Problem with uploading to Picasa - Epic 4G General

I made the mistake of trying to upload 2 gigs of pictures to picasa and its destroying my battery and id like to cancel these uploads but it only gives me the option to cancel single downloads or pause all. Id like to cancel the entire operation... is there a way to do this?

[Q] How's the quality of you contact pic ??

Just wondering since my contact pics are fuzzy,(taken with a 14mp cam cropped on phone sent thru email) how is everybody's else fairing
Yeah, they get down-sized. I don't know how small, but it sucks.

I personally would prefer fuzzy pictures as opposed to a longer delay when opening the contacts app. I am sure they do it to make it faster.
This is not a problem with the Vibrant.
It is something that is inherent to Android.
Agreed. This is something I've noticed across all the android phones I've played with. Even if you upload the contact pictures online they are cropped and get a fuzzy effect.

It's not even specific to Android, it's from Google Contacts. I upload most of my pics there, and they get jacked then.

Thanks for the feedback it's good to know I'm not alone
speaking of Contacts, how to
when viewing my contacts (part of the OS), I clicked on the Updates top menu and it gave suggested links for other contacts. I made the mistake of linking that persons contact page with the place they work at and now they can only be found under the company name contact. Researching as to how to undo this link has come up with nothing. WTF? You can not un-link a contact once its linked?
Open the contact and hit menu. There are all the link and default options

I tried it out and noticed the same issue. I can't post links yet, so I'll copy paste something I found on google that fixed it
This worked for me on a HTC Desire HD:
1) Delete existing credentials via the process/application manager:
Settings - Applications - YouTube - Clear Data
2) Reset credentials from the YouTube application:
YouTube - my channel - instead of choosing the already configured "gmail.com" account select "add account" and then just enter the username without the "@gmail.com". Password is the same.
After doing this, I just selected the @youtube.com account instead of the @gmail.com at the upload screen and it worked fine.
Oh crap. I have the same issue. happen in youtube and picasa. wtf!!!

seriously is it a carrier issue? used to be with AT&T and this stuff happened all the time because of signal issues and that is why we had to leave them. think this might be at least part of the problem for you? I wonder.....
can't be at$t because ill try doing it over wifi and still the same ****

Apparently this is a bug in Android, and should be fixed in Gingerbread, which is a small consolation...

I've had this problem ever since I got my atrix back in march. Unless the file is 9MB all uploads fail for me. I've seen the following, all on wifi:
the 1GB message for files that are 200MB
for files between 20MB and 100MB the upload will go for 5 min or so, then crap out and retry, go for 5 min, crap out and retry etc etc. After 5 retries I just cancel the upload. A 9MB file will upload fine, but that's a 4 sec video...pretty useless.
it's a youtube app issue, I can upload the same video file to dropbox just fine.
It works mostly, sometimes it does the retry thing but files under 100 mb work for me.

Picture on the cloud

Guys I was wondering if with the Nexus 4 it is possible to have my personal pictures on the cloud (through Picasa or something like this). I have 7 Gigs that i occasionally browse on my mobile so, to save some space, it would be nice to have them on the cloud.
Most important part is to browse them with the default gallery application. I know it would be possible to use the cloud provider's app but I prefer using default gallery.
Hope there is a way. Ty all for you support.

I have read about that option. But using that all my pictures will be watchable on my google+ profile right?
BTW it should put picture taken with my N4 in google+ account.
I'm looking on a way to have available(on the cloud) the pictures that i have on my PC without using my N4 gigs.

Instant upload message.

Hi,
Does anybody know how I get rid of this message when taking a photo.
View attachment 2046836
For the sake of search engines it says:
The first time the InstantUpload is running you must be online, so the target folder can successfully created by the upload process
I don't know if this is a cyanogenmod feature; if it is I can't find a setting for it, or something to do with Dropbox or Google+. I don't think it is either of them as I have never seen the message on the stock Rom.
Thanks for any help.
Jay.

Instant upload is a feature of Google+ , you can turn it off and will not get such messages. Instant upload uploads any photo you capture to Google+ and pops in a folder in your gallery, since you are not online, it tries to upload photo but fails.
Go to Google+ settings and turn off auto backup option in camera and photos if you are on latest version otherwise it will be listed as instant upload in settings and turn it off
Instant upload was recently renamed to auto backup
