android browser it comes up unsuccessful constantly. I download stuff multiple times just to make it go through.
Whats up with that?
It says its downloading, gets to 100% and then says Download unsuccessful.
Is your sd card almost full?
Wow im dumb lol, thanks i didnt even think about that. thanks man appreciate the help.
anytime. Thats what we're here for.

G2x Data Connection Only Works While Tethering!??

Problem:
1) Bill (TMobile) is past due. for about 3 weeks ive been using wifi only in my house to stay connected, working just fine.
2) for about 3 months, ive been USB tethering to my desktop since it doesnt have a wireless card. now it takes my home wifi signal to the phone, thru usb, to the computer. all drivers are full up-to-date.
3) two nights ago i installed the new 2.3 Gingerbread update from LG's site, went without a hitch.
4) ever since then, my data has been freezing at downloads, browser instantly jumps to page not available, "Data Error, Retry" popup, only when im NOT tethering though. normally id blame the update, but there are plentyyyy of people without this problem.
5) yes, you heard right. when my phone is plugged in usb, it wont connect, but when i enable usb tether, the data to the phone works. its almost as if its my COMPUTER giving signal to the PHONE. this is ridiculous. when i unplug, the data continues to work for about 1 minute, then nothing.
im completely stock 2.3 with not a single new app downloaded. so i factory reset and wiped everything, loaded back in as if it was out-of-the-box, same results.
ive tried switching my WiFi off policy to never go to data (shouldnt matter, i did this for weeks without changing that, so i set it back to the standard option) i also know in 2.3 if your screen goes off it switches to data, so i set my screen to stay awake while plugged in.
needless to say... HELP.
