[Q] sprint tab brick frimware? - Galaxy Tab General

please if anyone has anything to help please do so i i need the pit file and the frimware ffor the sprint tab

there is no firmware. what did you do to your tab?

i try the epic one click root now it boots in a loop

can you wipe data?

No is there anything I can do

you can't get into recovery at all? hit the power button while holding vol+up

It won't let me that's why I need thefirmware but I can't find it anywhere

Can I use eur firmware to get it aleast running again

No that will permanently brick it. I dont see why you can't get into recovery.. you always can if it bootloops. When it won't even start up is when your in trouble.

This is wha it does it boot says samsung than turns off and trys to reboot the only way for me to stop it is to put it download mode and and the power key it work go to recovery because the one method I used had clockworkmod and I think that what's cause all the trouble idk what do you think

dont understand what ur trying to say. it doesnt make sense

What I get out of it is he tried to use a one click root that had clockworkmod in it.Which was a very dumb thing to do flashing stuff from another phone it always ends badly.

Ok yea I tryied the one click root with clockworkmod for the epic is there any way to fix this its still is able to go in to download mode some I bevlive I can if I have the right firmware

Listen to me very carefully.
There is no firmware available for the Sprint Tablet. Do not flash any other firmware. If you can't get into recovery mode by holding the power button and vol-up at the same time, then you are screwed.

Ok but if and when sprint release the firmware it will be possiable to reflash the firmware to get the tab working again?

Technically if you had a .tar stock ROM for Sprint you could restore everything... but there's no telling when that will be available.

Can you get adb to work ?
Plug the phone in and try to use adb, if you can there might be hope.

he cant get adb as it doesnt get past the samsung logo. those firmwares you get on odin are actually LEAKED from sprint.. you're not going to be able to get them no matter who you talk to.

Is there a way to unlock hardware buttons?

I know many of us had problem with the new hardware locked vibrants and we ended up with bricked phones. Well at-least i did. I was just wondering since i am getting a new one i dont want to make the same mistake again. Is there a way to enable the buttons again?
No.
But I have a hardware locked phone but /adb reboot download/ and
/adb reboot recovery/ work for me.
i think tmobile will give you a new phone if you cant get into recovery cause if your phone messes up and you call customer service they tell you to go to recovery and if you cant its considered software malfunction or something idk but check it out this is what ive heard on the forum.

well check if you can get to recovery and dl mode before attempting anything and if you can call and say you cant get into recovery and they will send another and you can tell them to test it and make sure you can get into recovery and they will or should

Tab is Fu***d

So i was flashing the firmware to use the phone on the tab and while doing it the install failed. the tab cut off and will not come back on at all. no download mode nothing...anything can help. wont connect to odin either. any suggestions
Not come back on at all ?
Contact your service center then
Oh one thing...
When something like this happened, people call it "Bricked" not "Fu***d".

Do you get any lights whatsoever when it's plugged in?
Also, have you tried leaving it on charge for a while in the mains? Generally, when ODIN fails, the phone/tab allows you to get back into download mode, so this is new to me.
Was it flashing the radio (modem.bin) at the time, out of interest?

No modem only the .tar and .pit files. i had flashed my galaxy s plenty of times with no problems. i left it charging tonight while im at work to see if that will do anything but i get no lights or anything. ive seen that some ppl get the pc to device screen but i dont get that either. but just wanted to try some things before shipping it to samsung only bc im in iraq and shipping takes forever.
Do U get anything when plugging the tab via USB to your computer ? And I do not mean Odin, I am just saying if the computer sees the USB connection.
Also, have you tried to press the POWER button and tap the screen at the same time ?

Nope the computer doesn't recognize it either. i get nothing at all..no i haven't tried that ...what exactly will that do?
If I bricked my Tab, I too would describe it as F***ED! But even with my moderate modding experience, Im not ready to do the phone mod. Just seems to me like too much risk.
Good luck with your Tab!

well i figured this would be an appropriate place to ask this type of ? as other ppl do. due to the fact that i was installing firmware from this section of the forums i figured i would ask the developers that read and write here.
anyways...i called samsung and told them idk why it wont cut on and they said to call it a power issue. so im going to send it to them to see if they can tell what i did..hopefully not. but we will see.

Desperately need cwm touch screenshots

Hey guys,
Just had the fantastic AMOLED breaking symptom of the Galaxy S4. I need to restore to factory TouchWiz so I can go in and get a replacement phone (I had rooted and flashed stock Android and am afraid they'll figure this out and refuse to give me a new phone despite the physical damage) so I desperately need screenshots/photos of the CWM Touch 6.0.3.2 options to restore a backup (the only one I have on the phone).
If there's any other way to do this please let me know.
Beyond that, since the screen appears to be getting progressively worse to the point where I just can't install anything, is there any way I can remove any evidence of root/flashing from the file system just in case?
Please help!
Thank you!

