I ODIN'd back to DI18
Went into google maps and got GPS lock
ODIN'd DK28 modem and booted up
Installed Clockworkmod
Flashed DK28 ROM
GPS works great

I went from quantum 1.7 back to stock DI18 via Odin, used Odin to flash Modem and pit files, then rooted and clockworked, flashed ACS deodexed
DK28, got everything back, including GPS. Mine was broken once I upated to froyo when leaks first started dropping.

If you follow what I posted step by step, the root is applied when you do the DK28 ROM

So how do I odin to dl18 after I m already on froyo
Ps I am noob.

Ill have to reload and tr that when I get home. But after every release doing the same, this is going to be a NIGHTMARE for sprint if the offical OTA does this when its eventually released. :/

That worked for me, as well.
A rooted DI18 stock ROM was giving me trouble with the update.zip method due to the old joeykrim one-click used to root it. So I went with the Odin3 method.
Just to clarify:
I used the Odin3 method (the alternate method) to go from a rooted, stock DI18 to the new DK28 OTA update leaked ROM.
I enabled GPS and opened Google Maps, but "My Location" failed; no GPS.
I used the same Odin3 method plus this PIT file to go back to DI18. As explained here and here.
I tried "My Location" again; GPS worked!
I then repeated step 1 to go back to DK28. I tried GPS and it worked. Success!
For what it's worth, I then successfully applied the one-click root v2.50 (enable USB-debugging, plug in the phone, extract the files to a folder, then run the "run" file).
EDIT: Another thing I wanted to mention: ensure the Samsung USB drivers are properly installed and working. Test them by plugging in the phone like normal while on, try enabling USB-debugging, try the "download mode" where you power-on the phone while holding the "1" key on the keyboard. Ensure your computer successfully installs the device drivers in all of those methods before starting any of this.
If you're having troubles with Windows 7 64-bit, try it in XP 32-bit. All you need are the USB drivers, Odin3 and the PIT and .tar.MD5 files to make this all happen (and the one-click files for root, I suppose). Good luck!
Oh, busted. I'm a lurker. I just realized this is my first post on here since joining almost 3 years ago! Yay me.

DK28 killed my GPS! It was generally always able to locate me, even if it was 30-90 meters off.
After flashing the DK28 modem/stock rom, the GPS wasn't able to find me at all. Closest it got was about 2 miles west of my location. -___-;;;
Currently trying to flash DI18 and see I can get it working again.
**EDIT**
Flashing DI18, getting a lock, then flashing DK28 again, WORKED and fixed my GPS!
I am able to get a fast accurate lock. A bit much of work, but I'm glad its working somewhat again.

Just adding my voice of support to this method.
-Started with stock DI18, GPS averaging 30m accuracy indoors and out.
- Rooted with one-click, installed deoxed DK28 with clockwork
- GPS could not even lock on, even outdoors.
- ODIN'd back to stock DI18
- Got a lock with GPS (back to 30m accuracy)
- ODIN'd stock DK28.
- GPS was averaging 60m lock indoors
- Went outside, aquired a good lock
- GPS now averaging 3m (not 30!) both indoors and out.
After that, I rooted stock DK28 and flashed another DK28 rom (including clearing data and cache) without the quality of the GPS lock decreasing.
Hope this helps.

Using maps on DI18, then flashing the DK28 modem and rom definitely fixed my GPS issues..
Whats odd is I did do GPS status when I was on DI18 and flashed DK28 and still my gps was messed up, so it seems using MAPS is the key.. odd.

Hey all...just wanted to share.
Before the froyo flash my GPS was working.
Before the froyo flash I decided to do the "GPS Fix" turned on hot start up.
After that gps took longer to start.
Flashed to froyo dk.
Now GPS does not work.
Tried getting back to the dialer gps menu, but it doesn't work? do we have new numbers to access the gps menu?

Is there a way to do this without having to flash back? I too am in the group of going from stock eclair to froyo and now I can't see any satellites. Ugh.

