Those who preordered or ordered the US Version of the S8 or S8+, how long did it take before you got it? I ordered mine (Model # SM-G955UZKAXAA) on May 31st directly through Samsung and I haven't even gotten a tracking number yet however I can simply walk into any Best Buy in my area and pick one up. I'm thinking of cancelling the order and just doing that.

I just ordered the unlocked version too from samsung.com and I did the trade in thing with my Note 5 and received 300.00 trade in value, but told me should ship in 1-3 days, I have too noticed that best buy has them in stock, but i wanted to just trade in my Note 5, I would be on the phone with them about it if I was you, also my order is suppose to ship 2nd day air, what type of shipping did you get with yours?

They are shipping 2nd day air but it has been a week now and still no sign of it being shipped. I called them last night and the rep said they weren't on backorder so I don't know what's taking them so long. She said I should be getting a tracking number today but still haven't gotten anything. I'm ready to cancel my order and get something else.

Yeah if mine doesn't ship by Friday I might just cancel mine, they should should be able to contact the warehouse see whats going on, unless yours just got lost at the warehouse, but Samsung wants to sell phones then they need to get there act together and ship orders promptly.

I know. We spend 800 something on a phone and the service is awful.
Ordered the S8+ 64GB (Unlocked), Model Number: SM-G955UZKAXAA, ( SM-955U1 ), through my Samsung account.
Ordered June 5th (evening after 5pm)
Confirmed June 6th
Shipped June 7th (picked up by FedEx @ 5:39pm in Indianapolis using 2nd Day shipping)
Tracking number states it will arrive June 9th between 9:45am-1:30pm. (North Florida)
Indirect signature is required. You, your neighbor, apt. office manger, etc. or sign door tag for delivery on the next attempt if they miss you. I have a FedEx Delivery Manager account but can't electronically sign it for this particular shipment like I can with my UPS account. I am leaving a signed signature waiver release form for both the phone and the separately shipped nano SIM card. If I'm not there and they don't accept my signature release form, it will probably be Monday before I get it.
Wouldn't you know it. I finally got my tracking number six business days later. I should have the phone in two days.
yeah I just woke up to email stating my has shipped and should be here Friday with indirect signature, so I will have to type up and sign a release and hope they take it.
FedEx accepted the my signature waivers and the S8+ was delivered as scheduled at 10:30am on June 9th. It was about 3.5 days from the time I submitted the order until it arrived at my front door.

Yeah I walked into best buy and bought one. Then went back 3 days later for the $100 credit from the price drop.
I'm sitting on the back ordered list. I have the $100 off plus the $200 trade in for any smartphone. I don't want to walk away from such a great discount.

Just placed my order through premier earlier and then got an email 3.5 hours later saying that they are backordered...
I haven't gotten my confirmation email yet from an order I placed about four hours ago, but the Premier website shows that I have an order in progress (with no details).

I got through (took about 30 minutes). They said that it would either ship the end of this week or beginning of next. I cancelled my order -- maybe I'll get the nexus one instead, and risk the wrath of my wife.

Yeah Newegg (Simplexity) is best price around, no FAN req'd. Ordered Sunday night, receiving 2 Arias in the mail Wednesday.
If you want to pick it up in person and actually want to PAY for the phone, go to Costco. Best in-store price, better than Best Buy.
newegg and letstalk.com both have the Aria for free right now
Just an update:
I was finally able to get through to premier yesterday, all of the other times I tried it just said to try again later. The person I talked to said that it was too late to cancel the order.
Today, I just got an email saying that my phone has shipped. Now, it's time to wait for the fedex man to arrive @ my house...
I had ordered one for my wife through premier store on monday night and it came as back ordered too. I canceled and went to my local store where they then gave it to me for $229 and $100 in free accessories. The premier store wanted $318.99... I'm glad it was on back order or I would have paid the $318.99 amount. Its no nexus, but it sure holds its own. And, apps that aren't in the app store can be installed via bump. We put shapewriter on hers last night from my nexus and it worked perfectly (shapewriter is not in app store).
Mine finally shipped...just in time for the weekend and I doubt they sprung for Saturday delivery. So tomorrow I am going to call the FedEx depot and beg for them to let me pick it up.
Ordered mine today over the phone with premier. It has been processed and shipped already. So they obviously have them in the warehouse. Good luck guys
How many of us pre-ordered with Best Buy and got back ordered? I ordered a 32g White on the 8th.
I pre-ordered from BB as soon as it was available (32GB W). Got an email notice yesterday the device has shipped (from OH). This morning the device is in Buffalo.
Due to arrive on Tuesday, per UPS tracking.
Same thing. Shipped from OH and coming on Wednesday. If my preorder back from the 8th went to back order status I would go find a store that has the model you want and talk to the store manager. That's not right (don't care what or how it happened) thats not good customer service and last time I checked the majority of the US economy is what?.......a service economy.

