trying to get the correct size to make a decent background.
960x800

I tried that resolution its not the correct size
is it 600x800?
That's the correct size, but make sure the 960 is the width. The actual 7-pane home screen is 480 with 240 off screen on each side.

Tried this and still can't get things looking right. When I go into the crop screen and hold my finger down, I'm not able to drag the box over more than half the image. Is it just me???

Yeah, 'fraid so. I dont know why they display that crop box when you select an image for the wallpaper, but just put your finger anywhere on the crop box and hold your finger down while dragging the box to encompass the whole image.

Okay I get it now!!!! I guess what wasn't clear to me, was that you need to hold your fingers on two sides at once and push them both outward at the same time (doing the pinch to zoom). That with the right sized wallpaper (960W x 800H) works!!!!
so there is no way to NOT crop the wallpaper?

I have a custom background image on my windows mobile 6 and it comes in slightly transparent. Its like WM6 lightened it up or something automatically. Is there an option where I can turn this off to make the image show up in its original full color?
Thanks in advance.
Quickest way to do that, in my experience, is to open the image you want in the picture viewer and then select "set as background" (or something like that) from the menu. This gives you the option to set the transparency. If at 0% it will show the full image.
For some strange reason WM always sets the background to half transparent when you use the today screen setup to select a background, making it look very milky and mostly ugly. Don't really know why you can't change the transparency from there.
You could also make your own theme but that might be a little overkill for just a background.
Got it! Thanks!
Ok, Got a quick questions here figured i wouldnt post a new thread, i figured out how to set as background but theres no option to apply, if you hit OK in the top right it nevers sets it as the background, any ideas??
Thanks!

If you view the pic with picture viewer then right softkey for menu, there is a set as background option.
I seen that but when you hit that button it opens you can set the transparency, But then if you Hit OK in the top right corner it does absolutely nothing to change the background..... any ideas

Ive never had that problem. After setting the transperency it always sets it as the background. I would say its file type problem. Are you using a gif or jpeg?
jpeg i can post a screen shot if need be

Instead of hitting the ok in the top right corner, hit ok on the key that says ok underneath the right soft key.
Let me know if that works.
hey Whataya Know it worked haha, Thanks!!!!!!!! I really appreciate it, I shoulda thought of that lol

Wow......never thought someone would mix those up. GOOD CALL. The ok on the top of the screen is basically a X. Always use the menu keys at the bottom.
i figured that but instead of it having a X in the top right this time it was just an ok so i figured it was the apply button but haha i guess not
I should have put a '?' in the title, but I can't edit it.
I want to drag something from the middle homescreen to one of the side screens but don't have any luck.
Any tips?

Try dragging it to the very edge and holding it there.
or if that doesn't work (mine is very picky at times). Delete the short cut from the middle screen. Slide to the screen you want it on, open the app drawer, select and drop on the screen.

It worked, thanks. Just found out I have 5 home screens on Super-D.
I've also noticed that if I can't drag an icon or widget to another screen in portrait mode, I am usually successful by switching to landscape mode. For some reason it makes moving icons and widgets a lot easier.
When I do recordings from my front-facing camera I hold it much like I would when I am using the phone; that is, in an upright position.
Is there an app or an easy way to rotate videos by 90° to the right, so that when I upload to youtube it isn't sideways?
thx!
select the pic you want, click on the options button when edit window is displayed, select "image". then you get the edit stuff you are looking for.

That's for a photo.. no rotate option there for video.
Um.....How about holding the camera correctly? Just like a REAL vid camera, the phone is meant to be held sideways (landscape) to film and snap pics.
I THINK you can rotate them with Windows Movie Maker though, I have done it before.
i can't stand when iphone users upload videos held in portrait mode. it makes me want to rip their phone out of their hands and throw it on the ground.
and yes, you can use windows movie maker to rotate them.
i know how to do a whole screen capture. I am asking if there is some app that can capture any selected part of screen. Like freehand on PC when you press f5 then you can draw a rectangle on your screen and selected part will be copied to clip board where you can paste the clip to a word file.

Well, you could always do a full screenshot and then crop out the part you want.
