Thanks for the update. Hopefully people now can stop asking.
The suspense is killing me!!!!
...
Relax ... GCC can take a while to compile!
tell me about it. I've been just sitting back an waiting it out.lol and reading all the posts bout when is it coming bah bah bah. At least we know it will be soon,..
Yeah, just been browsing the forums as well. This will be my first root so I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to get rid of the stupid garbage that Verizon won't let you uninstall.
It'll be my first time as well. I can't wait!
It will also be my first time. I already have a rom picked out (Skyraider Sense 3.3.4) and I cant wait!!!
I would recommend checking out SkyRaider, Myn's Warm Two Point Two, and/or Virtuous to anyone starting out very nice, solid ROMs.
Sent from my Droid Incredible running Myn's Warm Two Point Two RLS4.
I've rooted bout 5 heros.. just switched to Verizon for the dinc.. but haven't had much time for anything. Can't wait to change some stuff up.

WRONG!!!
I believe as early as the third night of Chanukkah / Hanukkah but no later than the 8th night of Chanukkah / Hanukkah. LOL
Edit: But here is the latest status: http://twitter.com/#!/unrevoked/status/10257899808882688
So i just used unrevoked3.22 the brand new one for DINC.
when I try to boot into recovery to do a backup it just goes to a black screen with white borders and sits...
Any ideas?
if I reboot it back to HBOOT it does say S-OFF...so the root must have worked...
EDIT
Nevermind...I then found a separate set of instructions that mentioned a specific recovery for my SLCD screen - all is well now.

Just did the new root. Worked ok, have superuser..etc. However, titanium backup does not work. I allow it root and it states it isn't getting root.
Do you have busybox installed? You will need that too.

You can either do one of two things:
1) Download BusyBox from the market and run it and follow the instructions or
2) Run Titanium Backup and wait for the error to show. Once it clears out hit the Problems? button. It will install BusyBox for you.

Actually no I am not. I don't like any extra apps added etc so I use the galaxy beta theme for cm6
I'm still on RC1. I got HORRIBLE battery life with the 731 and 801 nightlies, so I just went back.
Can you please provide a link? I'd love to try this as well.
BTW, are you using ROM manager to get the latest CM6 nightlies?
Where do you get the power up and what does it so? I've seen mention of it but have never seen a link.

No, CM6 doesn't have it yet
haha I got good response here. okay I know fletch covered the cyan power up but here let me link and respond to everyone else in one big post.
first off: no i dont get greatt battery life unless I use JuiceDefender, then I get bogus hours, it lasts forever, umm to be honest, my numbers are pathetic because Im literally on my phone allllll day long, at work, when I get more than 8-10 hours from it I'm happy because im heavily using the browser and sending hundreds of texts too. okay. on...
Cyan Power Up 5.0 is a must for cyanogen users IMO, you can find all the updates and changelog for it on its thread here:

Although I agree the bootup animation is from older versions of Android, It's clearly 2.x+ as shown at 1:20 by the lwp, phone app instead of dialer, and a few other apps in the drawer.
So, Ive tried 3 different ROM's. and on two of them used Riptides blue theme. Right now, Im using MikFroYo v4.61, with the Chogardjr-Blue-Theme-v4.6x-Odex-signed theme. At initial boot, the market starts out blue, but after awhile it switches back to stock green. Any ideas why?

It has something to do with the market's auto updater. If you go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900584&highlight=cyan+dragon
and go to post 2, there's a method that shows you how to get your custom market back. I just kind of let it go, personally.

When it doesn't break anything, me too
Hello everyone. I have the phone for 2 days now, and what I have noticed is that it randomly rebooted once yesterday (I think I caused it by running 100 things to drain the battery quicker) and a bit of lag when unmounted the SD card. Also gallery lags once in a while when loading.
Should I expect more random reboots, or was it caused by me?
About the lag, is this happening to everyone?
I also noticed that front camera is not really in the middle of its space, is it a generic issue?
Thanks everyone for the help ahead.
random reboots aren't really typical, but nothing to be worried about.
I'm guessing you are on the stock rom. i would blame the lag on that.
The offset front camera is normal. move has it and so did the other 3 mytouch 4Gs I've seen.
Hope i helped!

I think the ones in older Sense devices just logs crashes in apps though, while the one in new Sense devices logs everything, giving the old one less important info, and leaving the new one far more vulnerable.
Isn't this where droidwall or the like comes into play? Removal is always best but blocking those unwanted apps from accessing data should be commonplace.
