[Q] Change the animation to iphone miui ones? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello at all,
Can someone tell me if it is possible to change the animations of our android roms with the iphone ones (like miui)? In my opinion, iphone miui animation are the best ones and also make the terminal very fast and smooth.
Thanks at all...

Please help me to choose :-)

Hi I'm the owner of a HTC legend for 1 year. It's time for me to choose a new device:
For the same price I can have a Nexus S or an iphone 3GS..
What i didn't like with the legend was the slowness of sense compare to Ios (not a big lag but always a little delay...).
It was very frustrating for the keyboard. Every keyboard I've downloaded was not very responsive (included the original one) compare to the iphone's.
So my questions:
- Do the 1ghz processor of Nexus S permit a typing with NO lag at all?
- I don't like Android UI, do you know if the beautiful MIUI is faster than sense ui?
Thanks for your help
Nexus S all the way. Its pure Android with no bloatware. I don't like sense and the most recent MIUI is slow.
Also, Nexus S has plenty of ROMS to choose from, can be overclocked and customized to the way you want. pick your kernel and have longer battery life or over clock and it runs like butter.
Hope that helps.... anything other question... please ask.

- yes you can type without any lag on the nexus s.
However to be quite honest and unbiased ( i cant believe myself saying that) , i would advise you to get something else. the reason is that you dont like android ui. Everything about the nexus is stock android. MIUI is nothing close (speedwise) as stock. there is still a constant lag scrolling in the settings for example. a sense port is on its way but nobody knows how functional it would be.
I got the nexus cause i love the android ui.
Get something you actually like.
My sugestion: sgs II
nexus s is way better than the 3gs. however, i have experienced an occasional lag every now and then while typing.

How many of you would like a ROM like this?

Hi guys,
Like many of you, I've tested lots of different ROMs. After all, that's the beauty of owning a Google Phone.
However, I can't seem to find ONE ROM that fits all my needs. I was wondering how many of you would like something like this:
- Stock-based
- MIUI notification bar toggles (Cyanogen's would also be fine though)
- Battery Percentage Icon
- Themable (AOSP)
- Compatible with most kernels out there (so that we can choose whichever we want)
- No copyrighted things from other devices (ie. ringtones, apps, etc.)
I've yet to find a ROM that suits all these needs. Cyanogen is not stable or smooth enough to my liking, when compared to the stock experience. MUIU is beautiful, but a bit heavy and not really optimized for SAMOLED (even the darker theme uses very little pure black). Most of the other ROMs don't have notification bar toggles. The ones that do are based on Cyanogen or MUIU, so it's not much different from using one or the other.
The closest ROM I've seen to this is Amethyst, but it's been discontinued by the developer, and it's a bit limited on the notification toggle options. Heck, MIUI is perfect with so many toggles all easily accessible from the notification bar.
Does anyone else feel that way? Maybe if enough people would be into this, perhaps a developer could feel it's worth doing something like that. Or am I alone in my wishes?
Regards!
I too have went through a ton of roms on this phone, and the one that i keep coming back too is the NSCollab series of roms (currently on 1.0.43). it has the stock launcher so it is really smooth and has the app drawer that i love, also has notification buttons and other settings from cyanogen. You can also flash the theme chooser to have a few different looks to the rom, but the best thing i have like about it is that its really stable and fluid
Zuluzulu might be what you are looking for. Its really cool looking and stable. The batterylife is incredible, and it is clockable to 1.4 ghz since it use the netarchy kernel.
CM even the latest RC 1 consumes all my battery in less than 24 hours.

You can flash the systemui.apk that I made over a stock rom and get the notification toggles and still be able to theme the phone but be ware if you flash a theme copy the drawables to your system ui or loose the toggles. Its in nexus a themes and apps

What is so special about miui ?

I have been looking at so many miui ROM
And people are miui crazy
Is there any reason why miui is so good ?
If I find it promising
I might consider working on it ...

I think some people just prefer the look and feel of miui compared to other roms. I used to use Trip's miui froyo until gingerbread came out.
The UI is very nice, like for example when answering a phone call it looks way better than in any other rom, but i prefer rom's with menu's more since MIUI doesn't

No offence to those that like miui.

I'll make a miui ROM ...
I'll heavily modify it
I'll try my best
But still anything else ???

not much
other than
its lookin too iphonish
MIUI-
no menu like default ROMS- menu is like iphone
awesome features, like a country name is flashed when someone calls u
the drag down noticifaction menu has all the shortcuts ,so no widgets
faster than default roms
awesome themes with really nice lock screens
music controls on lock screen
MIUI cam is good
now one will say we can have all these in stock roms with apps but why to install app when everything is by default in MIUI
now if you are starting to make a MIUi rom then put this and it will be best rom ever
MIUI Interface with option launchers like SE stock launcher
MOST IMPORTANT- SE DEFAULT CAM and not MIUI Cam
Cyanogen mod settings
Trip is already working on a rom with features from all other ROMS to make a super rom..but in XDA we have nothing sort of that...so lets starts a poll what we need and a dev can start on that ROM

should i buy s5?

hi guys
i'm nexus 4 owner and wanned to buy new phone.. and i'm thoroughly confused :/
my expections:
first of all... speed speed speed..!
i dont mean benchmark numbers or either gaming performance (i don't play games) i just want fast and super responding interface
2.battery 3. developmental support.. 4.screen 5.camera
i decided to buy s5.. but when i played around with it, totally disappointed :/ really slow interface.. i don't know how is it in non stock based custom roms..
does this phone have some super fast and snappy (probably non stock based ) roms?
then i cheked m8 .. it was lovely fast.. but i think camera is aweful stupid htc ... just put simple 13mp camera
g3 also checked it's videos.. shamefully it's slow just like s5 just have quicker animation speed.. but i want touch responsive phone.. not fast animated..
i heard it'll get better after updates.. i dunno how much..
plz help...
Flash XtreStoLite 1.3.8 and you will have very fast device. You can decide yourself which features an widgets you want. Overall the S5 is a great phone but it has to much bloatware aboard.

Honestly, coming from a Nexus even after flashing XtreSto you won't be happy with the speed (I'm on 1.3.8).
TouchWiz is slow, there's tweaks you can do like reducing animations, changing launchers, turning off S-Voice and debloating, but doesn't change that simple fact.
However, you do get used to it and everything outside of the interface is quite fast and responsive.
You may be interested in trying out CM for the S5 assuming you have an unlocked bootloader device. I've flashed a few times and it fly's for sure. Keeping with TW at the moment due to camera and bit better battery life, but lot's of progress has been made with CM11 and 12 is right around the corner. If a Play Edition is ever released that will help tremendously.
guys i don't want to use sammy roms if i bought this phone.. i'll flash a aosp/cm based rom at first day..
the question is , how 's devolepment going on this phone ? (snap version)
'cause some guy told me if u want custom roms don't go for this phone.. why?

There's any AOSP ROM for H1611 (Ascend XT)

Well , i just wanted to know if there's any AOSP based ROM ,or a way of changing the UI( I really hate EMUI).
Thanks in forehand for the answers !! .
I use Nova Launcher on all my Android devices including H1611. And Solid - Solid Color Wallpapers.
