So I had dj05 and everything was working great - untill I installed voodoo5 1128 - I couldn't get into the recovery so then I reodin'd the phone back to stock- which everything is working - except when I change the homescreens and reboot the phone, the screens reset back to stock, all the widgets go back to stock and layout goes back to stock. What do i need to do to resolve this problem?
*fixed* - wipe data from settings > privacy menu -- somehow knocked it back into gear. Thanks to busta for the answer

Here is the story. I've got my Vibrant as a replacement for my older one two weeks ago. The old one had a problem with Home button responsiveness and at the end I decided to go with replacement. After some testing with identical firmware (freshly flashed) on both phones I found that the the new one boots much faster - around 12 sec difference (the time my audio widget is fully loaded) and overall I was very happy, until today when my phone screen turn of during some work on the browser. The buttons light was on and the screen became black.
1. I did battery pool. First boot was very slow. Force close for some koush process ( probably clockworkmod) came out .
2. I did 'wipe cache' - multiple force close after that
3. Factory reset - it was somewhat booting very slow and I decided to go with Odin.
I was able to put the phone in downloading mode and flash JFD with repartitioning. Everything looked ok during the process, but after reboot it plays Tmobile animation, startup sound, shows the letter S and stucks there.
I am able to get in stock 2e recovery. If I choose reinstall packages it goes to clockworkmod recovery (I thought clockworkrecovery should disappear after flashing with odin, but it is there) I tried flashing different usb ports - no difference.
The phone was with stock JI6 firmware, rooted with OCLF, ROM Manager with clockworkmod installed. Was working fine till today. I didn't experience any lag issues and neither of the lag fixes were installed or tested.
I played with clockworkmod recovery options format: system, data, sdcard.
I was not able to format boot - some error.
I am not a very good writer... sorry if somebody gets upset.
I will appreciate any help or idea.
Thanks
Fix for your problem
Sounds like some of the rom is either corrupted or the factory reset did not have J i-6 in it.......not enough info. Personal message me and i ll help you fix this problem.
I have flashed Super Clean to my Fascinate and set everything up how I want it. Then used Titanium Backup to save it. However when I power the phone off and back on it goes back to the way things were set up before... is that normal/ I assumed it would stay the way I set it until I flashed another rom?
I have seen that on my phone and have seen lots of people in the forums having the same issues. I have done so much work on my phone the passed couple of days I couldn't tell you exactly what fixed mine, but here is what I believe did it.
Settings > Privacy > Factory Reset
After restart go into clockwork recovery mode. Wipe cache partition and wipe data/factory reset.
Start up phone. Setup one thing. Wireless, email, whatever as a test. Power down. Start up. Did it save? If so then add a few more things and power down again. If its still saving you are golden.
Nothing pisses me off more then setting everything up and finding out that it still is not saving settings.
i just flashed bionix 2.2.1 over nero v5. everything was working well with no problems. i was looking through the settings and decided to change the lockscreen to the rotary one. after changing the lockscreen the phone now isnt able to load the rotary lockscreen and is constantly rebooting. it goes from the team whiskey load screen strait to the homepage and totally skips the lockscreeen. but it never stays on long enough to change the settings or reboot in clockwork or recovery. how can i fix this?
Not sure what the rotary lockscreen does, but i had a similar problem, reflash then try again. if you get the same problem, then reflash and abandon the rotary lockscreen use. For whatever reason the rotary would work on my wife's phone but not mine no matter what i did and out phones a built 7 days apart both running exact same setup........ go figure
If you can get into recovery (via hw buttons), try wiping delvik cache and fix permissions. Not sure if it will work or not but worth a shot.
thanks guys for trying to help. but the phone would never let me change anything because after it would reboot it would lock up and reboot again over and over. luckily i could get into download mode and just odin back to stock.
you can delete this thread mods
So i got my g2 to get somehow the JB buttons back (im using cloudyG3 btw)
Did this with G2 Xposed.
But i could not edit the menu and back keys position, so i unistalled it. But buttons are still same and kitkat aint back... and app crashes when going into frontal buttons on settings...
So far tried to replace them again in the way i want, but gravitybox isnt doing anything either...
i want back button on the right and menu button on the left...( Samsung way)
Any help on fixing this buttons would be highly apreciated, as having them reverse is terribly annoying.
If anyone need any more details on my phone, please ask.

PD: Got nandroid backup, tried restoring only system (dont wanna go 1 week back in stufd) but no results.
Hello. I sort of had this issue yesterday, and the reason why it happened for me, was that my phone didn't wipe EVERYTHING as it was supposed to do when I wiped data+system+cache+dalvik, it just counted CloudyG3 as an "upgrade". That unfortunately means that your CloudyG3 was dirty flashed and that's why it doesn't work.
What I would recommend you to do is to backup all your apps only, and return to stock. then towelroot+autorec and start all over again.
I did something else, but I wouldn't recommend it since my phone stuck at bootlogo and kept turning itself on. I formatted Data in TWRP (which means internal storage too, don't do this unless you REALLY can't get out), and tried pushing a ROM through ADB (which didn't work because my adb wasn't properly installed), but then restored to stock through download mode.
Hello people,
I've been having serious issues with my phone for the past week. (Literal 7 days)
I noticed that my phone was suddenly freezing and then rebooting (I was running HyperRom at the time),
I didn't think too much about it, and went to install a different ROM in hopes of making it work again.
I downloaded BlackPearl and tried flashing it, but while flashing and on the "extracting to system" phase, it froze.
So I waited a good 30 minutes to make sure it was really frozen, and then force rebooted the phone (vol down + home + power).
After talking to the support team from BlackPearl (thinking it maybe was an issue with the ROM, also one of the admins is super unfriendly and will send strangers to your telegram to spam you if you disagree with them. Harassment? Seriously? Whatever, topic for another time ), they suggested to flash a stock ROM first, to make sure all the bootloader stuff etc works fine.
Went into Odin (3.13.1), loaded latest 8.0.0 firmware with SamFirm, and flashed it.
After flashing, the phone rebooted, a blue screen came up with an Android logo in the middle with rotating arrows and the words "Erasing" beneath it.
After about 10 seconds, the phone froze again.
Tried different Odin version, no luck.
Tried different stock firmware, same sh**.
Tried flashing any custom ROM, same freezes. (^all of the above caused the same freezes at random times)
When I'm in TWRP and not flashing anything, the phone does not freeze at all. That means the freezes are not random, but happen because of the flashing process.
I'm really out of options here, I have no idea how to proceed further, I've been without a working phone for the past week and I really really need it to communicate with my family.
PS: This is not my first time dabbling with custom ROMs, I've done this many times before to many different phones.
I would reaaaaally appreciate any form of help, thanks in advance <3
(and before you say it, no I cannot go to a repair shop to have them look at it, it's too expensive for me )
TWRP > Wipe > Format Data > yes
TWRP > Wipe > Advanced Wipe > System + Data + Dalvik + Cache > Swipe
TWRP > Wipe > Advanced Wipe > DATA > Repair or Change File System > Change File System > EXT2 Swipe > EXT4 Swipe > Reboot Recovery > Do Not Install
this is how I fixed same problem. I flashed new Rom right after. You can flash Stock via Odin too.
this sounds interesting!!! I like it.
Anybody else try this method?
