Hi,
I have some questions I need help with. I would like to upgrade to 2.2 ROM (any stable ROM is ok). I read most of the tutorials and other people's post, but I can't find a simple way to upgrade because of my HBOOT and RADIO version. I'm afraid of bricking my phone. Is there a way I could upgrade my phone without having to change the HBOOT or RADIO version? If not, then is it possible for me to use SuperOneClick to root my phone, then use Radio Switcher to change the RADIO version?

I managed to follow the steps posted in this guide to root it and fix the perfected SPL problem. I installed a custom cooked ROM with Arabic support but had a problem with WiFi not working.
Now here comes the stupid mistake I made (I am a noob I know ). I installed this RUU file. It's Etisalat Official ROM. It has arabic support too but doesn't have google market. Gmail is also not working (WiFi and data services work, but gmail won't sign in).
The problem with that ROM is that the version is that I am back to a perfected SPL again. Only this time my ROM has version 2.56.494.7 which is a higher version than the Sappimg.zip (or Sappimg.nbh) files I used to root the Rogers ROM, so it fails to install. This is why I feel like a big noob installing the Etisalat ROM.
So what I need is a version of sappimg.nbh or sappimg.zip with higher version than 2.56.494.7 that doesn't have a perfected SPL or any help or tips to solve this problem in another way.

I wish to downgrade my radio from 2.22.23.02 back to 2.22.19.26I. Is it just the same process as flashing the radio to upgrade? also is there only one version on of the earlier radio? Here's my Bootloader :

I tried to downgrade my radio from 26.08.04.07_M3 to 26.06.04.14_M but it would'nt let me do it
Everything looks good when I flash it, but after reboot it still says I have the 26.08.04.07_M3 radio?
Any ideas why this happens? Or is'nt it possible to downgrade radios?

i'm tried to flash my Magic SFR 532B) and i've somes questions
i've created goldcard and apply SAPIMG.zip
So my phone is actualy in Android 1.5 version
I want to change the radio, so i download the amonra recovery for G mobile (not H) and this is not running.
So I try with Amonra Recovery H : and this works well....
i dont understand why i must use 32A recovery ti my 32B.
My second question is : if i use the 32A recovery : can i Apply a 32B radio?
Can I apply a 32B Rom
Wich Radio and wich rom must I applies?
I'm french so i think take an french eclair 32B rom bust i want to be shure.

be careful what you do because i bricked my 32B by flashing a 32B Radio 2.xx now i cant go to fastboot and Hboot anymore!

Since I bought my HTC Magic (from Vodafone in Portugal) I updated it to a new official software version which is this:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.76.0009 (SAPPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO 6.35.08.29
However, this is a perfect SPL. Now, I want to root and flash my mobile and I can't. I followed the steps in Rooting the SPL 1.76.0009 thread and got an error.
So, what I was asking is if any of you has any old official update of HTC (the ones which you update just by pressing next a few times on your PC and it does it all for you) that will downgrade my mobile to any previous version so that I could flash it from there.
