Just wanted to give people a heads up since its such an iconic game for the iPhone.
I wont be getting it myself (wiimote + emaulators suit me just fine) but I really like the fact that more and more iPhone developers keep coming over to Android. Soon enough iPhone owners will have one less reason to justify putting up with Apples monopolistic system.
another point is that the iphone must be connected to a pc to do just about anything
whereas android users need not even own a pc/laptop, EVER, since everything can be done on the phone
to the cloud!
Not everywhere
Free Google maps navigation? Not in my country.
Free Google voice? Not in my country.
iPhone only on AT&T? Not in my country.
hold the phone....... iphone doesnt have a user replaceable battery?
also in uk iphones on every network.
kids eh.....
bah, where the hell is words with friends. They could be making so much with ad revenue
I tried it and it does not work on my N1, it crashes when it is started.
May try after the update

You do need a Google account to get access to many of the apps/games. Just a way for them to more deeply tie you into their ad spying cash cow. Nothing is perfect, son.

sorry, i don't understand your point, are you saying apple doesn't spy on you?
who clicks ads/reads anyway?
On the other hand, you have a choice to use Google Market and apps. If you don´t want it you don´t. Apple does not give their users much if a choice but that´s ok also. It all depends on your own needs.

I must be missing something, I don't get the point of this game. Is it just killing off the little people in a couple of different ways in each area or is there something more to it that I can't see?
It's in the market for me down here in New Zealand.

just had a guy at ppcgeeks tell me Android is to the mobile market what Linux is to the desktop market. talk about having your heads in the clouds. im soo glad i ditched winmo and moved to the hero. after seeing the disaster of wm7 today i made the right move.
Wow haha... that man has been misinformed obviously. MyTouch 3G? Droid? Nexus One? The only Android phone I could really say that would fit his description would be the Samsung moment (haven't heard of many people with one).

Cant and wont agree with the comment from the guy at PPG, however the 7 phone is far from a disaster and I fully believe that it will bring WinMo back from the dead...even more so than WebOS did for Palm. Its look features, and functionality beats the **** out of everything on the market except Android. Anyway, I'm with Android to stay (though maybe not Sence next time around).

Recovering the costs of new development, and gathering anticipated profits to MS (or any other large company) will have to be realized before any new stuff is released. So they will slow the industry momentum down in order to maximize the money that can make. Money is fine. Slowing everything down sucks.
Now they can slow things down by screwing up others, ie.. specifications for open systems designs and so forth.
Only when they see their customer base being reduced (-14% winmo) will they react.
Google on the other hand supplies a "cloud base" and should be impervious to change costs on platforms. That could mean the introduction of new platforms and system upgrades. Certainly a more open environment.

don't hate I love my andriod more than my old winmo phone, but when html5 getting running everywhere. Now I say this with a tear in my eye(of happyness) there won't be a need for a closed app stores and alot more web based apps
I bought my nexus the day it came out and the market was OK it had a few decent games and apps but i looked through a lot of the games today and there are tons more, and alot are from iphone developers, that i remember seeing when i owned one. Still the graphics are not the best but there not terrible either. I think we will pass the app store in 6 months to a year what do you guys think?
I think the google store should be regulated like the iPhone store. The android one is full of crap e.g. Babes Collection 15 or whatever.
Its just ridiculous, there are afew hundred worthwhile apps on the android store, the remainder need to be purged and the developers making them banned.

