I ordered one about an hour ago. I got an order number and customer ID in the confirmation email just like every other Dell purchase.Even though I chose 3-5 day shipping in the cart, the status page is showing 7 day shipping and a 12/27/10 est. delivery date.
And the link on the twitter hashtag #dellvenuepro still seems to be working even though the pocketnow article says they pulled it.
I ordered as well. I received an order number and customer ID in the confirmation email, and I picked 2 day shipping. The estimated Delivery date is Dec. 22 for me.

I placed an order also earlier and it said my estimated delivery is Dec. 21st with next day shipping. The case for the phone says I will receive it Dec. 8th

Talked to a chat line agent and they said tomorrow is the release date, she then told me to call this 1-800 number and the lady I talked to said she couldnt disclose a date but all she could tell me was real, real, real, real soon. I just laughed. So i figured it was tomorrow
ahh got my order in.. I wasn't planning on getting the 8 gig model but thats okay (I'm going to swap out the micro sd card for a 32 gig if its possible). But im not getting where the $150 is coming from? Just bought mine for $99 on contract.

edit: oh thats strange, it only gave me the option for the 8 gigabyte model.
Thats weird I only had the option for 16GB in which I wanted but thats one thing I checked before checking out

If you go back to the fs site, you'll see that there are two options now for venue pro, one is 8gb and the other one is 16gb, I tried ordering again (after first order few weeks ago being cancelled) and see what happens. I did next day too - expected delivery date is 12/14.
I had to call Dell and cancel the previous order I'd placed yesterday through the FS link, before it would accept the Accessory coupon mentioned in the previous page. The delivery estimate for that order was 12/22. Once cancelled (over the phone), I ordered again in the (what I assume is now the) legit way, and got $50 off, but picked one-day shipping versus 2-day. Total price difference after tax was about $36, but the delivery estimate is 8 days earlier - worth the effort in my opinion
Ordered my Venue PRO early in the morning, got a phone call from India later in the afternoon to confirm my shipping address and now has an "In Production" status and a 12/15/10 estimated delivery date...

Ordered mine yesterday didn't want them to sell out again!
They seemed to have pulled it again.. I was waiting for my upgrade status at Tmobile to be fixed. This is pissing me off.. I am stuck with a old Nokia flip phone as I had to send my HD7 back to Tmo.

Come on guys, every phone has issues when it comes out. Luckily for us the Venue Pro is DELL's signature WP7 phone so they can focus on it, unlike HTC.
They can improve it by updates and other stuff.
Everyone is worrying just a bit too much.

You need a discount code from your Dell Account manager then you can ring the EPP hotline and order at the discounted price... normally its a 3% discount but the Streak is an extra 7% off until July 31st... As far as I'm aware the discount is available to employees of any company with a corporate account at Dell, including NHS, Local Govt., etc.

Looks like they pluck the delivery date out of the air i hate waiting
I ordered 29th of June and my EDD was 19th July but yesterday they called me to tell that they are out of stock. After that phone call I noticed that my order was cancelled. Of course I contacted their live chat to ask what is going on and they apologised and asked if I remember who called me but I did not remember the name. After that they called me back to confirm new order so my new order is 5th July and delivery date is still 19th July but when I asked when it will be delivered I was told that 2-3 working days so I asked again if it will be this week and it was confirmed that Yes it will be this week as my order already finished production period.
So probably the container from china is already somewhere in the docks.
I think i will give them a phone watch this space

