Like the title said, going to android is simple with haret.exe. But i can't find anything where it is explained how to get back the way i came? e.g. how to get back from android to wm6.5? Is restart the only way?
yes just restart ur device
gotta flash back to a stock rom. i think its gotta be bootloader method as well
Yes, if you are running an SD android build you will need to restart to get back to WinMo 6.5.
If you are, which I do not think you are (e.g. haret.exe), running a NAND android build then you will need to flash a WinMo ROM.

When you load haret.exe it removes windows mobile from RAM and boots your phone into Android kernel. WinMo isnt running in background under Android, Android is running on its own on your hardware.
To get back to windows mobile you need to reboot your phone.
ok thanks for that, i htought so. It's a shame that one can switch to android without rebooting but not the other way around. (or is firing haret.exe a sort of reboot to android?)
It'll be exactly the same
Haret stops WM and boot Android from Nand.
If you want a soft which stops Android and boot WM... you have it. It's the long press "end call".
You can find widget to reboot your phone under Android. Change the name of the widget/shortcut to "Haret" and your done
No need to develop a soft... it's included in the phone from the moment you buy it.
When im running wp7 everything is running smoothly but when i boot into android the lockscreen wont unlock. I'll have to reboot at least ten times or so before it recognizes my fingers...please help
Are you trying to use an old data.img?
Have you backed it up before flashing WP7?
If so allow android to create a new one and see how it goes.
new image...what else could it be?
people often put the old data.img file from the previous build into the Android folder to save reloading apps etc.
What builds are you using?
Are both partitions set to primary?
Is this your first time dual booting?
but what would cause the lock screen in android not to unlock. always ran into the same problem when i dual booted
Sorry Blakphoenix, but this might be the wrong Forum for this question.
You may want to try posting in your SD ROM build thread.
Good luck
hello I'm a new noob and i just want some help =)
I have been installing Android 2.3.3 nand and flashing cyanogenmod on my HTC HD2 for fist time since winmo 6.5 (I've been following a guide that i will post in the comments), but i don't like the cyanogenmod, and will try an other rom. The problem is that every time i try to install the new rom, and came to that part where it should boot in to the magldr, the magldr just boot me in to my old android 2.3.3. does anyone know how i can install the new rom? THANKS
simply the problem is that i don't know how to boot in to magldr after installing android nand. Because every time i boot my device it boot with the magldr in to my android 2.3.3.
I've been seaching everywhere but I just can't find the ansawer.
this is the guide I've been using youtube.com /watch?v=57Gyl9BtjlU I'm surry but i can't post links.
It sounds like when you switch on you are not holding the button down, hold it down until you get past the loading screen & it gets into the magldr menu.
Thank you very much
it always seems like we overlook the small things. i wrote myself a little cheat sheet of the steps to do intill i got use to it, i found that very helpful.
dont forget to wipe data/cache/delvic each time you flash a new rom.
I know but thanks anyway
Hello everyone,
I bought an HTC HD2 a few days ago, (not a new one) And it was installed with UltimateDroid, I don't really like this version, and Sense doesn't work on it, so I was wondering if I can delete it, and how.
And if I delete it, Will my phone automatically run Windows mobile?
I'm new to this and this is my first time with android and htc, So I don't know anything about it.
Hope someone can help..
You have to flash a new rom using AD Recovery Tool
Easiest thing for you to do would be to start from scratch or follow this guide. You shouldn't need to do step 1 and you will already have the prerequisites. This is for Android, not WinMo.
For WinMo, download a ROM and flash it from bootloader. See the Windows Mobile dev stickies for detailed instructions (you will be able to ignore the HSPL part.)

What do you want in stead of UltimateDroid?
Android with sense, or WM6.5?
We need to know this in order to give you proper help.
I personally recommend Android, WM6.5 is a dying OS...

Dual boot is possible, WinMo on NAND, Android from SD, you can even have Ubuntu Linux on SD at the same time for triple boot.
To wipe data if you plan on going back to Windows Mobile on NAND, just flash a Windows Mobile ROM at the tri-color bootloader screen (boot the device up while holding the vol - key)
If you have Android on NAND, and want to keep Android but just want to wipe data, there's an option for that in CWM Recovery.
If you have WinMo on NAND, and just want to do a data wipe/factory reset, power on while holding both volume keys and follow the on-screen prompt
If you want to format your NAND memory, there is a tool called task 29, but it's not necessary.
If you're asking whether you can run both Windows Mobile and Android from NAND, no. It's one or the other

Sorry for the late reply, I want Android with sense! I have no experience with flashing roms etc. Never done anything like it before.
OK really first do you have magLDR or cLK ... when you turn on phone does it immediately go to boot screen or do you see some running script followed by 1,2,3,4,5,6 ... go go go!
if you have go go go the simply go to the Dev forums find a rom with (magLDR) in the title and follow instructions. they almost have a link to the best recovery to use with their rom.
if you boot straight up like a native android, or you can charge your phone when its turned off you have cLK ... to the dev forums and look for (cLK) in title and again follow instructions and get to it.

It says the 1,2,3,4,5,6.. go go go! thing, but I can also choose to go to boot screen, which gives me all kinds of numbers with flash rom and stuff.
But thanks, I'll have a look!
I'm trying to dual-boot android on my focus but MAGLDR won't open to the main menu just gets stuck in "CMD" mode... help!
Do you have a cook rom android and instruction to install for focus?
no not yet but i am trying to figure out if any cooked ROM will work since im gonna install it to an SD card ... but first i need to get MAGLDR working to even try
Good to see some developments going on for porting android to focus.
You can tweet cotulla directly.
He will be able to help you i guess.
expecting to see your rom come live soon
