Yahoo video call update

SO I never though yahoo could ever do. This..... I was video chatting with my fam from Italy and videocalling with yahoo app.... when I had a update from yahoo.... I though I was gonna get a new update for better video quality or something. So I updated it and guess what happen..... f*yahoo video call didn't work no more...... I think they are. Gonna give some exclusive right for new phones commin. Up next year..... what you all think of that

could you point me in the direction of the version that worked from you- did you originally get it from the market? the one I got from xda (ripped from a tmobile rom) did not work on my epic- thanks in advance

The same version from xda work for me but like I said.... thanks to the greatest yahoo update it gives you a FC I can up load the app with the extend file and u could try it if u want

that version must not have been out long... but i did dl messenger about a week ago and sure enough no video support. only for iPhone, according to their site... i thought engadget was just bragging about it coming to android.... ofw.

Now immediately after I install yahoo forces me to update and then I just get constant force closes

hey guys you know what, mine works fine just uninstall your yahoo mail it will work promise, but first uninstall mail and messenger then install messenger then add on..

I don't have yahoo mail and I still can't do video call u care if u post the apps and addons here....so I can try again

I'm sorry but I forgot to tell u I'm using TMO G2. idk when I opened first my ym it says I have to update bcoz its not compatible with yahoo mail, what I have done is uninstall yahoo mail, messenger and deleted video call add on then reboot, DL ym from this thread not the one from market and include the add on then I installed it it worked for my phone.. hope it works

No wonder ......that app is created to sopport that phone for now....that what I know.... I believed yahoo notice about this app working in any bilt infront camara.... so they have to take it down or patch something so it won't work with other phone but g2(exclusivety for t-phone to not said the right brand name....(lol)that's how u sell more phones)u know how the flow goes with usa brands and companies

No its not supported I just DL it from this thread its a hacked leak software were not allow to use this that's why they updated it, I'm just telling you I can still use my video call when I woke up this morning I cannot use my ym it says its not compatible with yahoo mail that I need to update it, I tried a couple of times then I uninstall yahoo mail, messenger and addon then reboot it DL the file from here not from market(don't install mail)then poof it works I'm just trying to help if it don't work then I'm sorry

You can view the market from any browser now, just visit: market.android.com
It supports multiple profiles for your phones and you can install apps to your phone through the new site. Looks very cool!

cant sign in with my account says "Invalid Request" interesting idea! tho

Man, i just got done watching the live stream of the conference and he said it was already live and he encouraged everyone to go check it out, but yes I am getting an invalid request
In app purchases are coming soon though, the demo they showed was pretty cool. Also, it looked as if you wont be required to do purchases directly through google checkout, as the demo just used a credit card to make an in-app purchase. Carrier billing will also be an option.

Yea, sign in works but it still can't install to devices. I am getting sick of Google introducing half-baked, untested things to the masses. Do they ever release something not in beta?

That last part is the error I got while it was parsing my device list.

I just gave it a try and it worked perfectly for me. Signed in with one click and it installed the app within seconds.

Almost half a dozen people had the same issue.
They only just got the sign in issue fixed.

Works on solitare but , not for pandora.

I was able to get signed in but when inputting my phone number I got an error. Now when I try to install an app I get "There are no android phones associated with this account. Please sign in with a different account." I've had my phone and gmail account synched up for over 6 months now, what gives!?

same issue here, saying no associated phone, maybe it will update shortly, i've even opened the market on my phone and installed an app to try and "push" it through, still not working

Yeah I did the same thing. I opened the market on my phone, installed a couple of apps, updated a few, still not showing as an associated device on the website.

Basically it allows you to have multiple phones attached to the same account. To install apps go to market.android.com sign in to your account and then you can browse and install apps. As others have noted though, there are still some hang-ups in the system.
Keep an eye on youtube.com/android and soon they will post a recap of todays conference (not up yet)

TBH download

I received an email today from team black hat asking me to re-download the app since it was removed from the market, but every time I put in my order number and email it says it isn't valid. Anyone else having this issue?

you dont have to redownload. p3droids tweets said that it was a download link for people that bought the app and might have lost it. the username and password are included in the email. i downloaded it and threw it in my dropbox just in case.

I tried those to and it didn't work for me, no biggie I guess seeing as how I still have it

can someone pm me his email or the email it's being sent from. I purchased the app and lost it when it was removed from the market, it was removed when I was reflashing a rom haha.

Im in the same boat. I put in all of my stuff still did not work. Its asking for my proxy email and I have no idea what that is. I've emailed him about it. Nothing yet

I repurchased the TBH app and got my download page, DL the app and I get a error stating Parse error with the package??