first time i have ever bought something from dell. they sure do have a funny way of doing business.
I did not order one from Dell directly (got mine off ebay from US & unlock code) but a friend of mine told me the same thing this morning. He ordered online the very first day the news leaked that you could order a DVP on Dell UK. Was originally indicated on/before 10th.Mar but now it shows on/before 21st.Mar.
I placed my order on 2nd March.
Estimated delivery date is still reading as 10/3/2011 on the order status. Credit card looks like its been charged, but still not properly showing on the credit card statement (i.e. available amount is less, but a Dell particular on the statement hasn't been added).
Just gave Dell a call and went around a big circle and they told me email the following address: [email protected] as smartphones are being handled by a different company.
I just emailed them, we'll see how it goes.
just got a order confirmation today (2nd one) i went to check my status on my order to fin they have canceled my order and redone the order (what explains why i received a second order confirmation) giving me a new order number and a date of 28/03/11.
so its delivery date has gone from:
10/03/11
to
22/03/11
to
28/03/11
I wonder if i will ever get this phone. I guess this would match the march 21 release date for nodo that has been said on znet today.
Wish I could get an update! My order status page still says 10/3/2011. Emailed the address Dell told me to email two times, and no reply.
I actually received a call from them the day after my order (3/3/2011). But the moment I picked up the phone they hung up. No recall or second attempt to my mobile.
Ridiculous. I've always been an advocate of Dell, but that was Dell Asia Pacific which are MILES better than Dell UK. Dell UK is useless, and utter garbage.

you should try the online chat ( bit like messenger text chat) you can find it under sales support on the uk website. ask them for a update (but dont expect much their support team are crap)

So I got my ordered automatically cancelled and a new order created, just like you. New ship date is 29/03/11.
Ah well, at least I heard from them and this is something happening in the background.
I noticed on the Dell UK website, they are now charging the device at a lower cost - £365.13. It was £383 a few days ago.
Now for those people that ordered early, they have cancelled the order at £383 and created an new order at the new repriced the device at ~£365. Thing is, they are now charging us early buyers double the freight than what is normal, so they can get it to the price it was. i.e they are screwing us over.
What I mean is this:
Prior to price change:
£386.65 + VAT + Free Freight (if ordered before 3/3/2011) = £463.97
With new price change
£368.13 + VAT + £18.52 (freight) = £463.97
Now if you go the website and configure the device again, freight is only £9. They in essence they are charging us double the freight so they can charge us at the same price that we had ordered it at.
The stupid thing is that I ordered early to avoid the freight as they had an offer saying free freight if ordered before 3/3/2011. What makes it even worse is along with doing this, they pushed the delivery date back by 3 weeks.
I've written into Dell and told them to remove the freight altogether otherwise I'm cancelling my order.
I'm going to call them and blast them tomorrow.

I have also contacted dell by email as they are charging me £458.99 and if i order the same dell venue pro (including vat and shipping) it is saying £449.80 (including shipping and vat).

Looks like you were screwed over by Dell also. Sucks to be one of the first.
I emailed them demanding they remove the shipping altogether (since I was promised no shipping), and they actually emailed back the following:
I hope this finds you well. I'm sorry to hear that you were charged more than what was offered to you on order#: XXXXXXX. I have requested that we waive the shipping fee fo £ 18.52 on the new order. However, we will need to wait for the order to ship out first before we can process a refund. Please reply to this email if you're ammendable on this. I will wait for your response. I have assigned Service Request#: XXXXXXX as our reference for this issue.

just an update.
my dvp order has changed status to in production about 2 days ago.
meaning that it should be sent by early next week (my guess). hopefully i should receive it by mid to the end of next week.
At last i think it may finally get released!! all suppliers are now saying the 26th for stock, i've found one supplier that had some in, called them and spoke to them, had them check they were actually on the shelf, and they confirmed that, put the phone down made the order on their website, now it says on their site on back order stock on the 26th, so i think they may have had a telling off from dell, or someone higher looked and said "we cant ship those yet" but at last looks like the phone will finally get full release in the uk!! FYI those that are buying from Dell direct, clove are doing them for 420 inclusive of VAT + £8 Delivery charge.
so thats another 30-40 saving for you all!

