[Q] Disappearing Shortcuts on Home Screen - Galaxy Tab General

I am wondering if anyone is experiencing this issue with their TAB. Some shortcuts are disappearing from my home screen. It just seems so odd. Google Sky, Opera Mobile and Google Goggles. Just a bit frustrating.

Those programs are installed on the SD card. Since your SD card gets mounted after the system boots those shortcuts wont appear since the system doesn't see the apps till the card is mounted. You can fix this by going to Settings -> Applications, find the apps that keep disappearing, and click on Move to Device.
Hope that helps...

Settings/Sounds and notifications & Settings/Phone no longer work

As the title says, I can no longer launch the settings applets for "Sounds and Notifications" and "Phone". When I click on them, it doesn't seem to do anything and then it hogs the CPU for a few minutes (system responds very slowly, screen redraws slowly).
I have tried soft reset and hard reset.
The problem is still there.
Is there any way to diagnose the problem or to fix it?
Is there any way to replace the applets?
Thanks in advance,
Luc

Same problem here......
Me too, except only for the Phone settings app - Sounds and Notifications works fine. FWIW, if I wait for a few minutes after clicking the Phone settings app it appears. In the phone settings app, clicking off the front tab is fast but returning to it takes another few minutes.
solved¡¡
In my case the problem was the mp3 files in the sd card because before get into those pages the system scans these kind of files to fill de combo boxes of sounds (events, rings, etc).
Solution:
Before go into these applets remove the sd card.

I don't have any mp3 files on my sd card and even after minutes, the control panel never appears.
Is there any way to re-install this?
Luc
Have you tried to extract the sd card? do you have music files in othe place (rom, extended, etc)?
I just checked this again and I get the same issue on the settings/sounds notification page but only on the notifications tab. However, as with Phone Settings, if I wait a couple of minutes the pages comes up.
I've tried removing the SD card and hard rebooting but it still doesn't solve it. The only thing I can think of is that I enabled HSDPA with fit4cat tweaker...?
Thanks all for your suggestions!
I reformated my SD card and now it works fine again.

Hmm... well removing the SD card altogether and unmounting my extended rom still hasn't fixed this. Any suggestions anyone?

Apps to SDCard Widgets Issue

Just recently (like ten minutes ago) I decided I would finally move all my Apps to my sdcard using Titanium Backup. After it was complete, I powered off and back on again just to be safe and noticed all my widgets were messed up, so I removed them and went to add them back on again. Thats when I noticed that none of the apps I originally would see under the widgets menu were there, but they were still installed on my phone. Are all the Widgets that are in Apps placed on our sdcards inaccessible or is it just me? Because if it isn't just me, then having all the Apps on the sdcard is just pointless in my opinion. Anyone else experience this?
You cannot have widgets for Apps that are on your SD card.
It is not just you.
I am not aware of how to fix this.

It isn't pointless to move apps to your SD just because widgets won't work, the whole point of apps to SD is to move LARGE apps to your SD to have more space on your phone for other apps.
guess I'll just move them back then
It's a limitation of googles apps2sd. Just like when you mount the sd card on your pc, those apps become unavailable. Before froyo and native apps2sd, we formatted the sd card with 2 partitions. One fat and one ext, then you union or symlink the ext part to /data/. It worked 1000x better than googles does. Apps where accesible while mounted, and widgets acted normal. Wish we could still do it like this.

[Q] phone rearranging icons after restart

Ok so I rearranged all my icons into my own order(custom arrangemwnt), however everytime I restart my phone the icons move somewhere else by themselves. Sometimes it happens to only some icons while others remained where they were placed. Can anyone help?
No doubt has something to do with the apps that are on sd as the phone would load the internal memory then the sd card.
It is something you will have to ask Sony Ericsson to fix in their next update.
Oh thanks man, that would definately make sense because now that you pointed it out, I noticed it started to happen after i started moving apps to the sd card because of a lack of space. Thanks man, now i know. Very sloppy on Sony Ericson's part. That's why they were listed as one of the companies who would go under in 2012. I find alot of things on this phone sloppy, corrected only by downloading external apps.
It's cause the default sony launcher is rubbish, The SD Card isnt mounted until 10 seconds+ after boot, so it either forgets order or dosent even loads apps on the SD Card
Well thank god my apps actually load, though not in the order i want them to. So if I used a differentdifferent launcher and set it as default, would that correct the problem?

micro SD?

Okay so the phone i have right now came with a sd card called 128 evo plus , which was great and was excited to move over apps from internal storage to it, but i don't seem to have the option to do so. (i searched the videos and how-tos and i followed them, but i just dont have the option to.) Help would be appreciated !
Settings
Device
Applications
Application manager
Pick the app you want to move
Storage
Change
Select sd card
You can only move certain apps to sd so you will have to go down the list until you find one that allows you to move it over. Ex waze gps

I'm bell (canada) and yes i have. :/
And you have tried it on all of your downloaded apps? My options are very limited as to what I can move to sd. My only other suggestions are to download something like Pandora or waze as I know I can move these on my phone and maybe reformat card with your phone. Other than that I'm at a lose on this one sorry, maybe someone who knows more or had the same issue and found a fix will chime in.
Should look like this
yes i have, i guess i'll go to the samsung store and have them take a look. thanks tho ! @AndroiderM

SD Card and Bluetooth Issues

So I have a 64gb SD card on my phone to make space on my phone for apps and stuff. Problem is that the storage is running out and I realized that very few things are actually on the SD card. My Google Play Music Library is on it and some movies I have. I am running Resurrection Remix ROM on it, Marshmallow. There seems to be no option in Settings > Apps to move apps to the SD card. I also tried the app Link2SD and it hangs when trying to move an app and the link to SD option is greyed-out and underneath it says no secondary partition found... any idea how to force my apps to move to SD to clear up space? Or at least some settings to change...
Second problem is that my bluetooth audio becomes very choppy for 5-10 seconds whenever I turn on the screen from being off. Also, when the screen is off it will occasionally skip. It happens independently of what other apps I'm running.