Now I am bummed I found them at a Best Buy close to me and I called to have it transferred to store so I can get it now but now it says order being fulfilled now and they cannot transfer now. They said I should get it Thursday or Friday so much for pre-order.
it's ridiculous how pre-order is to be shipped after the retail store have it in stock. i've always thought pre-order is to be shipped out so that the buyer would have it on the same day it's available to consumers.
cancelled pre-order, pick 1 up this morning. i'd be surprise if they sell much @ my local best buy, no ads or any indication they have it in stock. no display unit. most reps don't know they have it other than mobile department reps.
Gosh, that really sucks guys. I pre-ordered mine on Amazon, got annoyed with the delayed shipping (and decided to upgrade to a larger capacity), and ended up walking into my local Best Buy and picking one up.
Why can't these companies do a pre-order right. It shouldn't be that hard. You don't even have to guess at the demand! There is no reason that I should have been able to walk into the store and buy one when you guys are stilling waiting to receive your pre-order.

There's just no reason to pre-order these things. You know there won't be a stampede to get them and the pre-orders are always handled in some funky manner.
Either do it the Apple way where pre-orders are literally delivered to peoples' doors the day the product is released or at least make it so that people can pick up their device in-store on that date.
Pre-order actually worked out OK for me. My local BB, while it had >60 of these devices on 17th, 100% of them were 16GB devices - I want a 32GB device. Who know when this BB store will get 32GB in inventory?
I'll have my device on Tuesday - soon enough, I suppose.

Here are a few that could help them:
-Ship preorders early so they arrive on Launch Day. If not possible due to various reasons, clearly indicate that on the preorder information.
-Allow people that preordered and are on backorder to pickup their preordered model in the store.
-Dont wait until customer opinion surveys reach rock bottom before attempting to fix the problem. High end electronics retailing should equal good customer service. I dont care that you might only have 5-10% margin, to the customer they are still paying on average more than other items.
- Have an equal or slighly smaller quantity of device accessories along with the tablet.
Dang I am so jealous I am still waiting for my pre-order. Thursday is suppose to be my day.
I pre ordered on the 8th. When I found out they wouldn't start shipping them out until the 17th, I canceled my order. I ended up going to my local BestBuy on the 17th to pick one up.

There's a thread going with T-Mobile pre-orders in the Q&A forums. I pre-ordered on the 18th, first date it was available. Had an estimated delivery date of the 26th which came and went. My card was just charged yesterday, thinking they will start shipping today or tomorrow. My status is still as backordered.
This whole pre-order thingy is whack, should have just waited till Wednesday and gone in to get the N3 and Gear watch same time.

I pre-ordered on the 19th. My cash was held on Friday but I haven't received any shipping info. I've called in asking for the status and was told they won't ship anything until the 2nd. I'm thinking I should have just gone into the store since I ordered ground shipping and will have to wait that long now. Kinda sucks.

Now that you mentioned shipping that just made me more upset, $25 overnight shipping to get it maybe 1 or 2 days later than stores? WTF....
Also if there is a problem with the device, ordering in the store is MUCH easier because you can just walk in and swap it out. Online orders you have to ship it back to them, wait up to a week for them to look over it and hope they don't lose it (they lost my S4 for 3 weeks in their receiving warehouse) then mail you out another and you get charged $5 for a "swap" fee.
Top it off, you can't cancel the order once you pre-order it. This whole pre-order thingy stinks of BS. T-Mobile rep said to wait for it to ship (whenever that will be) then wait for the UPS man and refuse delivery, that's the ONLY way to cancel it. You'll lose your shipping charges too. Nice eh?
I forgive them though, they did get my LG G2 delivered to me 2 weeks before the store release date. =)
I had to order mine online to quality for my promotion (10% off service and $50 account credit). It also claims I'll have 2-4 days to wait for it (free shipping, no expedited option was available). I'm willing to be patient to save $218 over the course of two years, though

I called 5 stores and visited one in person on Monday. All the stores have them in stock and go on sale Wednesday. I didn't hear anything about low stock from any of them. Most likely the rep just wants to get you in there asap to get a commission, lol. I had one rep badger me to sign up with service now, then come back and buy the phone on Wed, lol.

I'm in SC and will also pick my note 3 up tomorrow around 10am we they open. And my area has 2 locations each with only 8-10 black in stock.

The T-Mo Corp Store I work in as a RSA got 15 of the black only. We do not have a Demo phone to show customers. I will be buying my phone tonight before I leave the store. Most of the stores that I talk to got under 15 some got demos some did not. My store has never sold out of a Galaxy phone on day one.