clove has the 8gb model for £420 + £8 for delivery (428)
dell has it for £449 including postage (go to the small business part of the website as its £10 cheaper than the normal customer part, dont ask me why) is for the 16gb version.
so its £21 more for a extra 8gb
I would wait until you get your VP and then if they don't refund you open a dispute with your bank/credit card company.
That will get you the difference back - maybe even more than the difference back depending on how pro-active Dell are about disputing prices.
My experiences of it are that I have never been charged for a disputed purchase ever after raising it with the card company so it is worth it should they not change the price.
I would also add that if you do dispute it - tell the cc/bank that you were over charged for an item you did not want.
I have a US unlocked VP and I am currently trying to see if I can get Dell to exchange it under warranty as its sliding mechinism is not straight and it freezes alot. I can live with this if
I have to and I don't regret buying it from the US but if Dell will honour the warranty then I will certainly try and get a better VP.
another update
no change on status and no money removed from account. i have email dell again and asked for a status update and when it will be sent. i have also asked if their warehouse works weekends as if they dont and its not sent tomorrow i will not receive it on moday (the estimated delivery date).
hopefully i get a responce to my email but i wont hold my breath.
its a bit anoying that their call centre is only open 9-5 mon-fri and thats when im at work.
Dell is an absolute waste of time in my opinion.
I ordered the phone on the 2nd March on its website. When I checked back a few days later I see that for some (still) unknown reason the order had been cancelled.
I emailed them and asked why it was cancelled and why I had not been emailed to let me know.
One of their support bods apologised and re-ordered it.
The estimated arrival date was and still is set for the 24th March!!
I also emailed them on the 13th and asked if I would be paying the cheaper price rather than the more expensive price on the launch day. Have received no reply!!
I emailed them yesterday also asking them what use the status page was if it is not kept up to date and when I might receive the phone. Have received no reply!!
What an absolute joke of a company. I have a good mind just to refuse delivery of the item when it does eventually get round to sending it out.

I spoke to the guys at 3 today via their sales team and they stated that they have the Silver in stock and would be delivered tomorrow should I order today the black one however isn't expected until 03/04/2013

I ordered mine through Very with the same date of the 25th. Seeing as it was cheaper to pay for over couple of months. However after calling them 4 times to find out when I was going to receive the device I was given the suppliers number to call which turned out to be Nokia Support. I have since cancelled the order with Very and taken out a contract with 3 instead. Device should be with me by the 28th. Hopefully.

Interesting and annoying that different stores have different prices for sim free.
I will be in that area next Friday but by that time Asda may have shipped mine so would need to go through hassle of returning it and refund for £40 saving.

On that basis, I will be taking the day off work on Monday and if it does not arrive I will be certainly giving them a piece of my mind. I have no confidence that it will be here/there on the 25th or 27th for that matter.
People buying from Very Handtec and Asda are all in the same boat. We have no actual ides when we will get our phones.
Only places that seem to give a realistic date is Three as they delivered phones this week as advertised.
Those who preordered or ordered the US Version of the S8 or S8+, how long did it take before you got it? I ordered mine (Model # SM-G955UZKAXAA) on May 31st directly through Samsung and I haven't even gotten a tracking number yet however I can simply walk into any Best Buy in my area and pick one up. I'm thinking of cancelling the order and just doing that.

I just ordered the unlocked version too from samsung.com and I did the trade in thing with my Note 5 and received 300.00 trade in value, but told me should ship in 1-3 days, I have too noticed that best buy has them in stock, but i wanted to just trade in my Note 5, I would be on the phone with them about it if I was you, also my order is suppose to ship 2nd day air, what type of shipping did you get with yours?

I just ordered the unlocked version too from samsung.com and I did the trade in thing with my Note 5 and received 300.00 trade in value, but told me should ship in 1-3 days, I have too noticed that best buy has them in stock, but i wanted to just trade in my Note 5, I would be on the phone with them about it if I was you, also my order is suppose to ship 2nd day air, what type of shipping did you get with yours?

They are shipping 2nd day air but it has been a week now and still no sign of it being shipped. I called them last night and the rep said they weren't on backorder so I don't know what's taking them so long. She said I should be getting a tracking number today but still haven't gotten anything. I'm ready to cancel my order and get something else.

Yeah if mine doesn't ship by Friday I might just cancel mine, they should should be able to contact the warehouse see whats going on, unless yours just got lost at the warehouse, but Samsung wants to sell phones then they need to get there act together and ship orders promptly.