I didnt flash back.my gps is fine. Using viper rom 3.0 + gpsfix.

could you give info on how to use the viper rom for newbees?

Sheesh man I must be a lucky MF. My **** locks better than ever. I flashed stock with odin and applied update.zip. I mean my **** almost locks as soon as the app loads..

Can someone tell me the logic behind this approach and why it works?
I havent flashed back to DI18 ... will wait to see if it locks at all outside my house. I know I had some issues before but not consistent.

Locking is insane. 4 meters indoors. I actually walked from one end to th other of the building I'm in and it actually followed me correctly. THANK GOD this was fixed..
My gps initally didn't work then just resent the dk28 modem over and blammo. It worked.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

After flashing I opened maps and couldn't get any satellites to lock, downloaded GPS status and it worked, cleared and redownloaded data in tools just to make sure, maps worked fine after that

Can't get Verizon update any longer

Hello all,
Been rambling around the forums in ninja mode trying to gain enough knowledge to not mess up my phone before trying to mod it but alas best laid plans....
Anyhoo I was working to put the Froyo leak on my phone and everything was good till I did a cwm wipe of the phone and wammo it had problems. I managed to use Odin to get it back to barebones stock, lost my high score in Angry Birds too dang it.
Now that I am back to this point I tried to run the Verizin updates and it downloads and goes into install mode on reboot and it dies at Updating Modem section. At that point I saw I was rooted so I removed that and tried again, no dice amigo. Did a factory wipe, nothing. Cleared the cache, fail again.
If it helps its trying to do a dh12 to di01 update. Got any ideas?
When you went to stock did you flash the stock kernel and stock recovery as well? I had to do this when I updated to dl09
Good question and yes I believe I did, I followed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782204&highlight=return+stock thread to get the job done. Let me try it one more time.
Also I load the PIT file with each md5 correct?
Looks like I fixed it on the second time around. Not sure what I missed but the update went through. No worries. Might pay someone to hand hold my through getting DL30 on my phone cause even as an IT guy I'm missing something every time.
Strong thing is, once the DI01 update happens it actually doesn't find any other updates...wifi is off.
VZW pulled the DL09 update due to the e911 bug until it is fixed
Makes good sense. Sooo anyone wanna tutorialize me on how to de-crappify my phone? Its worth a donation from me.
You're on di01 right?
I would odin the dl09 package, then use cwm to flash super clean 2.2. Clean, debloated froyo goodness
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Sounds good. The problem lies in me somehow fudging up the process at some point and having to set my phone back to stock again.
Where did you see this?
"VZW pulled the DL09 update due to the e911 bug until it is fixed"
Have any sources on this one? I really would like to see them.
Not doubting you, I have just been rebooting and *228 for 3 days trying to get this update only to see this quote...
VZW sent a message to all Fascinate owners the other night acknowledging the bug and a fix being in the works. Why would they continue to push it out after that?

He's right. Google the source if you need it. Please don't take this response as me being snarky, I don't mean it that way.
I think the biggest issue people are having is not being careful and following the directions perfectly.
I was new two days ago and did this with only one hiccup.
1. I followed the Beginner's thread in this forum to get me rooted. First pass with Odin failed as the one click code didn't recognize the phone. 2nd pas worked. Trick was to just turn on USB debugging and plug in phone, do not then click the mount notification. Leave that off as USB debugging was all that was needed.
2. I installed Mod Manager and Titanium backup right after. This was part of the main directions and Titanium (though not mentioned) allowed me to save all my specific apps that had important data, like my 100% completed Angry Birds.
3. I then followed the directions in the developer forum for the How To.. install DL30 for Froyo. This scared me at first because the CW recovery stalled when wiping data. I waited over 30 minutes before getting the courage to pull the battery and start over. Figured its only deleting user data, should be ok. It was and then it worked the 2nd time without fail. I did reboot in normal recovery, but running the update.zip put it back into CW.
4. After that, I rebooted numerous times, checked all stock apps, upgraded firmware in camera, and used Titanium to add back my apps I bought or downloaded as well as restored my bookmarks and memo notes.
In the end I've had no bugs/issues as others have reported. Only functionality not tested is bluetooth as I don't use it for anything.
I hope this helps and if you are walking through it all again, I would be glad to help specific questions based on my experience.
I was DL09 stock OTA at first. I'd recommend getting rooted and using Odin to get the stock DL09 from these forums flashed before you try to put DL30 on. As a developer myself, it just makes sense to always put on builds that are in order of each other. So DI01, then DL09, then DL30.

