if you are referring to "wiping battery stats" it can be done via custom recovery. both amon_ra & clockwork have the ability.
In amon ra....
boot into recovery, select "wipe," select battery stats or something similar, hit power button to confirm, smile happily that it's happening

When I create a backup and try to restore it I get the error that the md5 sum is incorrect our doesn't match. What causes this?

I have had a couple Nadroids corrupted from this. I noticed it was only happening when i Initiate the backup through Rom manager. I reflashed recovery real quick in Rom manager, now all I do is manually boot whenever do ANYTHING in CW. I have not had an issue since.
So go into recovery and not in the actual app to make the backup?

Exactly... I gave up on ROM Manager. I only have to Re-Flash CW if needs. Whether I am flashing, wiping caches, or backing up I use CW manually. I have not had anymore issues with corruption or boot loops. Plus since the Optical trackpad works in CW it makes it easy. LOL
I (From Phone Off Or Course) Hold VOL DWN and POWER, HBOOT loads, Hit Recovery and I am in CW. After that you have full control to do anything you want. BTW... If you didn't know the Wipe for Battery Stats for the Conditioning and the Dalvik Cache are under Advanced.. Took me awhile to find them.
I had this issue, but I just re flashed from within clockwork, then it worked fine...just had an issue with the recovery that was on there not completing installations or backups

Ok great. Thanks!i did that and the backup its good to go.

Is anyone else not able to get into recovery? I can't access stock or clockworkmod recovery.
When I try to do a factory reset through the phone phone boots into bootloader with an error message.
As always thanks for looking.

How do I get the D2 recovery for my DX. Sorry for the noob type?
So no stock recovery either?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA Premium App
you need to get an sbf file of 2.2.1 and then use rsd lite to flash it to your phone... then you can use clockwork to get back.
I understand that. I'm trying to wipe data to clear up the constant sync error except I have no way of wiping data. Make sense?

Recovery Access in GB
Besides using a reboot into rocovery app, you can also shut down the phone, then pull the battery, put the battery back in and the normal Vol Down + Power will get you into Clockwork Recovery. Seems like GB is in some kind of stand by mode even when you power it down.
So I rooted and switched ROM's many times on my MT3g, and now that i'm trying it on my MT4g, I'm having hella trouble.
So I got to S=off and its perarooted now, with ClockworkMod Recovery image: 3.0.2.4. I tried to update the Kernel to KB-Kernel-2.4.8-108-CFS-SV... put my phone with the stock ROM into a boot loop, so i restored it. Tried to update the Kernel then immediately install CM-7.0.0... again put it into a boot loop, and had to restore. What am i missing here? Should be partitioning like with my MT3g? Should i be wiping? Is there something else I should be installing?

That's your problem. You can't flash a kernel before the ROM, because the ROM's standard kernel immediately overwrites it. Try wiping all 3 items in the recovery menu, flash CM7, and then let it boot. Once CM7 is stable, try flashing your kernel. Just make sure it is compatible.
Sweet, thanks. Hopefully it works.

It will work.
1. Flash Rom
2. Wait 5 mins so everything loads
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Wipe cache then in advanced...wipe davlik cache
5. Select zip from sd card and flash new kernel
Follow this and you will be good to go everytime! Happy flashing!

Wipe factory data
Wipe catche
Then go into advanced wipe dalvik
Should take 30 secs max to wipe, 5 mins max to install and reboot
Then flash your Rom and reboot. Once its rebooted then try flashing the kernel. There is no reason that won't work assuming you do have s-off

If what Mark said doesn't work, I'd look to a corrupt recovery image, or more likely a bad download or SD card.
Aww... I'd be hella sad if I had a bad sdcard. My problem was that I wasn't wiping the correct things, but now thanks to you great people I finally can flash again! Thanks!
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Glad you got it working. If Mark or I have helped you, maybe you could hit the thanks button.
Make sure when you do a kernel you wipe cache and than davlvik and than flash the first time kernel and than repeat the process and than flash your desired kernel.

Hey, I recently rooted my phone, had superuser permissions, and was able to to see the cwm recovery menu. However, whenever I select something from the menu, the screen only shows the CWM logo and thats it. I have to do a battery pull every time. Why does it do this?
My S=Off and I am running cwm 5.0.2.0. I'm confused on how to fix this.

What is your wiping and flashing process? Did you wipe everything but sd card? Are you using Amon Ra recovery?
Sent from my lair.
I am doing the normal wipe, cache, davlik I am using amon ra
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
Maybe repatition your card. What is rls 5.5? Is that a sense 1.0, or 3.x, or one if their AOSP ROMs? The more info the better. You partition to ext3 or ext4?
Help people help you.

You might not have mentioned it, or you did not know, but you should wipe data, system, android secure, boot, and ext as well. My phone also got stuck, on I think Synergy, because I did not wipe the ext partition and stuck again on Savaged Zen because I did not wipe boot. It is a good practice to always wipe everthing, except you SD card, before you flash a ROM.
Yes I wiped everything that in order and i did partition my sdcard here is the link http://forums.team-nocturnal.com/showthread.php/22-Shooter-for-the-EVO-4G-Sense-3-0-2-28-2012
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
since you partitioned your sd and flashing shooter rls 5.5 your evo will flash the spash screen 3x then load up the bootanimation. the process usually take 2-3 minutes. great choice of rom, just a heads up this rom has the sound quality no other rom has. so test the volume first dont wanna blow your speaker. i like to call rls5.5 the wifes most hated rom due to all the volume tweeks gw implimented into the rom. she hates it when i play game while using that rom, she always think i have my evo on full blast but it set to level 1 lol.
So it is normal for it to boot loop at first?

Yes. Usually 3 times from what I've read.
