Damn it. Called to give my 30 days notice yesterday and when they asked what phone I'd want to stay, I naturally said a Touch HD (since I was going to get one from elsewhere anyway). £15 per month and £15 for the phone? Fantastic thinks I. Phone arrives today and they sent me the Touch 3G instead. Called Orange back and they tell me that as of today they no longer offer the Touch HD - it has been discontinued and will be removed from the online store shortly. Crap
Now I have to return this Touch 3G then call Orange again to get a refund for the postage and the money I paid for the Touch HD. Anyone know where the Touch HD is available on Orange for a reasonable price since Mobiles.co.uk is still out of stock?

Sooooo, pleased i decied to end my contract early and order from phones 4 u as I was going to get an upgrade to the HD from orange at the end of next month.
Blastman, don't know if you needed those minutes, so..
buymobilephones.net is doing a free HD with Dolphin 25 on Orange. 400 mins / unltd texts. 2 Months eve/ wkend HDSPA interenet.
If you plan on using a ton of daytime data, orange is pretty costly mind...
imo, the touch HD is more business consumer based.
iphone is what the masses go for, and thus o2.
anyway, im due to ring orange business tomorrow, so i'll get word if they have discontinued the HD also.
such a shame though. orange just aint been the same since they stoped everyday50

To the OP: surely they have mis-sold you the product and should accept all costs in rectifying their mistake?
Went into Phones4U last week & they told me they didn't carry it. So I ended up getting it from mobilephonesdirect.co.uk, good service but only do it on T-Mobile & Vodafone. £35 for 700 mins, unltd texts & free internet. Next day delivery, good customer after-sales service too.
what would happen if i send my phone in for warrenty ?

I can confirm that this is not true, as I myself work in orange retail, sometimes direct just tell you things so as not to lose too much money.

Besides, they have just released Orange Maps and the Touch HD is one of the main promoted devices for this service.

Give the Carphone Warehouse a call. I have been with Orange for years and when I wanted to upgrade to the Touch Hd at the end of last year, Orange were looking to charge me £100 for the handset.. I don't pay for phones, ever...
So, I told Orange to do one and called CW, they offered me a free Touch HD, unlocked and unbranded, and said I would be able to continue my Orange contract. I was sceptical, but 6 months on and I am still with Orange with the Touch HD. The contract was renewed and I carried on.
The most positive point is I didn't have to pay a penny to upgrade.

Man this is just plain annoying. Rang Orange posing as a new customer and the sales person said they didn't have any Touch HD's and didn't know if or when they would be getting any more in stock.
I guess I'll just give BuyMobilePhones a call and get one from them (once I call Orange *again* for a refund on the phone and postage of the return)..

Contract distance selling laws. Return it in as new condition and tell them you want to cancel it. Not going to be easy to get them to admit to it but it is legally correct so keep hounding them
My sister has just upgraded to the Touch HD yesterday, so i think someone at Orange is telling porkies!
I was kicking myself as i rang orange last week to upgrade but they wanted £195 to upgrade, so i called their bluff and requested the PAC code and thought i would ring back this week to see if they would improve their offer.
But I was told on Thursday the exact same thing by orange that they have discontinued the HD, they told me that will be replaced by the Touch Pro 2 but that it is still been tested and will not be available for another 3 months.
But many thanks to d8smt who mentioned mobile phones direct where i got the HD for free on a tariff of £35 per month on Voda.
I received the phone this morning just waiting for it to fully charge before i start to play with it

They are replacing it mid June with the HTC Touch Pro 2

Went into the Vodaphone store in Taunton today, the assistant was playing with an HD2 as I walked in.They had 3 HD2 in stock but they would only do a 24 month contract.
Rang up new customers number and was told on line and phone would be out of stock until mid December. They said HTC had only sent them part of what they had promised. The lady put me on a priority to call when stock arrived.
18 month contract, free fone, 900 minutes, unlimited landline calls, unlimited texts, unlimited data for £39.18 inc vat
Bummer. I ordered mine from Voda's call centre on Saturday (£30pm, 24 month, phone free) and it came yesterday. Must have been one of the lucky last ones.
Now if only I can get the battery life to improve.
Ordered as an upgrade for my wife last Thursday.
Friday morning received "we are sorry........... and expectin stock in 5-6 work days" email.
This morning received "Dear Customer, ...... We have received unprecedented demand for the HTC HD2 ..... Currently we expect these to arrive early in December........ " email.
Then in the afternoon received a suprise email stating that the item has been dispatched by royal mail special delivery today. It did not have a tracking code, but got the order no and address right. So, hopefully will get it tomorrow.
I did not bother complaning about device availibility because the upgrade deal (online) was on 12 months contract @ £25 per month and £100 for the phone so total cost worked out for £400.
t-Mobile Upgrade frustration
I've been trying to upgrade from a HTC Touch Diamond to the HD2 for a few days as my upgrade date is available now but T-mobile are saying there is no stock, due in Friday, Monday, 27th November etc.
Current cost to stay on Flext 30+W&W and upgrade is £141 - they say to wit awhile until deals become available. Don't want to wait though!
I upgraded from Diamond on Monday was told no stock will have to wait till 1st Dec. From Vodafone
Whoop whoop.... after vodafone stating i'd have to wait till mid december my HD2 is now at home waiting for me....