This is exactly what needs to NOT happen. That is what makes the iTunes App Store suck balls.
What the Market DOES need though is a better method of users to down vote, or remove apps that are spam.

yeah that would be nice.
Its about choice...
You and I may not care for the abundance of soundboards and porn apps, but some people do. Regulation is not the way to go in an open market. Imagine if someone decided they don't enjoy programs that you do and some how got them removed. Not so fun to ban programs now, just vote with your dollars and reviews. Google just needs the ability to sort by user rating.
Totally agree, censorship would be bad and doesn't belong in a liberal democratic society. Filter instruments to get rid of all the stuff that somebody doesn't like is the better way. If you censor who decides what is appropriate or not? I don't like all the religious programs from all kind of Christian cults in the android market, do they belong censored or banned, no. Let me filter them out and I am happy
I agree that the market is going out of control but rather than some third party playing god or other supreme being I would rather see better filtering abilities on the buyer side. These along with voting and review tools allow the buyer to control what they are looking for and filter out the stuff that starts to glob up the works.
just my $0.02 worth.

Uhh the iTunes App Store is perfectly fine. There are some apps that would've been nice to get through but here on Android we can install randomass APK files that aren't on the market. So I welcome better regulation on the Android Market. Clean out some crap.
If the developer really wants to push something, you can still get it off market. After all isn't that like 90% of the content that's on this forum anyway? Off market apps?
The same can be said of the Apple App Store... maybe a couple hundred truly good and useful apps, the rest are just filler fart noise apps, and what not.
There are good apps, there are bad apps, there are personal choice apps. I would rather have an open market and the ability to install whatever I want than Apple's version, where it is highly regulated, you can only load what is in the app store, and what is in that app store must fit Apple's agenda.
I don't see why apps can't be better categorised and better categorisation inforced.
Users can then choose to see/hide see items in particular categories (e.g. Porn or should I say Adult since porn is supposedly already banned). Perhaps even age rate apps.
I have to be careful letting my daughter play with my phone. She want to see apps suitable for her. It shouldn't be necessary for her to become really savy about how to filter etc...
My other gripe is why Google don't offer the 'option' of requiring a password to purchase...
Zuber
I don't want anyone telling me what I can and cannot have on my phone, so the app store is way better than apple's.
Still, better categorisation and search options should become available. You should be able to search by rating, price, downloads etc. The categorisation is sometimes silly in that twitter apps are either in 'communication' or 'social'.
I Believe a "show by Rating" option would be the best choice

I actually think that is an EXCELLENT idea. It's kind of what I was talking about, allow users to down vote apps and hidden from regular view. Or maybe have a "spam" rating or something that would hide the app from view with enough spam votes.

Maybe they should set up age ratings then put some parental controls on there. Just have it be user or developer rated, so it's still "open"
That might keep the kiddies safe and might give developers more encouragement to make mature violent porn filled games for me(I would love Duke Nukem for android!).
Now that I think about it I havn't seen one game I would say was a M rating for android

Besides the fact developers are spamming the crap out of the market with the all the porn crap. Everytime I look and see what's new, 50% of it is new porn. Look at sowallpaper.com, he/she is the king of spam!
You only need to read the first 3 paragraphs below to get the idea, but Google and Verizon are talking about a deal to throttle internet speeds to websites that can pay more money.
Anyways, here's a link to a pre-made email to send, all you have to do is put some info in. http://freepr.es/bXFB7i
I don't really want to sound like I'm some spokesperson about net neutrality, I just agree with it, and I think this is a bad deal, so I'm trying to get the word out best way I know.
Google is about to cut a deal with Verizon that would end the Internet as we know it.
According to a front-page New York Times story, the deal allows “Verizon to speed some online content to Internet users more quickly if the content's creators are willing to pay for the privilege."
It would create fast Internet lanes for the largest corporations and slow lanes for the rest of us.
That’s why we’re starting a mass protest by Google users to stop these two companies from joining forces to sell out millions of people like us who use the Internet.
If Millions Join Our Call, We Can Stop this Deal: Tell Google, “Don’t Be Evil"
Google’s motto is supposed to be “Don’t Be Evil.” But this deal puts the company in bed with the devil.
From the beginning, the Internet has been a level playing field that allows everyone to connect to one another and the world of content available online -- whether it's ABC News or your cousin’s wedding video. There’s only one Internet, and it shouldn’t matter who your provider is or whether you're logging on from home or your cell phone.
This deal will change all of that, allowing Google and Verizon to pick what websites you can see over others. The result couldn't be bleaker for the future of the Internet and for free speech and independent voices online.
Founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin created Google to make information freely available to everyone online. But this deal is a complete reversal that abandons their core principles:
Sign this letter and tell Google’s founders:
“Your Verizon deal IS evil, and it must be stopped.”
It’s up to the millions of people who use Google every day to tell the company to do the right thing.
Google must walk away from this bad deal, and make sure Internet users everywhere can enjoy the entire open Internet wherever, whenever and however they want.

