Hi,
Apologies in advance if this is a newbie question.
I'm new to android and wanted to know I can bring up a pound (£) symbol?
When I push the sym button on the keybord, I have the option of using a few symbols such as curly braces, triple dots and even a yen symbol but no pound.
Can someone help please?
Thanks
Ash

Sorry I meant the virtual keyboard.
I've just figured it out. There is another button to display another page of symbols.
Sorry for wasting everyones time!
Excellent. Put [SOLVED] into your thread title please.

Hey everyone,
Quick question, has anyone discovered a way to manually edit the dictionary in swype.
Just to clarify, I'm not talking about words that are saved from user input, but rather the stock words that are included in the swype dictionary.
I believe you just simply type the words in and then punch in the swype key to uninstall it. Same thing as adding a word.

Thanks for the response. The thing is that won't work for words that are originally in the swype dictionary

I'm running Cyanogen 2.2 and am trying to install the HTC Ime Keyboard - I'm able to change the "input method" to it but then when i click anywhere to type the keyboard won't open. Help!
The only one I could get to work was the 1.5 version which is without voice input.

Is there a way to delete words from swypes dictionary? I keep getting words that I messed up on in the past. I'm running the latest beta version.
Thank you for any help you may have.

Highlight the word and press the swype button in the botton left corner.
Thank you much

Ok, here is my issue.
Is there away to disable the Alt - Del key so instead of deleting a whole section of text it just deletes one character at a time.
Sorry just been bothering me a lot lately.
I am on cyanogenmod 7
I use a alternative keyboard. Ultra keyboard. It only deletes one word with a alt and delete. I'm not sure, but other keyboards might do the same for free. As mine was a paid app

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't pressing Del without the alt do what you want?
I'm confused.

http://support.swiftkey.net/discussions/problems/3576-g2-hardware-keyboard-comwww-key-doesnt-work Same problem right there
Basically if i am writing out along text and have to insert a few numbers so i press the alt key twice then i have to type a letter forgetting about the alt I type a number by mistake instead. I quickly see its wrong press the back space and there goes all my work.
That's happen to me a few times with like making smile face "=)" or using numbers or other characters "$" other then letters.
It's just an annoyance to have to retype a long text because of one key.
Yeah, that is what happened to me a lot. And it's for the hardware keyboard as well.

Hey all!
Excuse me for opening a new thread for this but I have searched a lot to find what I want but didn't find it so I guess I need your help guys!
Few month ago I saw a post/thread that mentions an app that modifies the screen initial value to start scrolling!
Excuse my english, I'll try to explain myself: Always and especially while browsing, when you put your finger on screen to start scrolling your finger moves a bit, say 1cm maybe before the screen actually start to scroll (do that slowly and you will notice that).
I don't know what this effect is called, all I remember is that someone mentioned an app that can change this value and perhaps there's also an app in the market that can do so !
Can anyone help me on that please!?
Thank you!