superchunkwii, thanks for the feedback. When I booted into cwm recovery mode it hung too. I think my fatal mistake was I booted in regular recovery mode and did my wipe....sad. I should have just rebooted and went back in cwm like you did.
As far as freezing apps I did not know freezing angry birds would save its data. Boy was my wife is mad (she plays it the most).
I did everything else on cue so I will try again and see how she goes. IT CAN BE TAUGHT! As the genie says.
On another note I did download the EA28 update today, can I install the DL30 Rom or do I need to "downgrade" to DL09 to get this done? Anyone try?

1. Not freeze.. that makes it so app won't run. Backup with Titanium Backup is what you need I think.
2. What is EA28? I don't think the fascinate has had that build.

EA28 build is the update to fix the emrgency dialing bug in DL09. As I understand, it is otherwise the same as DL09. I am by no means an expert though.

Flashed from Bionix-v 1.21 to Trigger 2.1, now my data is stuck in E.

I flashed from TW Bionix-v 1.21 to Trigger 2.1.1 and though the flash went great and the rom seemed to work perfect, my data is all messed up. It seems stuck on E now where before I was always on H. Speedtest has gone from 4000kbps down to 120kbps down. I flashed back to Bionix and even flashed in the KA6 modem that I had the best results with before and the problem still persists. In Boinix it will show the data speed as H, but as soon as I try to access the internet or use Speedtest, it drops to G, then to E. I'm lost as to where to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated.
What about flashing back to stock using odin then reflashing the rom
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Woah, wait up don't flash back to stock or anything. Follow this thread, it has all the modem software in it. I suggest using Odin...it's real simple, just dl the file extract it and load it into the phone section in odin and hit start....BAM you got a new modem. Do tests with JL5, it's a good modem.
I was thinking of flashing back to stock but I've never done it before. Is there anything I need to do differently because of Voodoo? I may just go the AIO Toolbox method if that's ok.
I won't be doing anything until later tonight. I've flashed a few modems in the modem thread, but none have fixed this problem. I may just flash back to stock (I really don't mind), but I'm just nervous about doing it because of having Voodoo on my phone right now. Can I just flash back to stock using the AIO Tools, or is this ill-advised?
Always best to disable lag fixes, I do it even if I don't have to. If the problem is persisting through different modems I dunno what's up....maybe hardware related? Maybe try one of those cell reception mods. That'd be the absolute last thing I'd do though, try every modem if you can.
I really don't know what happened. It may have even been a bad flash with Trigger, that's when things went bad. Honestly I wish I'd have just stayed put with Bionix. The phone was working perfectly with it. Oh well, I think I'll try flashing back to stock, then going back to Bionix.
Try this:
Settings-->Wireless and Network-->Mobile Networks-->Network Mode
I have mine set to WCDMA only. I only use Auto mode when I travel outside of town. Works great and keeps me out of the edge network.

DUDE, if you haven't ever flashed back to stock, I recommend it now then reflash the new rom. It will totally clean up in ghost data in the phone.
Remember the sequence is Backup everything 1st, then disable the lagfix, Then flash the froyo that does not brick (do not check the repartition box), then flash Stock JFD (this time check the repartition box) Then Root, then, the flash your new rom then Download Rom manager and titanium backup and you are good to go.
BTW, you most likely got a corrupted bit of software in the flash or already it was on the phone but there is no way of knowing, THAT is why you should do this.

