Maybe you should take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826507

Go to settings and choose what you want to sync. As if you havent changed anything already it will sync everything and it will lag. Also enable debugging in settings.

I found earlier that it seems some widgets, maybe all are included as part of the sense process, try removing them one by one and see if that helps

Thank-you all i've solved the probleme, that was the SetCPU's widget took all my CPU.

Why's task killers bad? Shall you just leave the apps open?
Thanks

Hello Fprick
Because of the ram-managment. If you kill unused task, they will need more time to start again (mail, musikplayer, internet, etc.). The worst case could be a systemcrash. If you google around, you'll find very detailed explanations. I used it also, but it made my wildfire slower.

I use ATK and have no problems at all NONE, just don't end everything just make sure your only ending games and other apps you don't want open all the time I use it mostly for gmail as when using Market it reseeds all the gmail crap and sync when I have sync its self disabled it does this on any app that needs a gmail login I guess its just one of them functions they felt would make the lifes easyer and it does but after that I want it gone when I am done with my task, I leave things like Clock and Messages always running tho as the Message app does tack a wee longer to run if it was ended lol.
Hi all
Does any one solve this problem...all of that happens with my phone and I perform factory reset and it,s lags again I dont know what to do,any one halp please?????

It sounds like the phone its self is faulty or the rom needs to be reinstalled, I have been using my Wildfire for sometime not and it works great no lag at all, the phone as problem with some games and thats cos its not got a dedicated greathic part from that its great phone day to day tasks are better then the desire as the sences app as been optermized where the desire version as not been.
I never seen any lag in this phone, when you donload a app just make sure it does not say its a hog but I am a app junky and download all the time still no problems.
i have a wildfire and the lag is horrible. htc sense kept crashing so i started using ADW, it doesn't crash as much but it's still really laggy at times, any way to fix it?
ps, i've been using task killer but after seeing these comments i've stopped...

you can use launcher pro or golauncher.
both verry stable and fast.
launcher pro is just a bit faster and no lags.
Do NOT use task killers! My wildfire was laggy and unstable, until I stopped using TaskPanel.

[Q] General Optimization of Froyo

I'm looking for some sound advice on how to keep Froyo running peppy on my phone. I just got the Froyo update and want to optimize it.
These are some basics for keeping android running fast:
Turning off animations
Using a task killer or not using a task killer (doesn't seem to make a big difference)
Keeping unnecessary apps to a minimum
Turning off live wallpapers.
Reviewing how your phone syncs
Here's my questions
I never cleared or cleaned my SD card when I installed Froyo. Should I do that?
How often should I power off and power on the phone. Any suggestions?
Anything else I can do to keep the phone snappy?
My phone:
HTC Legend (not rooted)
Sense UI
Android 2.2 Froyo
Install custom Rom + kernel set CPU.

yeah, uh, how do we do that?
This is so nooby, I found it before but I tried and tried and tried and seem to can't find it no longer.
How do you enable animations? It got disabled somehow. I'm just wondering, don't plan to turn them on, but unanswered questions really freaking bug me, especially when i know I've solved the answer before.

Froyo lagginess - any ideas?

I haven't used the legend for a few months and loaded froyo onto it yesterday as my other phone is out of action. I was under the impression froyo was susposed to speed things up, but scrolling in the browser is still unresponsive and slow. a friend and i were trying to load up film session times - he, obviously, on an iphone - and it was embarrassing how much my webpage jumped around on a fairly graphics lite website.
I know a lot of you guys love this phone, but could I get some honest opinions: is this actually as good as it gets? Am I missing something? The phone is about as stock as it comes with the Vodafone AU froyo rom installed yesterday after a factory reset and the only apps being angry birds and astro.
Thanks,
zuka
turn on usb debugging in settings->applications->development
what does turning on USB debugging do for performance?
cheers
God knows, bu it seems to work. You could also try rooting and installing BlaY0's ROM, it's nice and quick.
USB debugging helps me ) really... It's very strange.
And i tried to send message to support (About laggs without this opt.). They ask me only one question - "What type of SD card you used" and that's all
That's really strange... because when i activate USB Debugging, my phone lag as hell ><"
Blayo Rom is really good, but idk why, since 0.6, battery draining is faster than 0.5
Sorry, I'm out at the moment and can't really search for this. Is the blayo rom stock and sense based?
Cheers for all your help guys