Well I have had mine since 1034am and so far I'm not liking it as much as the mega 6.3. It's basically the same size as the note 2 the no big difference there. There is auto correct while typing. It is rooted however the system is keeping certain root apps from working, such as wifi trevE mod which I still haven't figured out. Anyone that has a work around on the wifi trevE mod please by all means help me out with a link & screen shot of the settings. Thanks in advance.

nope. i just did a sample/fake shipping on fedex.com, for Saturday delivery, have to pay extra for it.
dont think att will be paying extra for saturday delivery.
2 days air delivery on Saturday 51.57$
2 days air delivery on Monday 34.29$
i sure att have discount on shipping but it still cost more to delivery on Saturday

That sucks. I frequently get deliveries from fedex (don't pay anything extra for it) on Saturdays but I guess it is different with the 2 day delivery service vs home delivery service.

Because......... When you want two of them...... There is very little upfront cost. I think of it as a lease with option to buy. When I get two, towards the end I sell them off, pay for the remainder, and get to keep one of them for a hand me down for my son. It all works out in my benefit. It's a little tricky to explain but trust me, it's worth it.

when is my "upgrade eligibility" get updated? when they shipped out my phone or after i received the phone?
let say Att ship my Edge on Thur, i'll be getting it on Monday. Fedex wont delivery on Saturday with 2days air unless you pay extra.
can i still go to store and buy the Edge on friday using "upgrade eligibility"? or is that too late already since att updated my upgrade status and make me ineligible to upgrade for another 2 years?
if i able to get Edge in store on friday, i going to return the one i pre-ordered on att.com.

2nd business day shipping, the package will be at your local fedex distribution center on Saturday, you might be able to call them and have them hold it and you pick it up, but you will get in Monday for sure, pre ordered the note 4 and and they did the same thing.

It doesn't stay fedex. It's starts out fedex and then it switches to USPS. USPS delivers on Saturday. Therefore you will get it

I have also and I have aalso delivered them. I'm a mail carrier. Most of the phones I've delivered have started of FEDEX. maybe it just depends on there load. It can come either way
a few things to note on my last 3 pre-orders (GS3, iPhone4, & GS4):
1. Pending charges on credit cards may or may not be a good indicator of whether or not the phone will ship on time. Currently my flip case charge was pending on my card since yesterday but not my phone. Two of my last pre-orders from AT&T didn't have charges show up until a few days after I received my phones.
2. No need to pay for expedited next day shipping. Many people paid extra thinking it would be faster. All 3 of my pre-orders were shipped Next Day even though I selected 2-day and I received all 3 on the day AT&T said they would start selling them.
3. Many folks stated their order statuses never changed or never got shipping info but they received their phones on time.
So if all things remain the same, I'm hopeful from past experience that those that preordered, will get our phones tomorrow but I'll still have my fingers crossed.
My order status is Pending Confirmation. Dunno what that means.

OK I just got a shipping through Fedex notice but it says part of my order was shipped and anything backordered will be shipped as soon as it's made available. The problem is it doesn't tell me what is shipped and what isn't!! My phone better not be backordered as I ordered right after it became available around midnight of Nov 7th!

Yes, tracking has been given to people who preordered in the first wave of available devices. I'm due to receive it tomorrow according to UPS 2nd day air.

I have had three reps tell me it's backordered and not shipping until 11/8-11/28 and my account recently updated to reflect this on the order. At this point, you're better off trying to walk into a store on 10/28 first thing when they open and pick it up.
Or you could just pre order hoping for the best. Then if it doesn't come by the 28th, cancel the pre order and just walk into the store to buy it.
I recieved an email expected shipping date is 10/18/--10/24 next day shipping
I pre-ordered my V20 (taking full advantage of the $200 trade from LG by swapping my Note 4 in) yesterday and woke up this morning to three texts, one including a tracking number for my order having already shipped. Will update when I can see a location or when it arrives.

Nah, at this point you're just better off walking into a store and picking it up. Everything I've got points to 11/8 being the early edge of the next availability range. At this point after all that I've been put through, I'm starting to entertain the idea of looking at other carriers. T-Mobile got me in over a dozen years ago for their customer service and now even that isn't any better than any other carrier I've had. (AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, had all three in one way or another.)
I ordered Monday morning, CC charged yesterday and ready for shipping this morning. I just got an email from Ups this evening saying it will be here tomorrow. I wasn't expecting that.
It has arrived, and I is very nice, now time to say goodbye to my Note 7...
I ordered at 10am central Monday morning in store (JOD). I have origin scan in Louisville and scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. I changed delivery to a hold at UPS customer center so I could get it at 9am when they open.
I just pre ordered mine. If I don't like it I'll pay it off and sell it on Swappa at full price lol. Or at least get my money back. Plus I keep the headphones too lol. Now the waiting game begins.

ordered mine yesterday after a half hour after my friend ordered his, my phone on the website appeared as back ordered while his was processed and shipped today. Tried to cancel the order and they said I couldn't because my cc was charged and on there end it shows ready for shipment however there was no tracking info. The only thing i got back was my expedited shipping fee credited to my account..........