Sorry to hear that man. I've had this problem before... looong ago. I had just flashed a new release of a TW ROM and all the sudden my data was stuck on E. I was freaking out just like you haha. I odined to stock and reflashed at least 3 times and the problem persisted.
I just left the phone on overnight and it seemed to work itself out by morning. Maybe it was T-Mobile doing maintenance or maybe the phone was just being retarded...
Either way, I'd suggest flashing back to stock at least once to clear things up. Check back in the AM and see if it's fixed or not

I've never flashed back to stock, and of course all of these excellent custom roms have me flashing like a madman. I think I've flashed at least 5 different roms in the last month at least. I think I understand what you mean by "ghost" data. It's like the old days in Windows 98 where an upgrade install was never as good as a clean install. Flashing back to stock is sort of a clean install for Android I'm guessing?

Ok, this is strange. It looks like this is exactly what's happening. I'm now getting 4000+kbps down again on H. All day though the phone has been bouncing down to E every time I access the internet, go to market, etc. Upload is still quite a bit lower than it used to be though. Still, in the back of my mind though I feel like what oka said above is probably not a bad idea. For peace of mind I'm going to flash back to stock using AIO Vibrant Toolbox, then root, then flash either Bionix or Trigger back on.
Btw, for the short amount of time I had Trigger installed on my phone, I can tell you that it's a VERY nice rom. It looks great and is at least as fast, if not faster than Bionix. Great, great work.
I was having this problem earlier today too on Bionix. I was downloading Quadrant and I was stuck in E for a couple of hours. Must be something wrong with Bionix. Either way it's working now and I hope you solve your problem!

Is DK28 to EB13 a possiblilty?

I just Odin'd straight from DK28 to EB13 with no problems what so ever thus far, I thought everyone was saying it's not a possibility?
Not a possibility to update via flashable .zip not with ODIN

It's actually possible (correct me if I'm wrong) that whatever you flashed through ODIN didn't have the modem for EB13. Going back to DI18 and then using the update.zip to get to EB13 is a sure-fire way to get the new modem...
Chances are you actually did get the modem though if you used the link to the .tar that was posted here... in that case I'm not too sure
Yea I used the modem posted here and in my setting it says EB13
try downloading gps status and deleting agps data thru the app.
I'm on a dk28 ROM with eb13 kernel and modem. My gps lock is quick and within 10 meters tops.

The only two ways to do this, either using the Samsung tool or Odin, will both completely wipe your data and settings. If you want to save your data make sure you do a nandroid backup before updating and then do an advaned (/data) restore with clockwork after you've updated and restored your root/clockwork.
There are more than two ways.
*Samsung tool (or Odin)
*update.zip (for fully stock system)
*cwm flashable di18->eb13. If you are on dk28, then use the cwm flashable di18 w/ modem in the wiki, first.
You will probably lose data and settings when flashing the di18 zip, but as mentioned before, you can do a backup and then restore /data once you make it to eb13.

This is kind of where I'm leaning now. My phone works great, I have relatively few problems and introducing new ones just to get from DK28 to EB13 doesn't sound like a good idea at all.
Is the compass/accelerometer issue resolved in EB13? Will Google Sky Maps work properly? Does wifi turn on everytime, without error? If not, I have nothing to gain and everything to lose by even considering updating to EB13..
New Epic 4g - Rooted and Rommed
Hi, I just swapped out my Evo 4G to a Galaxy Epic 4G, I first was trying to figuring out how to updated to the latest mods but thanks to XDA developers i got it all working fast now. I first installed the Root one Click 3.0.0.5/6 and then i tried to install the Rom but it woulnt take it. So after reading much online, i figured i had to take it to Android 2.2 first to install one of the latest ROM's. si i did the Froyo 2.2 update and the I was able to Flash it using the One Click Root CWM3 Clockwork 3.0.0.6 and installed ViperROM Trinity 4.0.4 and now its running Fast and clean I also installed the Genocide 1.20Ghz EB13 Kernel V.0.2
I ran sum benchmark test and got:
16.561 mflops @ 5.06 sec Linpack
1773 on Quadrant
38.99 seconds on SQL
1315, 2948 on Smartbench
My Epic is Working great Thanks XDA-Dev.