Honestly I'm even having trouble booting into recovery mode because I can't tell when the prompts are to let go of the power button, etc. Can't see a thing.
Any advice?
The wireless company has already agreed to ship me a new device and a return label with which I can return the old one (so I'll get my new phone before having to return the old one) but I still want to do this out of safety and respect.
Hate to be the one to tell u but as far as i know (anyone correct me if im wrong) everytime u flash a rom (dont know if rooting counts) its recorded on ur phone.u can undo this with triangle away, wich can be found at the same site where autoroot is.

Well, they're sending me the new one before taking the old one back, so I think it'll be okay. Plus they're mostly concerned with the broken screen; it's not a bricked device.

MF3 = motochopper does not work. You would need to root using this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2387577
NOTE: You cannot unroot once you do it. If you mess up your phone with root, there is likely no way to fix it. There is no possibility of installing a custom recovery, even after you have root...and so you can't flash any ROMs either. Know the risks and issues before you proceed and make sure root is THAT important to you.
Since you are on MF3 there is also no way to downgrade to previous firmware, you are stuck with the above restrictions until someone figures out a new exploit...and no ETA on that.

I hate to say it, but because your on mf3 and you tried to use causal, you've borked your phone. Afaik there is not currently away to recover it. You have to wait until if or when an odin flashable firmware comes out. You could try jtag but I don't think that even works. As a last resort try kies emergency recovery.

I seriously doubt he got root.
It sounds more like he got it to boot (misspelled words).
No recovery and no way to factory reset. Sad.
Will all these folks be borked forever? On that note, I discovered an automated text survey after talking to AT&T support on the phone to light up a new SIM for a different handset. I gave high marks for the person's help, and low marks on AT&T in general, and in the last survey screen where you supply your comment, I told them what I thought of them locking the bootloader on the Samsung-SGH-I337.
The experience was not unlike wetting myself while wearing a dark suit, it gave me a warm feeling and hardly anyone will notice.

Goomanager stuck

Hello I just go my S4 today. I downloaded goomanager because I wanted to install TWRP. It did not work. Now when I try to reset back to factory settings I keep getting a screen that says downloading do not turn off target. How can I fix this and get it back to the normal recovery mode?
i have no idea what carrier or device (i337 / i337m) you have.
when you got your device did you check in settings to see what build number you were running and then check out the material on xda before proceeding? there's ways of doing things that can save you headaches if you browse and read first. cheers
Dude, you pretty much hosed your new phone by not doing your home work before messing with it. I'm sure you're on mf3 firmware. Your best hope is to get it re-flashed at a bestbuy with the Samsung experience. You'll have some explaining to do! Good luck!

You can probably get it to boot by pushing vol down when it goes to download mode. But your recovery is messed up now.
To the OP
I have the same issue. I manage to reboot the phone by turning it off, holding the power and volume down buttons, then when it asks if I'm sure I want to install a custom ROM, I hot cancel (volume down) and it reboots like normal.
Right now, I'm just trying to get mine back into ecovery so I can install CM

You're not going to be able to get it into recovery. Bestbuy is your best solution. Or wait until if and when an odin flashable firmware is available.
Im getting out of it that way too. But if I ever want to update or anything this will stop me i think. I can use it for now but I really want to fix it. nothing worse than having a phone for an hour and ****ing it up.

No, it has to be mf3 firmware and it's not currently available. Trying to flash an earlier firmware won't work. There is a qfuse in the phone's circuitry that is blown when mf3 is on the phone which won't let you downgrade.
Edit, I feel sorry for you man, messing up your phone in the first hour. You're not the only one. Here is what others have done. Read it all it might help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45359306

Sorry to say, but you'll be wasting your time. You'll find that there have been many, many people in the same boat for months now and the only current solution is if you can get bestbuy to re-flash it. They and att are the only ones who have the firmware available.

Hey... I jacked up my phone installing a custom recovery with GooManager too. It isn't for our phone. To get back to Android from DL mode just do power button+vol up+home and it will send ya back. Take it to Best Buy and say Kies broke your phone. You were trying to run an update and it messed it up. They can fix it for ya. Obviously you're rooted so just delete Superuser.apk and delete all root apps. Just in case. And don't be a derp and tell them the phone was rooted... Good Luck.
(Go back and hopefully they won't remember you.)