I havent had a chance to really dig into this but if it is as the couple stories I have read about it suggest this is not good.
Net Neutrality has been a big issue for awhile now. Google was known for fighting for it. That's why this was such a big deal. Turns out it to be false.

They could I suppose, but HTC makes phones for them too, and they could probably afford to have the speed increase if this were true. I don't know why Verizon would do that.
I don't follow news very well, but it looks like both Google, and Verizon, have denied this.
I haven't read into it much, but sounds like it's false. I'm glad Google is fighting for net neutrality, which is why when I heard about this alleged deal, I was upset at Google.

Good luck. Didn't we just see the news that Android is killing the other mobile platforms in sales? I still believe in Google. They fought against Apple and MS, and now they're taking serious ground. well that's obviously because AT&T has crap coverage in rural areas. Same can be said about iPhone more likely to live in the city. Well, if 2 out of 1000 iPhoners have Yahoo mail and 3 out of 1000 Androiders, then that would be "50% more likely," even though essentially nobody on either side actually has it.

Actually, it says that iphone users are "more likely to say they lead," which I tend to believe. Studies have shown that "popular kids" and those who think they are trend-setters tend to be the biggest followers (copying what they see on TV, movies, ads, etc.). iPhone users believe they are leaders and trend-setters because they're doing what they see other popular people do, but clearly there's a difference between saying you're a leader and actually being one.

I had to come comment on the "122% more likely to want a pretty looking, but worthless, device" that's the iPhone demo to a T
(not that the iPhone is worthless, but they definitely have that attitude.)
That is the dumbest **** I ever read. Apple propaganda. Sad thing is it will actually work on someone.
I suppose the take home message here is that android has come full circle. We here on XDA aren't your average android user anymore. The average android user is someone that went to best buy and figured "if I'm going to pay ____, I may as well get a smartphone."
In other words, this is really a testament to the extent that android has done away with the concept of "dumbphones," more than it is a statement about user differences.
This may as well be iPhone users vs the public.

Well, I don't think "propaganda" is fair. I don't think anyone is trying to pull one over on anyone, or make a point.
It's just important to keep in mind that this is a self selecting survey, with no verification. Perhaps iPhone users exaggerated, or weren't quite honest with themselves, as someone already hinted at. To me a large number of the answers iPhone look like they're trying too hard to look special/deep. "Look at me! My fav ice cream is salted caramel, my fav food is tapas, my fav fruit is the clementine!"
Edit: not to mention a lot of the points are "iPhone users are more likely to spend money, regardless of the return" Well, no kidding. Maybe way more iPhone users use gogoinflight because android users, correctly, IMO, think paying $13 to have internet access for 3 hours is absurd. So, you can take a lot of these data points either way.
whats the problem with clementines?

The fruit-to-effort ratio is too low.
I mean really, if I'm going to go to all that trouble to peel the darn thing, I should get a little more for the effort. iPhone people probably have an app to peel it for them.

I LOL'd at this one. "fruit-to-effort ratio"...that made my day so far, thank you for that.
And FWIW, I had never heard of salted caramel ice cream until recently. And it is fricking delicious. I love caramel anything (within reason of course) so that makes sense.

i take it youve never peeled one then, because the peel comes off of them way easier than an orange, and they have no pith. pound wise, they are cheaper too if you buy in a 10 lb bag.