Why is this a pain? Barely different than flashing a new Rom/Kernel:
1) CWM, make backup
2) Odin combo EB13/Root/CW (ext or RFS)
3) CWM, Flash EB13 Rom/kernel (required for ext4, optional for RFS)
4) CWM, restore data
I used Midnight 4.0 and Genocide 0.2a kernel. My homescreen, settings, apps, etc. all restored perfectly.

Well, that's one way to do it... as long as it works for you. I was thisclose to flashing ViperROM but it was delayed by a couple days... so I put on Nebula and two days later EB13 was confirmed. So I'm sitting here, waiting for the EB13 based Nebula (or CM6.2).

The fact that you put up with this nonsense is really astounding.
An upgrade should *never* destroy anything on the phone. The homescreen, settings, apps being as they were -- I take that as an absolute non-negotiable minimum, not some amazing contrivance.

My Journey from midNIGHT 5.3 to midNIGHT 6 (EE03)

I know there are threads here and there talking about getting to EE03.
Go here to get the files that I used for this process:
https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B8...Zjk1Mi00YjYxLWJkYTEtYmM3MGU0MmY3MTlh&hl=en_US
So here is what I did, step by step.
get to stock EC05
1) Open Odin; place EC05 Full tar in PDA, victory PIT in pit, only auto reboot should be checked
2) shut down phone, once fully shutdown (wait for vibrations) press #1 on keyboard and power together until yellow triangle download mode
3) connect phone to PC via usb cable; wait for odin to see phone
4) click start
phone will reboot when finished
close odin
I let the phone boot completely, then turned on GPS; then opened Google Maps and waited the 10 minutes for it to get a lock.
Place EE03 Modem on phone
1) shutdown the phone and go back into download mode
2) open odin, put acs-ee03-modem.tar in PDA, victory pit in PIT, only auto reboot should be checked
3) connect phone via usb cable; wait for odin to see it
4) click start
phone will reboot when finished
close odin
Let phone fully start up; open google maps; instant GPS lock (MUCH more accurate this time went from 90 meters to a few feet)
Root with CWM 3.0.2.5
1) connect phone to PC via usb for mass storage
2) copy midNight v6 (or whatever rom you're using) and acs gps_fix to sd card
(midNight has the CIQ removed and other items the ACS EE03 leak has separate zips for)
3) turn off storage; disconnect phone from PC
4) got to settings; applications; development; select USB debugging
5) TURN OFF ANTI-VIRUS software on PC
6) unzip OneClickRootCWM3.0.2.5-EC05.zip (it isn't really EC05 only)
7) connect phone to PC
8) open command prompt on PC (click windows start menu, accessories; command prompt)
9) navigate to the folder where you unziped one click root
10) type RUN [press enter] (wait for it to say it has completed)
11) TURN ON ANTI-VIRUS software
shut phone off
Flash midNight v6 EE03
1) 3 finger to CWM 3.0.2.5 (volume down + camera + power)
(I have noticed I have had to do it a few times for the phone to turn on, hadn't ever had this issue before. so if it doesn't turn on. simply let go and try again)
2) do the 3 x 3 wipey dance (data/partition cache and dalvik)
3) flash ROM (install zip, choose zip, select rom, yes)
4) reboot to system
As much as I love midNIGHT and I fully support Rob's quest to make more people aware of autism, my eyes about crossed looking at the default wallpaper <sorry Rob>
Now I had NO GPS at this time.
So I shut my phone off, went to CWM, flashed the gps fix from ACS.
reboot to system; GPS worked instant and accurate; but 3G didn't.
I just restarted my phone. When it came back up GPS and data were fine and have been since yesterday afternoon.
I also flashed the gingerbread voice mail zip, which fixed midNight v6 lack of VM.
now customize as you like.
I am modifying framework-res with the status icons I like and some items from Bionix Black
I hope this helps others and also shows that CWM 3.0.2.5 does indeed work.
Just a bump to make it more visible
I've also been considering switching from midnight 5.3. How's the battery on midnight 6 compared to 5.3?
Running 6 right now. There are a few bugs, but I do like the ROM overall.
MMS does not work for me.
Neither does GPS or Netflix.

