The same version from xda work for me but like I said.... thanks to the greatest yahoo update it gives you a FC I can up load the app with the extend file and u could try it if u want

I'm sorry but I forgot to tell u I'm using TMO G2. idk when I opened first my ym it says I have to update bcoz its not compatible with yahoo mail, what I have done is uninstall yahoo mail, messenger and deleted video call add on then reboot, DL ym from this thread not the one from market and include the add on then I installed it it worked for my phone.. hope it works

No wonder ......that app is created to sopport that phone for now....that what I know.... I believed yahoo notice about this app working in any bilt infront camara.... so they have to take it down or patch something so it won't work with other phone but g2(exclusivety for t-phone to not said the right brand name....(lol)that's how u sell more phones)u know how the flow goes with usa brands and companies

No its not supported I just DL it from this thread its a hacked leak software were not allow to use this that's why they updated it, I'm just telling you I can still use my video call when I woke up this morning I cannot use my ym it says its not compatible with yahoo mail that I need to update it, I tried a couple of times then I uninstall yahoo mail, messenger and addon then reboot it DL the file from here not from market(don't install mail)then poof it works I'm just trying to help if it don't work then I'm sorry

OK I flashed the 2.1 hero/eclair and didn't like it just yet so went back to the 1.5 hero build and I cant sync my facebook social network deal, twitter did fine but I hate twitter lol... i want my facebook... any one willing to see if they can log out and re-sign in... lol just kidding not gonna ask any one to do that cause I miss my integration, don't want you to miss yours... but if any one flashes a hero rom any time soon, and try to sign in and fails let me know, the error message reads as fallows.... The service is currently unavailable. Do you want to try again? also of course I tried re wiping everything again and again... thinking it's an htc or facebook deal...
This is a known issue. Get the latest facebook app, and sync using that. It should work fine for you.

meant the initial log in part like after the google sign in where you have facebook,twitter,and the picture thing but I finally got it to sign in it took 2 days for it to finally accept the log in info
Just installed this, cant believe how nice it looks!
But yeah theres an option now to start and sign in when the phone does, which is appealing because it would be similar to blackberry messenger.
But would this cause a serious drain on battery? Surely its no different to having GTalk running?
nimbuzz does not have push notification like GTalk or the nimbuzz on the iphone so it will drain your battery like mad because its constant connection to stay logged in.
the closes thing to bbm is gtalk atm. or whatsapp when they release it on the android
that sucks, no one I know uses gtalk lol. is whatsapp being released on Android?

Hows your battery life when using nimbuzz?
Whatsapp should be released soon but i dont see why people are paying for this app when GTalk does the same if not more and its FREE?
Ask your friends to install GTalk on their devices for now, they might like it =)
Because "WhatsApp" does not need special username or PIN.
You only need your phone number (in international forward) and that's it!

i couldn't really say tbh. my battery life is generally bad anyway *shrug*
having to charge it every day at the moment, probably cos i'm always playing ith it tho.

nimbuzz is always connected and it does not support push notification.
i installed it to use skype but it doesnt support group chat so its a bit useless for me.
But generally skype does not support push notification, not even on there own official apps
Is it possible to turn the connection OFF ?
And only use it just to use Skype for calling (international) land-lines for example?

You can sign out which turns the connection off.
so you can sign in when you need to use skype and sign out when your finished
Does anybody see their own picture in conversation? I have in my account, but I /and frieds don`t see it.
I tried Nimbuzz today, but unfortunately I cannot use it to use my Skype account to call (non-skype) landlines / mobile phones

BUT ... it is really buggy ...
It only worked for the FIRST TIME ... showing that saved number.
When I modified or added some more in the Skype PC application, logout Skype.
They dont appear on the Nimbuzz.
I tried to login-logout Nimbuzz ... it does not work.
I tried to remove Skype account and added again ... it does not work
I tried to uninsall Nimbuzz and reinstall ... it does not work
I tried to uninstall Nimbuzz, reboot phone, reinstall ... it does not work
Whatever I tried in Android phone with Nimbuzz, it did not "sync" (or update) the Skype saved numbers.
So, yeah, frustrated with this kind of quality of the Nimbuzz for Android.
Does it work on yours? The add/update Skype saved numbers ...

no, removing the account did not refresh contacts
Yupe, and there is NO WAY to refresh either
So, I guess I have to wait another update ... (if there will be any!).
Anyway, I tested to call using SkypeOut and the call quality is not that good, there was some delays at the other end (long distance international call).
But, certainly it is better than Fring.