In my case, I'm experiencing lagginess when I switch on wifi. This is a bit annoying because I use to have wifi on all the time, when I unlock the phone it tries to reconnect and the phone becomes laggy from the first 15 seconds more or less. It's only me?

No offense but did you try search button instead of creating a new topic?
Try Advanced Ace Hack Kit AAHK:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1259821
It's a really one-click solution, worked great for me.
Make sure you read and understand the documentation.
Good luck!

Sorry for inconvenience you and my instant confusion, my english teacher
Hi there, I'm quite new but I've done my homework
I'm rooted, tried CM7.1 and currently running ICS on my DHD
P.S. Advanced ace hack is what made my phone work ;} ..unfortunately it was a pain in the ass because when I receive the device I update it to android 2.3.5(that was stupid heh) and that was a mistake, so I needed to go back to the 2.3.3 and then root my phone. Any questions send me a PM
Do the ace kit matey easiest way...trust

Hi, i'm new also. I Have had my DHD for a couple of weeks now and have it rooted and running RunnyDroid v3.0 with sense 3.5. This is an amazing rom and i would recommend it because everything works and it has beats audio on it.
AAHK is the way to go.

GPS issues with RD-MIUI 2.1.20 (2.3.7)
I recently rooted my phone and tried a few custom roms. RD-MIUI 2.1.20 (2.3.7) seems to be a stable and simple rom for usage. However, I am seeing GPS issues, like:
1. Maps shows good approximate location if GPS is off but with GPS on, it either never locks or locks to a wrong location (sometimes wrong by thousands of miles)
2. Using the GPS status app, I could see that it finds 4-5 satellites but never locks on (the GPS icon keeps blinking).
I gather that this is a known issue and have found posts on the internet claiming a fix - but before trying anything I wanted to check here.
Am I missing some steps? Is this normal after a clean wipe? Should do something to verify that my GPS/A-GPS settings are correct?
I know that the hardware is fine because it works with other roms. Any help is highly appreciated.
Welcome to all noobies. Hope you enjoy the world of flashing ROMs, lots of goodness from many amazing devs, make sure to thank them with the 'thanks' button!

[Tip] Improve multi-tasking a lot.

Hello everyone, I am sharing something that worked for me.
This is for rooted users only.
I had noticed that multi-tasking was not all too great on the S3 at times, if I had to switch back to a heavy game after replying to a message for example I would have to reload the whole game and not be able to just resume playing, similarily I would have to reload pages in Dolphin browser after returning to it if I had switched to something else.
Today I rooted my phone, was playing around with Vm Heapsizes but I ended up just restoring the default value until I tried out this application called
"Ram Manager Pro" on the Playstore.
There is a setting within the app called "Hard Multitasking" using this I am able to switch between all of my tasks flawlessly (So far!) I switched between games and heavy browser pages, and nothing has been closed by itself, I was able to resume gaming right away and there were no page refreshes with the browser!
Also Check the option "keep Launcher in memory" to help prevent touchwiz redraws!
Also I am sure this has been said before, but toning down the animations or switching them off in developer options makes the phone snappier, and so does unchecking the ripple effect for the lock screen,
Hope I have helped, I am infinitely more pleased with my phone now.:good:
more of an advertisement for RAM Manager than a tip. Nevertheless i will try it out !

Not advertising, noob here.
You can check out my post/thread history and you would know I'm a guy with a new S3 who has problems with HDMI out and had a lot of questions about rooting and ROMs lol, However I will try to find out what Vm heapsize the program uses so that we can manually set it ourselves without having to buy the program.
Any ideas on how to do so?