y not try marcusaunt?
ok am I the last person to know about this google docs sharing bit?! Thanks! (i clicked it). Gonna try this to get to AA ROM, maybe ill try midnight6 again too.. all my ee03 issues may be resolved....
OK, MD5 cheksum no good on ec05 full file... DL'ed twice... just a heads up...
Thank you for taking the time to put this post together.
I gave ee03 a shot in all flavors with two epics but could never shake the unreliable gps and erratic cpu usage. I know smartbench 2011 scores don't mean much but they lingered around 500s in productivity and 1300s in gaming. Even cm7 alpha 1 doubled that. Again I know benchmarks are bogus

Battery is a little less efficient in EE03, as they can't tweak as many things until the release of the code, when the final version of GB comes out

I'll upload it again.
I tried to find where I downloaded it myself, but I haven't been able to find that.
EDIT: I just uploaded the file again.

I have no issue with MMS (I use handcent though).
GPS doesn't seem to work unless you get a lock with the modem before flashing the ROM.
Use the netflix from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098881&page=3
Still isn't valid.

I ended up justing finding an RFS ec05 to flash from clockwork. Then I odin'd the ee03 modem. Then flashed Midnight v6. Flashed the GPS fix. Now works like a freakin charm. Thanks so much for the help. Turns out, all the times I was re-flashing a bunch of different Ginger Roms then flashing the modem, then the fix...all I had to do is go backwards lol
Did a similar journey - from Midnight 5.5 BYOR Fixed to Midnight 6.1 EF02 Beta-ish .
Because I was backstepping from EXT4 to RFS based ROM -thought it would be prudent to go back to factory stock . Also wanted to engage GPS at each step also .
Deleted ' midNIGHT ROM Extras ' folder
ODIN back to DI18 (known working, used before file), got GPS lock w/maps
OTA to EC05 , used maps again
Rooted with Bonsai MasterKey
Flashed midNIGHT ROM v6.1 EF02 Based GB BYOR
Rebooted and flashed ' midNIGHT Extras for (GB Only) ' and AllShare
ODIN ' EF02 modem odin package
For those following along: Quadrant DI18 800ish, EC05 just shy of 1000 and EF02 based ROM got 1300ish - with Midnight 5.5 had a solid just shy of 1700 and 2000 when running 1.2GHz with CPU Tuner .
Had one weird issue, ran my old SprintTV.apk from early ROMing days and after install Market and apps installed via Market disappeared from the App drawer including set Live WallPaper . Deleted extras, reflasted 6.1, Extra and AllShare again and back to solid .
Will look for the SprintTV and Memo in the Extras and tell you how it goes. Also need a EF02 based Gtalk update for Video (whole point of coming off Midnight 5.5) and FFC fix if still needed. Also miss the BlueCircle Batt Theme with the Transparant App drawer - pleasantly surprised to see the continous scroll style App Drawer so far.
Thanks PDFMEDIC and will post again soon
@kenrico - thanks for updating !!

