i think i know what messed up my phones battery it was the car charger that i bought from ebay for 10 bux that must be it. what you guys think?
I called the up about it too, but it's not free, you will have to return the old battery back to them.

dunno, I called complained about it, she simply said replacement will be sent today with a return label for the bad battery that I have.

You may want to wait and see after week or so see you they charge you for not sending back the old battery.
There was nothing but the battery in the bag from ups. I'll wait a week and call them.

Yeah a buddy of mine just went through this with Sprint a week or so ago. Bummer though.
Not covered if you have the accidental damage or whatever sprint calls it coverage? Or you're saying you have to go through assurion and pay $100?

Well now every cracked screen has to be replaced through insurance claim with $100 deductible. Pretty much back to how things used to be.

I'm not really sure I believe this until Sprint says so. That was one of the big points of the warranty change a few months ago, I doubt they would change it back this quick.

When compusa was around, we charged $25-50 to install memory. Took long to get the machine unpackaged than to pop the memory in... Labor is labor...

If you have the screen its really easy...just four t4 screws outside and one small phillips inside.

I just had a Evo replaced 2 days ago due to a cracked screen. There was no insurance on the line. They charged me 35$ and handed me a new phone. This was in Southern Indiana. Whole process took about 15 minutes at a corporate store.
Edit: Sorry still working on my reading comprehension. Missed the FREE part.
Well I installed cm7 and it worked great until today. Now my touch screen doesn't respond unless the physical keyboard is out? Any ideas what the problem is? Thinking of ruuing to check if its the rom?

No. They don't fix anything. They'll either say it's defective and give you a refurb or if they think you broke it send you off to Assurion to pay your $100 deductible.
EDIT: I should read. They'll probably send you back to Radioshack.

I got my epic before the nexus s 4g came out so I just looked up here one day and bam. There of was perfect directions on how to root and do everything. Everyone has been so helpful especially the ACS team. If you wanna know how to get a free nexus through sprint pm me and ill tell ya how I did it. PS. Hope you get gingerbread soon.

All I did was I called Sprint *****ed about the epic and said that I wanna get on a new phone the lady said that's OK and she gave me a few to choose from and the nexus s 4g was one. I am using it right now rooted and all ****s amazing.

Well I just tried and they told me I have to go to repair center to diagnose the phone. Now I'm not sure if I wanna go there because that means I'll have to put my phone back to stock but if this really works I'll definetely do it.

Just got shot down. Said I had I power button issue and ****ty service. They said I needed to have my epic replaced 3 times before I wo9uld qualify for a nexus. I'm pretty slick. I've gotten replacements for nothing before, and I didn't mention the nexus until she did. Instead, she made me a service ticket and told me to take it to a corperate service center, since I told her I had been told to call the hotline by a 3rd party store.
I guess ill try again another day.

Has anyone sent in their MT4G for warranty replacement due to the unresponsive keyboard issue (keys randomly not responding, lag while typing)? Also, is tmobile still sending out the MT4G as replacements or are they giving out the slide and sensation now? Thanks!

Did your replacement fix the issue? I've had 2 Mt4gs so far and both exhibited the same problem.

Tmo offered me a sensation as a warranty replacement... I took it but I hear now they're offering a mt4g or a sidekick... in which case I would just stick to the mt4g...

I've gotten one for failed emmc, hardware buttons wearing out on the next, so much dust I couldn't see half the **** on the screen, I cracked the screen on one and now I have one with the bad chip and screen. So that's what, 5? Haha

Yes. They go through the whole troubleshooting process with them... for me nothing they did helped. In which case, they start the process of a warranty exchange.

Warranty exchange doesn't count as an upgrade right?
Someone on I know has verizon and their phone messed up and they gave them a different phone but it was considered an upgrade.

Depends in whether or not they have this phone in stock. Sometimes, if you're lucky enough, you could get an upgrade...

No it's not an upgrade. When I got the mt4g replacement, it doesn't change anything, it's covered under them. When the guy offered me the sensation, I asked him: is this costing me more $?, does this affect my contract?, does this affect my upgrade date later in the year? Everything was a no. He said it would cost me $5, which it did. That's about it.

My bf & I are on the same plan, we both had mt4g... I called about mine & I was offered a sensation or another mt4g. I called for him about a week later & tmo was only offering a sidekick or a mt4g. (My bf thinks they only offered the sensation to me bc I'm a girl LOL), but the Rep said it all depends on what they have a lot of stock in.

I went about an hour ago and they said I'd have to go through two more replacements (cause I've already been through one) before I can get a "warranty exchange"
But off topic, they just tried to hire me cause I know so much about the phones and stuff and some guy wanted his iphone 4 on t-mobile but they didn't know what to do about it, so i jumped in the conversation and told him exactly what he needed to do.
