HD Video - Galaxy Tab General

How do i get my Tab to record in 720p Cant find the option in cam settings. I thought I read it was capable of 720p ?

I don't think you can. Maybe when Gingerbread will arrive. Maybe...

I thought it was already doing 720. I see 720 and 480 up in the top left coner and when I hit camcorder icon on the same side it gives me an option for mms and switches it to 320 with 240 under that

1280x720 is 720p

That's 720x480, i.e. 480 lines. Not 720p.

I tried that resolution its not the correct size
is it 600x800?
That's the correct size, but make sure the 960 is the width. The actual 7-pane home screen is 480 with 240 off screen on each side.

Tried this and still can't get things looking right. When I go into the crop screen and hold my finger down, I'm not able to drag the box over more than half the image. Is it just me???

Yeah, 'fraid so. I dont know why they display that crop box when you select an image for the wallpaper, but just put your finger anywhere on the crop box and hold your finger down while dragging the box to encompass the whole image.

Okay I get it now!!!! I guess what wasn't clear to me, was that you need to hold your fingers on two sides at once and push them both outward at the same time (doing the pinch to zoom). That with the right sized wallpaper (960W x 800H) works!!!!
so there is no way to NOT crop the wallpaper?

[Q] Video Player Aspect Ratio

Hi all,
I picked up my Galaxy on Monday although I haven't really had a proper play with it yet as i'm waiting for screen protector and case first
Anyway, one thing I did try out was playing some films. Depending on the resolution of the film some of them look perfect whilst the others looked squeezed together. I remember seeing something similar on the HTC Desire when I tried it out but it had the option to adjust the ratio and make do with top and bottom borders instead.
Is this possible with the Galaxy video player as I can't seem to find an option to change the ratio?
Thanks,
Dazz
When you are playing a file... bring up the play/pause menu by tapping the screen... you'll see a box in the right hand bottom corner of the play bar... tap it to cycle the aspect ratios.

Thanks crabby thats great, I thought it was the stop button

Default video setting of 640x480 won't save as 720p? How do you save these settings?

I have been playing with the WP7 and Focus video settings. It takes some great high def video but for some reason I can't get these settings to save.
You would think they would save as there is a reset to default button but wth.
I set the settings to 720p and high sharpness. I took a video, then returned to the main home screen, then back into the camera and it defaults back...
This is a known bug, found the list in the Windows Phone 7 General forum, pinned.

[Q] picture quality

hi i currently using the android 2.3.2 my question is.....
when was using windows 6.5 i could watch you tube videos in full screen and high quality, now using android 2.3.2 and you tube videos will not open in full an are poor quality although bbc iplayer plays full screen and high quality.
is this a problem for everyone using android on there htc hd2 or is it just me missing something?
I am using HyperdroidGBX v5 which is 2.3.2 though could be cooked differently than whatever you are using. I use the Youtube app v 2.1.6 for to access my youtubes. When in the app hit the middle hard button and select "settings". The first setting is "High quality on mobile", this should be checked to get HQ videos. To get the video in full screen just double tap it or turn your phone on its side. When in full screen you should see a button in the upper right corner of the video that sais HQ. The green light under it should be on if it is HQ and you can press the button to toggle between HQ and SQ.
Anyway, that is how it works for me.
thanks its now in hd still not full screen though iv been in the settings and theres nothing there to set screen size, ive got about 1cm of a black line either side the playing video when in full screen.

Modifiying the camera to high framerate / Fps by default

hi i'm Samsung 900F user
hi there here is a question for a guru:
is there any way to have 1080p at 60 fps default recording and get the screen black while recording? i have to set it manually every time and it reverts back after recording... and of yourse when i switch the screen off (with the power button) it stops recording....
hidden camera programs record at 30 fps which is very bad... stock camera has 60 fps but hidden camera applications doesn't have options to have 60 fps (or i didn't see any program which is capable to do it so)
is there any mod or hidden camera application to do it ?
