Hey, I am using MDJ FroYo Sense Revolution 1.5 with Hastarin 8.1 kernel and I cannot play Youtube videos in fullscreen using the webbrowser.
Anyone had this problem before? It works like a charm when I'm not using Fullscreen, also with 480p.
Thanks.
Just checking, you're using http://m.youtube.com and cannot view fullscreen videos?
Works just fine here on ShubCraft 2.0 dropmode (cannot vouch for your build but definitely works on this one)
I am using desktop view of Youtube. And when I hold my finger on the screen while on fullscreen, It'll play but laggy.
**Edit Updated to Hastarin 8.1 and now it works like a charm.

When ever I try to play a video using the BBC Iplayer app, or Website, all i get is flashing blocks of colour like there's a codec problem.
If I Watch a video using the Youtube App it's fine but if I view the same video direct from the Youtube site, using the browser, it's like the BBC site and corrupted.
Anyone had this problem?
I've noticed it happening more over the past week.
I'm running CyanogenMon 7 RC1
Try another Rom like leedroid
I changes to RC1 when it was released, and this problem has only started a week or so ago.
Going to try a factory reset on RC1 see if that makes a difference.
Looks like my Love affair with CyanogenMods is over for now...
Tried RC1 and RC2 they both have the same Video problems.
Tried another ROM that was Sense based and video playback was fine...
Looks like I Gotta look for a new ROM to like...
This is more of a test to see if this problem occurs with anyone other than me. Can anyone play any videos from the machinima channel on youtube in the stock tablet version of the application? I cant and i am running taboonay. Thanks.

I noticed this too. Works fine if you use browser instead
I am facing an issue with Adobe flash player on MIUI ROM (currently using MIUI 1.9.9, which is latest). The flash player crash if I try to farward the video, but runs O.K. if I allow to run the video as it is.
For example, using Stock browser (even with Dolphin HD), in YOU TUBE if I open any video, it runs perfectly. But, if I try to forward the video (try to skip some part), the video crashes.
I tried all Adobe Flash 10.1, 10.2 and latest 10.3, but same issue. Is this to do with MIUI or all CUSTOM ROM. I remember, I used to face similar problem with stock ROM (2.2) as well.
Any solution ?
Works for me using stock MIUI browser on newest MIUI and newest Flash. 720p vids lag a lot though.

Newest flash means flash 10.3, right ? Have you tried to forward the video (I mean skip some part and move to middle of the video) ?
I said, it works if I do not try to forward the video.

Yes 10.3.186.6 from market. And I can skip youtube videos (in browser too).
Btw I have franco.Kernel installed and some overclocking etc. if that does matter.

I am also running the latest MIUI with franco kernal.
When I try to forward the video in YOUTUBE, an message pops up saying:
"Sorry, this video cannot be played"
I am not sure, but it seems that it is to do with "HQ" option in the YOUTUBE. If I disable this, some videos are able to forward, but again, for some videos, I see above error message. But, as far as "HQ" option is enabled, all videos crash if I try to forward the video.

Yes now I understand. It does crash if you use m.youtube.com and choose "HQ" but if you use normal youtube site, then you can go forward in 720p vids too (but they lag). And everything works with youtube app too.
I noticed a discussion on the net recently where only videos tagged to "work on mobile devices" when uploading will work on mobile devices. I wonder if this has anything to do with youtube problems.
had this working on 4.1.1 fine. updated to 4.1.2 and now after countless combos of firefox and flash player versions, playing flash crashes the firefox browser. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH! can anyone help??
Did you try AOSP browser? I am using CM 10 4.1.2 rom and latest flash is working flawlessly on both Firefox and AOSP browser.
Which Firefox and Adobe version are you using?

works fine with marathon browser, but i use ff
You can try to sideload older version of flash and see if you face same issue.
And are you using Firefox Beta or just Firefox? Firefox beta seems to work better on android.
But my recommendation would be to use AOSP Browser, its the best browser for android imo better than firefox.

ya... ive tried about 5 earlier versions..all fail. can you go to youtube.com and play videos with firefox??
Yes I use Youtube app though its very good. If I try playing any video on youtube in firefox beta it opens it in the youtube app itself.

right!! but if in firefox if you request a "desktop version of site" then try to play the video in the browser....it crashes. can you try a test of doing that way for me ?? thanks
I tried using the desktop site the full screen worked fine. Only thing I noticed is the buttons like play, resume, full screen appeared blurred , not good. But full screen played fine, no crashes.
I have played videos on other web sites and they also play fine on full screen.
Why you are not using youtube app for watching videos?

not "fullscreen" in firefox in the options you check "request desktop site" after you load www.youtube.com, then try to play a video
I understood what you said before and I did check request desktop site too works fine for me.

Thanks!! I gave up..... flashed CM10 Kang 4.1.2................ now everything works fine!
Just as a question, did you use firefox beta or the normal firefox? On 4.1.1 I had to use firefox beta to make flash work fine, but on 4.1.2 firefox beta flash did only work in NOT Fullscreen mode and trying to use fullscreen made flash crash. Funny thing is, on 4.1.1 the same happened to the normal Firefox. But now on 4.1.2 I use the normal Firefox browser (nfot the beta) and the latest flash version from the archives and it works very goood, also in fullscreen mode no crashes. Hope I could help some people looking into this topic.
Since Android JB 4.1.2 now allows for Cascading of windows, are you able to "listen" to Youtube Videos using the Official Video App by having it work in the background?
Well, if you were going to do that, isn't it easier to use Radio for Youtube (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...mNvbS5BdG9tYXguYW5kcm9pZC5Zb3V0dWJlUmFkaW8iXQ..) ? I remember using it to listen to Legend of Korra soundtracks in the background and that it's a pretty good app.
edit:
so I just tried it (on the note right now) and yes it works as a background Cascade thing.
