[Q Closed] Dust underneath screen - G2 and Desire Z General

Edit: There is already an open discussion on this topic. For further discussion please see Dust nderneath screen~TheRomMistress
Hi guys,
Only had my DZ for a week and suddenly noticed 2 specs of white specs under the screen.
Anyone else noticed this or is it just me
I keep the phone in my pocket during most part of the day without a case/screen protector.

Had the problem, and received a replacement, the new one has the same problem as well, my original post is at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840937&highlight=dust

Digitiser replacement - where is the difficulty

Can I get some input from other users please? I know cognoscenti don't like answering hardware questions on these forums so I thought that I should post this message.
There has been a good deal of discussion on this forum as well as on the Wizard & Hermes ones on digitiser replacement and how impossible it is to get the digitiser off and on again. I myself asked the question to be helpful in a thread where someone complained about a hole developing on his digitiser and of course no one bothered answering.
I have to say that I just replaced the assembly on mine and thought that I would play with the digitiser on the old one after reassembly
What is the big problem? The brown tape is a bit sticky but with a razor blade, the digitiser comes off very easily indeed. There are obvious tabs on the sides which the blade slips under and off it comes? Where is the problem?
On mine, both the digitiser and screen were smashed and I cant really conceive of a 'smashed screen' situation in which the digitiser needs replacement while the screen remains intact: If the knock was enough to smash the digitiser, surely the far more sensitive screen must be smashed as well. But not absolutely. I do actually have one unit with a large dent in the digitiser and which might benefit from a new one at ten buck a pop. More likely though is the fact that after you have replaced a few screens, you will have a few digitisers intact to try this repair. Possibly on the Wizard and Hermes as well?
No one should have much problem with buying a new digitiser and replacing it.

Urgent help required!!!!

Hi guys,i dropped my phone and my screen stopped responding.it was a nasty hit on my HD so i contacted HTC here in Cyprus and they told me that is the screen and its gone!!!They do not cover drops and they are overpriced in changing my screen cause they say that the bezel has to be changed too!
Does anyone know where i can find a fully assembled screen with the bezel so i can do it my self??If not does anyone has any idea how the screen seperates from the bezel along with the digitiizer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Does it have cracks? If not:
My suggestion, Go to another HTC centre and simply say screen is not working. Let them find the cause See what they quote. If it is a micro-crack or something not visible to naked eye they might simply replace it for benefit of doubt under warranty. I had a very trivial fall of my Nokia and I saw that LCD stopped working. No cracks nothing. I went to svc centre and they replaced it. When I asked why it happened they said sometimes LCDs do fail..
Some others may be upset with my suggestion though.. but worth trying. I think they should have given a better prot4ection or more easy replaceability of the glasstop/digitiser.

Xperia X10 Broken LCD Screen

Hello ppl, i broke my lcd screen on my xperia...
i had the phone in the kit bag whilst playing cricket and out of all the places the ball rolled and hit the pocket my phone was in!!! I ran knowing the screen will be peices and it was. The screen is still functioning, im able to view the screen and it is responsive to touch. Its turned out like an iphone with a broken screen if anybodys seen one the outer glass is cracked.
I brought the phone from ebay sim-free, i just want to know if anybody knows where to purchase a replacement screen?
I've searched on ebay but no luck
**** :-/ So Sorry
I can't help, I googled but could not find a replacement screen for X10
Mobile dealers can help i think... GOOD LUCK anyway
dealextreme.com search sony x10, there is a case replacement
May this one work?
It´s only the housing, not the screen.
There's a recently closed listing for an X10 digitizer (white) on ebay. Suggest you keep searching, and grab one as soon as you get the chance.

Broken Screen

Dear all,
anybody already experienced a broken touch screen?
My Leo fell from 50cm to the ground (tiles), just on the edge. The sound it hit the ground already let me knew - bad suprise...
If you have already some experiences with broken screens: Is there a way to repair it? Is it be affordable?
The device itself seems to work as usual. Even in the upper right corner, the sensitivity seems fair. But I fear a breaking screen as already some glassy bits drissel out...
Thx for tipps
TC
i belive its called digitizer on most touch screens.
not sure if HD2 has different technology.
but the LCD screen is separate from the touchscreen part(thats what you broke)
search ebay for HTC HD2 digitizer
heres the ebay link i bought a camera LCD display from them few times

Hey dude,
Check out this thread

I broke my glass on my screen and ordered a new digitizer, stripped it apart, broke the LCD in the process (a common occurrence as the glass/LCD glue is STRONG), ordered a new LCD, repaired and it works.. didn't quite go back together as it started (slight gap in case, buttons don't come through as much as they used to). Now have the problem of the 'bubble wrap' showing on the screen in a few places.
In short, yes it can be done but if you want it doing right get a professional to do it..
Any one else with there own experiences?
heat it up so the glue is soft and comes off easier, between the screen and digitizer.
if you have sun leave it in the sun to get it up to good temperature.
safest way since it will not get too hot where it melts.

[HELP] Cracked Screen

Around December I bought a refurbished Transformer TF300 from Newegg. A couple weeks ago the glass got a crack in it. I didn't drop it or anything like that, but I was traveling and when I got it out of my bag it had a crack on the screen. Shortly after, within the same day, more cracks appeared. I would like to attempt to repair the screen myself. What I am concerned about is, though, is that the tablet won't respond to touch at all. Back when I had an iPhone (don't hate, it was a long time ago) the glass cracked, but it was still responsive as ever. If I replace the glass will it regain touch function, or is that another problem? Also, I have been led to believe that there are multiple versions of the glass to buy; how do I know with one to get? Also, any general tips or guides for doing this would be helpful.
Please read thoroughly:

You will find there some informations regarding LCD/touch replacement.
If you have only Touchscreen damaged then after opening you may see what version of TS you have. It should be on connector tape or on sticker. Then you may seek if any of ebay sellers have it.