Well, later this afternoon the phone 'reset' again - no Market, Market Wallpaper or Apps disappeared again . Just general use, think I was running Quadrant again and 'poof' .
Reset back to Midnight 5.5 via Nandroid style backup - if I see some help in getting GTalk Video updated to the 6.1 will reflash and do Nandroid style backup after everything is situated so if it goes off kilter can put back with one step instead of the reflashing process . Also side note but thought I had backed up MMS history/content via Titanium but did not come back when I restored the two green color MMS apps in the choices.
Midnight 5.5 is tight, faster and solid with my favorite 'less is more' theme - blue circle batt indicator and transparent style notification pull down and the COOLEST start up and shut down animation to BOOT ! Heh !

Wow, been fighting this since the last post . In traveling back to Midnight 5.5 have hit a few bumps - am LOCKED out . No matter what key/root is used - no matter if I ODIN back to DI18 or EC05 factory (tried both) or get Midnight 5.3 running and booting ---> as soon as I flash to 5.5 on reboot it just hangs at SAMMY screen.
So guess I am back on 5.3 for now - usually with some persistance and patience can solve figure out a way past , but have restored factory 5 times 3 different roots and coming up from working 5.3 was going to be a lock - but did the same hang ... sheesh.
Because I was in flux and not locked in to what I was working on even tried 6.1 again - seemed more stable with new CWM root instead of Bonsai , but absolutely no GPS the two times I tried .
Weird even recopied the original 5.5 file from the puter to the phone - did work before was running 5.5 before trying 6.1 .
Kenny
I got GPS back the following way since the acs fix wasn't doing the trick:
1. nandroid backup of midnight 6.0
2. odin back to stock ec05 with victory pit
3. root with cwmod 3.1
4. flash midngiht rom 6.0
5. get a pinpoint on gps (not sure if this is necessary but was playing it safe)
6. restored nandroid backup
so basically im using the ec05 modem with midnight 6.0 ..gps and data work fine .. speed test on 3g 300-500k down, 400 - 500k up after 3 consecutive tests .. no 4g in the current area im in though

ACS ICS V2 GPS Issue

I had the same issue as alot of you with not having ANY GPS at all after flashing the ACS ICS V2 Rom.
I found a solution:
After flashing the rom flash the
Modem_EI22.zip fome the 2nd post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339344
That worked for me. Hope it works for others
trying now...
(update) - no difference, still needed to ODIN to EC05, end up back at EI22 with NO GPS. oh well.
I flashed the rom 3 times last night with no luck on the GPS. I did this this morning and it worked. Maybe I just did something different.
Update:
GPS worked Once...Now it wont work Again.
Maybe I had a fluke.
I odined back to stock ec05, used stock recovery to update. After first boot I used odin and installed acs recovery, did the rom wipe, installed and have it running great with last gps check 6/6 in my apartment.

Ok, I'm starting over. I'm going to Odin back to Stock EC05 modem and ROM. Go through the process over again and see where it gets me.
I'm thinking because I didn't go back to the stock EC05 ROM, but did go to the EC05 modem that something is missing.
1. Odin to Stock EC05
2. CWM v3.1.0.1
3. Get GPS lock
4. Flash ACS ICSv2
5. Flash EI22 Modem
Fixed....3/3 sats in 30 seconds indoors facing north.
edit: EI22 modem didn't take the first time, GPS was with the EC05 modem. Rreflashed the EI22 modem listed in this thread...and...no GPS.
yea
ok so i get that i can odin back to stock ec05 reroot+cwm then flash ACS ICS to fix the gps, but can i make a nandroid and restore my data and keep gps, cause ive just spent a good hour or so getting it back like i want it and i dont want to do that bs again lol

I would assume EI22.
Well I have GPS working...
1. Odin to Stock EC05
2. CWM v3.1.0.1
3. Get GPS lock (shutdown and 3 finger salute)
4. Flash EI22 modem (Ec05toEI22 .zip)
5. Flash ACS ICS v2
I haven't rebooted the phone yet, but was able to get the GPS service to properly start and to lock in on 4/4 satellites.
