[Solved]Running cabs at customization? - Windows Mobile

I'm using osKitchen zero. How can I run cabs during customization and modify the customization process in general?
Thanks!
Smith
Solved: add
"Cab: \Windows\Name_of_cab.cab" to config_operator.txt

Creating customization CABs. how?

I've seen customization CABs out there (from ExtROMs) which configure GPR and MMS settings (and a few others also change my spash screens).
I would like to create these customizations for Greek carriers since XDA-Devs doesn't have the greek qtek ExtROMs and ROMs
How do I do this ? :-/

Kitchen for 9xx based on my rom 2.4

This kitchen was created by Keyx, I will join the archives of the 9xx.
OEM: 1.01.01
XIP: 5.2.21921
SYS: 5.2.21921

Thanks a lot.... and thanks to keyx too!!!
Thank you both very very much.
I am very new to this, and from the looks of it, most of the things I will change will be in the OEM folder, correct?
Also, I wish to make PureBlack2 my default theme. I was able to figure out how to extract the CAB using MSCEInf. But why is your default theme in the Themes_DPI_96 folder and not the Themes folder?

Here is WM6.5 packages list: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4268166&postcount=5
You can find which ones are required and which ones are optional. Also, if you use Ondraster kitchen it shows these in it's list.
And finally, if you have more questions and need to know more details feel free to submit them.

I have some queries, since this thread is related to removal of modules, I am not wasting another thread :
1. I do not need Titanium, will it cause any problem (stability related), if I delete Bronze, bronzeNonEA and CHome from Sys?
2. I have removed LockScreen, LockScreenNonEA (SYS), LockScreenAppLauncher, PACKAGE_MEGA_LockScreenAppLauncher_Default_Skin (EXT Folder). But still Windows Default is an option in the Settings->Lock drop down list box, any way to remove it?
3. In Ervius Kitchen what is OS ID (0x400 it takes as default for Mega) and Chunk (64) ?
BTW I am using osKitchen and cooking for HTC Mega T3320.
Please revert back if possible
1.- Its ok to remove that pkgs to get rid of titanium... That will cause you... gain 3MBRAM more.
2.- Yes to get rid of the lock screen you will have almost 2 more MB RAM free for your rom... and the default windows mobile WM5 lock screen... cant be disabled...
3.- I always have this question so i cant answer you.

Adding HTC Sense to Custom Rom

Hi cookers!
I'm looking for a tutorial on how to add Sense to roms I've cooked.........
Is there in the forum or somewhere out there some kind of instructions?
Thanks a lot!!!
Hi,
Welcome to Chefs Central
Could you tell for what device you are cooking?
It's requested in the 'Welcome to chefs Central' anouncement here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=612
It's important because if people don't know what resolution your device is it's impossible to give you the correct answer.
Also some info about which kitchen you are using would help a lot.

Sorry
I'm cooking for the Xperia X1 with Ervius VK....... but I'm just trying the OSKitchen right now....
I'm trying to add Sense 2.5 to my roms (WM 6.5.5 build 23563 or 23568)
Allright so that's a wvga device, thank you
Do you know how to dump a rom?
If so dump the rom which contains the Manila you want to cook in.
After dumping search in dump for initflashfiles.dat and open this file with a text editor.
Search for all Manila entries and copy them in a new .txt document.
Save this document as app.dat to a location you remember.
Next copy all Manila packages into your kitchen.
app.dat you can copy to the Core package of Manila
Done

Very simple!! I'll try! Thanks a lot!
Ok man, offcourse some other packages are depended too but this is a good start.
Run through all the Manila entries of the corresponding packages in the app.dat you create and don't forget to add them all.
After that you can cook and check how everything works.
Probably you need to update a lot more packages but that's a case of trial and effort.
Other packages you probably need are:
StartIconLoader
Settings_Improvement
Contact_Utility_Engine
HTCFramework
Menu_Enhancement
Well that's just quesing, you need to find out yourself.
Before you start make a backup of your kitchen and then start updating the packages step by step and test.
A reminder, all the packages you add extra in your kitchen in most cases also have initflashfiles.dat entries, don't forget to check that.
You can do the same with them by placing a app.dat file in the package or adding the line to initflashfiles.dat in your kitchen.

Anybody knows if latest Manila files are the same for all devices?
If aren't the same which would be the best choice to port it to X1?

Most about SYS packages please see the post linked by #2.
Remeber when you remove AUTOUPDATE please leave packageinfo.dll in ROM.
Footcam is related to Manila Footprints, please use the version correspondent to your phone. GMM is Google Maps. Project Defaults are misc files such as ringtones, wallpapers, icons, rearranging Start Menu, etc.
The .Net files in the newest SYS packages is already the newest. Forget about 3.7.