So here I am in the uk been a little annoyed that google chose only to do the trial in the usa. When I happened upon a link to sign up to the beta via some american proxy. This was only a day after the google io conference. I've heard nothing about it since until today when I got an email inviting me to the beta. And wow it works, and works well even here in the uk. Its not at all fast to upload your songs and I haven't dug too deep into the options yet but it works pretty cool. You can even play your music from any pc via a browser and I've added my google account to my wifes phone and that too is synching our music collection.
Anyway long post just to give those people who signed up and heard nothing some hope.

With regards to playing music via a pc based web browser, you don't need a proxy. it just works, the initial "proxy hack" is only used to fool the google servers into accepting your beta request as its only open to US ip addresses. Once you've been accepted they don't keep checking.

Nice, APK worked perfectly on my Inspire 4G!!
I'm a bit confused as to why they didn't integrate this with the main app. The main app has chat builtin too but it's a bit cumbersome to use. And god knows why it's incompatible with out phones.
Does it have group chat? And my problem with the app is that chat and messages are separate even though they are integrated in the site itself

My bad it is on the market, when i saw you guys requesting apk, i assumed it wasn't on market. Nice find, been looking for this for a while, the ability to send a message from my phone didn't think it was possible, i guess I never looked hard enough.
For those who dont have this install MarketEnabler and set it to US, then download it from the Market.
This one works for the Chat portion which is iffy on the official App. I dont get why they dont just integrate it like on the site though

It has Group Messaging. Which is the same but from a Messaging instead of Chat perspective. This is a Messaging not Chat app.
How the main Facebook app doesn't merge Messages/Chat is really annoying. This is how it used to be on Facebook.com, it must be at least a year ago but they've never bothered to update the app. I get Message notifications for people trying to Chat but as the app doesn't understand the merge, they never come through.
It's miles better than the Message section in the main app and properly supports Facebook Messages/Chat threading, whereby both appear in Messages.
I've turned off Message notifications in the main app. There's no point getting two notifications for each message.
p.s - Some messages are missing. I open a friend and some of the messages that appear on Facebook.com aren't there in the app.

I imagine so but why not integrate it? The one in the main app is broke and this should replace it. It's pretty slick.

Hangouts is pretty much just a Google Talk replacement at the moment. It doesn't unify anything.

Well, it totally screws up the easy way of cross compatible situation that Gtalk provided with XMPP. So many Messengers on various Computer Systems, incl. Android and iOS could connect to a Gtalk account. Now thats all over. What has that to do with unifying ? Sounds more to me like "limiting".
I suppose, since Gtalk was a major part in Android, one that I believe cannot/could not be uninstalled (please correct me if I am wrong here), we can't uninstall Google Hangout now. Right ? Since if it replaces Talk, it must be a part of the System that can't be uninstalled. Or please tell me that its no problem to uninstall it ?
Any info is appreciated.

It's no problem to uninstall it. You can uninstall with titanium backup.

I move the file which named talk.apk from system/app,and then open google play,hangouts can be installed.
But I put the file back,and reboot device.Gtalk is back again, hangouts is missing.
Now I am back to gtalk

I uninstalled it with Titanium Backups. Now its gone. Can I go back to Gtalk again and if, will it next time be automatically updated with Hangouts again since Google wants to get rid of Gtalk ? Does anyone know if Gtalk (in general) still works as for the Servers, so I could use it on a PC with some alternate Messenger.
Any info on that is appreciated.

You can go back to gtalk,put the file back to the path,and reboot
When I updated gtalk to hangouts, PC termination had worked as usual.
I think automatically update of gtalk will be successful next time.

If I understand you correct, I could put in TALK again but next time (or soon) it will be updated automatically to Hangout again, since that is what Google will force on everyone. So there is no point in putting Talk back I suppose. I just hope they keep the XMPP Servers running for Talk to be used on other Systems like PC. So many nice apps that can be used with Gtalk. Pidgin, Miranda etc.

yes, you are right.
I also like XMPP Servers, but talk combine with google+ message, what a pity.
If you're on a computer, go to Google plus page and turn hangouts on, there is a green line under the picture of contacts who are online. My list of contacts that show are just frequently used ones though. I know this isn't the same but maybe it will show up in the app soon.
ya its a great design but really missing the simple facts.
GOOGLE if you're reading this, combine all the servers into one.
it is still called talk and still looks the same, however apparently I already have the hangout update... what can I do? I rebooted my nexus twice and talk is still there.
It doesnt look the same at all actually. Lol. if it looks the Same for you, it hasn't been rolled out to you yet. there is a phandroid article with a link to the app itself and you can just install it manually.

I removed it completely. If I can't have Google Talk, I dont want that Hangout stuff at all. Google totally screwed up something great XMPP cross-platform stuff which no Google+ or Google Hangout can replace. Not everything wants to be done on a phone, tablet or Browser.