I know. We spend 800 something on a phone and the service is awful.
Ordered the S8+ 64GB (Unlocked), Model Number: SM-G955UZKAXAA, ( SM-955U1 ), through my Samsung account.
Ordered June 5th (evening after 5pm)
Confirmed June 6th
Shipped June 7th (picked up by FedEx @ 5:39pm in Indianapolis using 2nd Day shipping)
Tracking number states it will arrive June 9th between 9:45am-1:30pm. (North Florida)
Indirect signature is required. You, your neighbor, apt. office manger, etc. or sign door tag for delivery on the next attempt if they miss you. I have a FedEx Delivery Manager account but can't electronically sign it for this particular shipment like I can with my UPS account. I am leaving a signed signature waiver release form for both the phone and the separately shipped nano SIM card. If I'm not there and they don't accept my signature release form, it will probably be Monday before I get it.
Wouldn't you know it. I finally got my tracking number six business days later. I should have the phone in two days.
yeah I just woke up to email stating my has shipped and should be here Friday with indirect signature, so I will have to type up and sign a release and hope they take it.
FedEx accepted the my signature waivers and the S8+ was delivered as scheduled at 10:30am on June 9th. It was about 3.5 days from the time I submitted the order until it arrived at my front door.

Yeah I walked into best buy and bought one. Then went back 3 days later for the $100 credit from the price drop.
I'm sitting on the back ordered list. I have the $100 off plus the $200 trade in for any smartphone. I don't want to walk away from such a great discount.
Usually I'm quick to pre order but this time was a bit too late to the game, tried to order the 128gb variant on the Samsung UK store, but didn't work. Shows 21st of March as the earliest delivery date and then when you add to basket, it removes it saying there's no stock even though the first page shows there is.
How has everyone else's experience been in the UK, where did your preorder from and when do you expect yours to be delivered?

The discount is what made me order, been saying to the wife I wasn't upgrading. Didn't need to from my S10+ 512GB.
Then found an old email with the discount code and it was ordered... Discount code expired 15/02 so it was fate....

Well worth it for that price. I've currently got the Galaxy Fold, so not sure if I'll enjoy the S20 Ultra more or not.
Anyways just managed to preorder from Curry's, I've never used Curry's to Preorder before so not sure what they're like. Got an email saying I'll get the phone on the 28th of February, which is clearly rubbish on their part.
Has anyone recently ordered the Ultra from Samsung? The dates are now back to the 28th March
Pre-ordered on Samsung UK site. Delivery BY 28th March. I don't mind waiting for it.
Bare in mind, the whole Coronavirus outbreak etc will affect supplychains, so there could be a wait if you are late to the pre-order game.

They will be coming direct from Samsung, I know from previous S10 order from them. So be interesting to see if we get them early like some other direct orders have been doing in US. Be nice to have it Friday for weekend.
Just to let you know a significant number of Samsung phones are being dispatched from the main networks and Samsung this Sunday...

EE advised me that the 13th is the official launch for them, not sure if that's nationwide but I'd imagine so judging by what the CS for EE reacted like when I said people have already got the device.

TL;DR vodafone are idiots and make stuff up or not tell you the full info they have in front of them ?
pretty pi$$ed at Vodafone right now i pre ordered the ultra on 12th feb which a week later i found had been cancelled apparently fraudulent activity on my account ? I didn't get any notification that this had happened from them so there wasn't any
i had only called to ask if it would be much difference in price between the 128gb and the 512gb i told them i would have a think and call back later that day but when i did they said they would have to cancel everything and start over so i told them i will stick with the 128gb
found a week out later they just cancelled everything with this alleged fraud crap ? i replaced the order on 19th feb all good so far
got a text today saying 2 week delay so called them today to be basically told its Because i ordered on 19th wtaf?
the first agent i spoke too didn't even mention the attempt fraud just said they had no reason it was cancelled and basically suck it up its delayed from the order on 19th your in a second batch ? not happy with this i went back to customer complaints to be then told all about the suspected fraud that the first agent neglected to even tell me about even though i wasted 35 minutes trying to get an answer why i got my order cancelled in the first place?
the last agent informed me of what had gone on and then went on to say Samsung have delayed the 512gb in the uk or have limited numbers for the uk of the 512gb so its the 128gb or nothing for the Ultra at the minute and EVERYONE who pre ordered from Vodafone are getting this 2 week delay from release date of 13th ??