I signed up with a new 2 year contract with Vodafone Business last Friday, but I was told on Monday that stock would be in on Wednesday. I received a call from their Customer Care team this morning to ask if everything was going OK with my call plan! I explained that I had yet to receive the phone and the gentleman was apologetic and explained that they had a very few units available and that he would get one out to me tomorrow.
My number won't be transferred until Monday but apparently all Vodafone phones are not SIM locked so I'll be able to use it straight away with my existing O2 SIM and at least I won't have to carry two phone with me on Monday!
I'm looking forward to getting this phone, my last upgrade from an O2 Orbit to and Orbit 2 was a bit of a disappointment as there was little speed advantage. The reviews I've so far read seem pretty promising.

For anyone wanting to buy an Aria without contract, the lowest I've seen is at Amazon for $339.99. That's $30-$40 cheaper than other places.

I submitted my order in the beginning of last week, and waited and waited and waited for it to ship. On Friday, I ended up cancelling it and getting the unit at an AT&T store.
My plan is to get this a few days from now (waiting on an Amazon.com gift card). Hopefully they won't jack the price up or run out of stock in the meantime.

They are out of stock or something. Like the other poster above, I ordered last week (on the 21st), still waiting... the delivery date was just delayed again yesterday.

Nope, ordered on the 21st... was just delayed until July 6th... third delay so far. I ordered with the free two day shipping and somehow they upgraded me to one day at no charge... probably due to all my emails asking about the delays.
i waited a few days and ended up cancelling my order. customer service had no answer for why it kept on being delayed.
Hmm... any received the htc aria from amazon yet?
I ordered mine last sunday. It was delayed and wasn't delivered until the following monday. In the end it's here now and I'm pretty happy.

It's only off contract from AT&T, it's not unlocked.
Additionally, the ability to easily unlock the phone varies. Some users report finding unlock codes with no issue, my phone and a few others appear to require extra effort on the part of the unlocker, and thus more money to do so.

I returned mine last month with no problems, not even a restocking fee, after a week of use. Buy it again and return other with the older receipt if they give you problems.

It starts today in Memphis Tn as well. They were handing out a single sheet flyer yesterday. Trying to decide between it and the Captivate.
Can anyone share more info on this? I check BestBuy online weekly ad and see nothing of this sort. Love to get one for my wife too at this price.

Checked ad this morning and nothing in it. Checked ATT phones for sell at Best Buy and on the item page it was $99.99. Called at 8:35 AM and talked to them. They said print out info and bring it in and they would match the price. I just paid $$379.00 for Dell Streak and OtterBox Commuter Friday 10 Dec 2010 and Sunday at 11:30 AM I got $214.00 back. Dell Streak final Cost $99.99 plus Tax. Not a bad deal. Dayton Ohio.

I can confirm price is $99 now. I am in Denver. I purchased mine last tuesday at the 299 price. Today I looked in the ad for this week and it wasnt in there but did show online for $99 and in the store for $99. got a credit as that is Bestbuy's policy

2 years ago on july 30th I got an enV touch. Just a little over a year after, my mom bought a DROID 2 (becuase her contract was up) and it was buy 1 get one free, so I got one too. I was thinking that now on july 30th I should be able to get another upgrade, but the verzon website says I am due for an upgrade the same day my mom is (which is about a year from now). Was my contract changed or renewed somehow just becuase I got a phone from buy one get one free? I cant figure out why Im not eligible for an upgrade yet.
In order to get a Droid 2 for "free" you had to renew your contract for two years.
Verizon is not in the business of giving away phones for free.
Somehow my friend got Verizon to give him a free phone (without contract) during that BOGO promotion. He got the Droid 2 and got an incredible for free. I ended up buying the D2 from him and he started using the inc. I then sold the D2 for an Inc and now we're both happy.
Cool story, I know, my point is just that it is possible to get a BOGO phone without strings attached.
Well if that was the case im willing ti vet soneone lost their job over that. There is no way to get a free phone without contract... I work for them trust me.
