I want to run this app via MortScript passing all the settings as port, baudrate, nmea|sirf, etc. I did't find a description of commandline parameters. Does anybody here know of those? TIA
EDIT:
Mods, please move to "Development and Hacking General". because here is the false forum for this question. Thanks a lot.
EDIT2:

I dont think there is any official help for this, as i have searched. So some developer would know how to use parameters and what are they.
Hi all, not sure where to put this thread, so I thought this would be a good start.
I have a Motorola MC40 device that is used for scanning items in a retail store. I am need to write a little app for it, but cannot get Eclipse to see the device. I've tried the only suggestion I can find on the internet on StackOverflow (search mc40, i can't post links here yet), but my Win7/64bit computer isn't seeing the device.
I've tried viewing it with adb devices and have made sure that I am updating the correct SDK files... still no go.
I remember having to do something like this with my Kindle fire initially, but it wasn't this hard to get working.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
...Still looking for a solution. I cannot figure this out! BLAH...
This is the APP development section. This is not for driver and therefore kernel related things.
Thanks for the reply. I've posted it Android Development and Hacking > Miscellaneous Android Development. Appreciate the guidance!

Posted an answer in your new thread.

Hey,
Maybe a stupid question, but I can't find the answer.
I created an application, I have some images res/drawable-...
I can create an apk, ready for release and I can install it on my phone.
When I open the apk (with winzip for example), I can see the folder "res" and all the images. I can extract these images on my computer and see them.
Are images not "compiled" or "compressed" ?
When I look here: http://developer.android.com/tools/building/index.html, I think with "aapt", the resources are compiled.
But not in my case. What am I missing ?
Thanks
ps: when I check "yes this thread is a question", I have this message "This is not a Q&A forum. By posting questions in this forum you are breaking the forum rules." But I'm in Coding Discussion, Q&A, and Educational Resources > Java for Android App Development
That's normal.
An apk file is an archieve like zip files. So everything is just compressed.
As far as I know, aapt just compiles resources written in xml (like layouts or menus) and creates all necessary IDs.
If you want to hide the images, you can try this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11735198/how-to-hide-images-of-apk
And it is the right forum. It's a bit confusing, I know.
Thanks you for your answer.
Good to know that.

Is it possible to remove those OEM "settings apps" which are downloaded from store and installed at the end of the settings page???
I have a Ativ S it is fully unlocked and i have full file system access.
Please use search; this has been discussed in multiple threads.
Also, why the heck did you post a [Q] in a forum that *isn't* the Q&A one?
Sorry I searched but found nothing, xda hasn't the best search also.
As for a [Q] in this forum because it's more development and hacking related, as far as
I know there is no official normal way you could remove those apps -> hacking...
And you could have at leas posted the Link to the right topics and help me out...

Worked Had to remove some samsung apps from the settings page on my Lumia 925
Hi guys, I've been looking through the xda but can't find anything on this. I'm basically looking for a tutorial on how to add terminal commands to a mod so a bit like govtuner where you type in a command and it executes it and maybe has different profiles. If there is an Xda thread or website I missed then it would be appreciated if someone links me it. Thank you
