Ocean Waves?
Why don't you ask someone in the G2 section? Since you are wanting something for a different device..

Found these apk's over in the Nexus One forum, haven't had a chance to test them on my G2 yet...

Update: they work great on G2! They cause a bit of lag, though, but will be cool to look at once in awhile.

These wallpapers work fine on the G2. No lag at all. Try running these on the N1 sometime...horrendously slow.
Landscape mode is f'ed up, though.

On my G2 the Galaxy S wallpapers are smooth and lag free, but scrolling from screen to screen is a little choppy. Still nice to have

threads like these make me wish i was a moderator.... seriously, like comon you are talking about Z having a sense? you DO know that once root is accomplished, it would be super easy to load custom roms on the G2 right... and i;m pretty sure devs would work one up with sense.
and as far as ffc is concerend... the desire Z doesnt have one.... correct me if I'm wrong

yup, he sure did a fail rant lol.
You do know that once the G2 gets nand unlocked we will be able to install Sense onto it right...And like the people above me said, the Desire Z does not have a front facing camera, sigh.

I'd much rather have vanilla android anyway. It should make getting gingerbread a smidge faster. I want that so bad, I don't care if it's a big nothing. It's the wait that's killing me.

I am sorry to break this to you but ginergerbread is mostly concentrated on UI changes like colors.... its going to be green instead of yellow for status bars and all. Also, they are concentrating on integrated video calling (hence FFC stuff) and better usability for tablets...

FFC? Who cares? How many of your friends REALLY have a phone with an FFC? Okay, maybe all of one or two if one happens to have an Evo and another happens to have an iPhone 4. And you're really inclined to call either of these people versus texting them? Right. And since you're so inclined, now you really have to use up your strength to hold your phone a foot away from your body in order for the camera to get your whole face in the camera for the entire conversation?
If you answered yes to all these questions, you are in a very small, small minority.

And you are sending this retarded post from your Nexus One which has neither Sense nor a front facing camera. Personally, I don't need a ffc, I have an iPod Touch 4g if I ever really need to see the person on the other end. Don't need Sense either, already have Launcher Pro and Beautiful Widgets and Weather/Toggle Widget from the market. I can customize my G2 a different way for every day of the year. Sense sucks.

fo real... Homeboy!
Just wanted to know what the REAL reason is for the Vibrants Lag is? software or hardware. running test like CPU Benchmark,Quadrant Standard or Linpack. Seems to run a lot slower then almost all phones. like the G2 or the Mytouch 4G. Just to name a few. Thought The Cortex-A8 Hummingbird CPU was going to make the Vibrant super fast but that does not seem to be the case! I love my Vibrant and games run awesome on it for the most part but it sure lags up a lot! Rooted stock ROM with the T959UVJI6 Update. and using Launcher Pro Plus. Still love my Vibrant but would like to know why so slow on test and why so much Lag?
And I know there is a Lag fix but seem to be issues with that too. Thanks a million
You're comparing Eclair to Froyo and, in the G2's case, vanilla Android. Try running one of the Froyo builds and see if you have any lag. I'm running the Obsidian Froyo based on the T-Mo leak and have run Eugene's and both run with zero lag.
he's just a troll. everyone who used both knows full well that the Vibrant is way faster.
Not a freaking troll! Lol just wanted to know. Thats all no bigs. I love my Vibrant and not dissing it at all.was just asking a question since this the Vibrant Forum and all!

I had a G2. Traded it in for a Vibrant.
Enjoy your dust-collecting screen, crappy hinge, inability to flash roms, INCREDIBLY bad camera, and random hard resets.
Also, the G2 keyboard is a sad shadow of the Cliq keyboard.
pierre and darkside is probably the same kid lol. G2 sucks balls. My friend has it and it is freakin slow. The whole os lags lol. It gets what, 33 FPS on Nenamark? we get over 55 lol
Oh yeah, and good luck sending any text messages that have "stop" in them on your g2.

I didn't see anything new to the app other than a cosmetic change. Meh.

I love the My touch 4G to death, but my wife doesn't seem to like it much. So, I'm need to find something to replace hers. Her's is being used unlocked on AT&t. So, does anyone have any suggestions? On eBay I can sell it for $200-240 so, i'd like to sell it and buy a replacement. It needs to be GSM (AT&T or T-Mobile phones are fine), in my price range and have similar specs. I have really can't think of anything. She hates it so bad she's using her old Samsung Magnet until I find her something :/ lol
It'd help to know the specific things your wife does not like about the MyTouch 4G.

She can't make text messaging signature and it doesn't have a keyboard :/
I've already talked to her..... There is no reasoning.
I've never heard of a text messaging signature before.
Good to know about the other thing, though. So the only requirement is a hard keyboard?
Stick with the my touch..
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
For the text message signature she could try using Go SMS Pro in the market.
The only gsm android phone I can think of with a keyboard is the G2. I've used it in the past though and found it to be slightly slower than the MyTouch due to the smaller ram and lower processor speed. I agree that she should stick with the MyTouch.

you could try the mytouch 4g slide, though it is a bit pricey. but check it out anyway.

So no need to change the phone, just change the ROM.

If anything don't get the g2 I had it. It's slow as hell outside the stock Rom. Has a good build quality to it though.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
if she wants to have a physical keyboard then your gonna have to switch phones, id say go for the mytouch 4g slide just cuz it would be a more familiar platform and cuz the g2 would be a downgrade in hardware
Hard to imagine not liking the phone over those two reasons. Swype is so much better and faster than conventional texting. And as for the signature, I'm not rooted and I use GO SMS. As already mentioned, it has the option to add a signature. Plus it's much better than the stock text. JMO. Each to their own I guess.
After a solid year with my MT4G (which I am still in love with...) I just bought the GSII
Have to say so far, this phone's bad ass.