I repurchased the app the other day and I am having the same issue. Tried everything and can't get it to work. You'd think TBH would be technically inclined enough to have a link that works.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. It finally dawned on me that the email address and order number on the email are just examples. The email also confuses things by referring to the fields as "Email:" and "Order:", but then referring back to the same fields as "UserId" and "Password".
I was able to successfully download by using my email address and the original Google order number from the purchase.

I tried to download it on stock browser and it wouldn't work. I then checked my gmail account and there it was , I clicked it and it updated on it's own.Didn't even have to put in a username or password.

Yeah, I was very glad to see the e-mail pop up in my gmail account. I thought their app was lost forever. These guys rock!

I purchased my DX a week ago and the TBH app was the only thing that didn't download. I was doing a search on the internet for that app, and even checked my older email messages to see if there was a link in it. Just when I thought I was screwed, I got the email with the link. I was wondering how they knew I was searching for that app! LOL

Just got back from NYC event with my new TW, I like it!

Walk up, give them your name and you get a ticket and they take your tab. Got a free t-shirt as well (woot). They said fifteen minutes and it will be by the bar where a woman was cleaning the tabs that got updated.
Started it up and had to go through all the setup again.
I am loving TW so far, so for me it was great to get this done.
Had a problem logging into the same samsung account I created when I first got the tab, nobody there could help me. Someone else was there having the same problem and they said they had to create a new account using a different email address. Which is a bummer, I can log into the samsung.com account with the same UN and PW but on my Tab I cannot log into the existing account, says wrong password but I know it is correct.
Now I need to set it all up again but so far I like it. Oh and browser text input and drop downs are much better so far.

As for pulling the update I don't know how to do this. I never rooted so I have to do it and I would like to wait to see if someone does the locked bootloader root instructions on this new update.

Whats the build? Is it the same as whats already been released on xda?

I have this issue & it drove me crazy. I gave up after a few attempts. It's retarded that you have to create a new account with a different email address.

FYI I also had this issue but got around it by changing the password on my Samsung account on their website.

Is AllShare a part of the update or is there any sort of DLNA functionality?

I had seen them at a local event, they were boasting about the all share capability, I forgot the build number but I'm certain the final build is way ahead to those I used (they lagged)

I just did this and it worked as well. Funny thing is that I could sign into samsung.com but I could not sign into samsungdive.com. So reset PW on samsungdive.com and loged in and it worked. Then added samsung account with that email and PW and it worked. But it still shows that the samsung account is NOT syncing, just like it did before the TW update.
I reset my tab because when I first started it up at the even I was on my Evo 3g network and it was about to restore a ton of apps from gmarket so I stopped it. But since I stopped it for some reason my gmarket was NOT showing all of my apps. I tried deleting my google account and re-adding it but it did not give me the option to restore. After a reset I was able to do this and now have all my apps and see them in the market.

Does this update lock the bootloader?

[FIX] Yahoo Mail - Could Not Sign In

Hey all,
I was having issues with my Moto X alerting me that it could not sign in to my Yahoo account. However, when I would go into the app, it would function correctly without me logging back in or taking any action. But, the notifications were annoying as it was happening at least once per day.
Anyway, I played around with the account settings and was able to remedy the issue, or so I believe. The fix is pretty darn easy...
- Go into either the mail app itself or go into system settings, click on the Email account, then account settings
- Click on your email address [email protected] to adjust those preferences
- Scroll all the way down and click on Incoming Settings, under the Server heading it should read: Android.imap.yahoo.com
- Remove the "Android." piece of the phrase, so it should now read: imap.yahoo.com
- Click Done
- Repeat these steps under the Outgoing Settings as well and your issue should be resolved

Unfortunately yahoo has been doing this with android for years and no combination of settings will fix the random sign in errors. It can go weeks or even months between episodes for me.

You are right. It really has nothing to do with settings. It's on Yahoo's end not our phones. I ve been getting that sign in error ever since my 1st android phone (Htc hero) so i am used it by now. It comes and goes away.

Interesting. I have always been able to modify the incoming and outgoing settings to remedy the issue. I will let everyone know if this works long term. Thanks for the info.

I am a few days into this correction and have yet to receive any notice from the phone / Yahoo / mail app that I could not be signed into Yahoo. Not waving the flag yet, but for those of you who were having this issue, it may well be a simple and permanent fix.

Hope it works for you, this error happens randomly and intermittently so I just live with it and have transitioned most things to gmail.

Yeah, multiple days into the experiment now and still working as advertised.

After over a month of use, I can now 100% confirm this fix. I have not had any issues since the day I made the change to the settings. So if anyone is still having this issue, please feel free to use the info provided in the first post.

Glad it worked for you, only temporary fix for me. I broke down and installed the Yahoo mail app again. Its gotten much better and does not destroy the battery any more.
