can be done at some future
not think it would be excellent?
to improve the graphics
as in our computers ati or nvidia

Hey there,
Was doing alot of research online about the graphic chipset from ATI on Athena but not even ATi has any infomation on their Webby.
Anyone know the specs of this w2284 chipset? Would really like to have more information on the chipset.....
Cheers
i agree with you, i tried to find info on the chipset to but i couldn't so i was like fu*k it and bought it anyways
Interesting thing, I was looking for Intel® PXA270 and found out all things are over to Marvell. Pretty confusing but ATI is just part of that chip, not a special chip
I saw some posts at the Coreplayer (comercial version of TCPMP) forum that ATI has refused to make the specs of that chip available to the Coreplayer developers, effectively crippling the chip for being used my alternative media players.
that very intersting, will i think we all need to find a player that ati likes
ATI W2284 not only for processing video and graphics, but also for handling the camera. Particularly, calculating autofocus algorithms and settings of automatic white balance are done with the help of this graphic subsystem
hmm... i think tt is known.... But if i m not wrong my old blueangel also uses ATI chipset...
problem is like example nVidia's Goforce 5500 is known to have a clock speed of 150 to 200 mhz....
how much is ATI's W2284??? Secondly does it have hardware encoding N decoding of H.264 videos??
Blah blah blah... Lots of qns left unanswered.
Anyone knows??
Cheers....

Read here:
http://ati.amd.com/products/handheld/imageonfaq.html
http://ati.amd.com/products/imageon2282/index.html
and here:
http://ati.amd.com/products/handheld/products.html
Not very definitive I know, but never really found much else about them since last year and I believe ATI is remaining tight lipped for a reason...also not releasing info to Corecodec so they can support the chipset properly.
Notice also in the 3rd link, 2282 is listed,......but where is the mention of 2284?
I give up with ATI/AMD/Imageon....Imagine if we could get the best out of it via hardware decoding...how sweet that would be.
Just have to settle for using the Imageon driver for now, as it still yields visually better results thatn Rawframe buffer mode or direct draw and outperforms both in benchmarks fo speed.
Sorry can't help any more than that. Good luck on finding anything else useful.
no probs mackaby007......
Hmm i wonder...... mayb W2284 is actually a Modified Imageon W2282...
W2282 supports 3MP Cam.....

That's what I thought too.
Ive noticed a real delay between image and sound when playing some games.
Games in question are FIFA 2002 from EA Sports and also Smart Tennis from SIMBSOFT.
Did anybody noticed something similar??
Any news? I'm waiting for optimized Ati W2284 driver for HTC Athena... May be it will be supported in CorePlayer...

Hey, thinks for your work.I'm sorry I don't konw how to help you.But i think it maybe like qualcomm 7200's graphics chip.because the first ppc phone base on qualcomm 7200 is kaiser/TyTN II has the same problem as our 7500 at first.but someone solved it by modfy the 7201a driver for diamond for it.and the 7200 is the first product after ati sold the handheld products to qualcomm.so i think they maybe a little like.
i'm sorry for my poor english!
Hi, What do we know about the ati graphics chip in the x1. i know it gas 128mb of ram but what can it do in terms of graphical power?
I think he has a gpu (ati infineon) but he don't had his driver as others HTC...
yeah, and are there any graphic demos, which show the power of the 3d accelerator? is tf3d accelerated?
Once and for all. Diamond/Pro/HD/X1 all have 3d drivers! It's just that not every application is using it and the performance isn't groundbreaking. But they have those drivers!!
any 2d drivers? Thats really the only thing important to me. If i just wanted 3d drivers I would stick with my kaiser.
Hi,
I've spent the last two days searching for info about hardware accelerated 3D graphics on our Touch2/Quallcom MSM7225 .
This page on wikipedia says that the MSM7225 has Hardware OpenGL, Adreno 200/ATI Imageon included...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSM7000
I'm completely confused :/
Is it possible? Is there a driver missing? Is there no graphics chipset available?
Why?
Please help...
Thanks,
MrJSO
Hello!
This isn't relevant to hacking but I need to know about the AMD 8120 CPU, as if you guys are hacking windows 8 hopefully you'll be able to help me out here.
I'm building a new pc system but cannot seem to find anywhere on the internet if the 8120 has any sort of intergrated graphics?
Definitely not the right place to ask, but what the hell... the FX 8xxx series does not have any built-in graphics. There may be a low-end graphics chip built into the motherboard, however. Alternatively, AMD does have a line of CPU+GPU combined chips. They run a little underpowered as CPUs (even for AMD), being equivalent to Intel's i3 chips at best and usually not even that. However, they come with quite respectable middle-of-the-line GPUs, and for most games, that's what you need.
If you just need *some* sort of graphics and don't need it to be really gaming-quality, though, then you probably don't need one of those higher-end hybrids. I'd suggest that you look at the products on AMD.com, and do a search for motherboards with integrated graphics on your favorite product-comparison site (Newegg is my usual go-to, but I haven't bought much PC hardware in the last few years).

I am an owner of an FX-8120. I can tell you like the last guy did that it doesn't have integrated graphics. It's an 8-core chip clocked at 3.2Ghz stock. Now granted, it may not have an GPU processor on the chip, but you can customize graphic settings to allow the chip to process all of the video rendering. Usually this results in poor performance as GPU chips are alot more efficient when processing graphics. I have a 560gtx and the 8120 clocked at 3.8ghz. I use the GPU to render. Honestly though, you should get a 2500k or an 2600k. I've had nothing but headaches with my 8120. It sucks alot of power, it gets really hot and it locks up quite a bit.
how to overclock intel gma (onboard), intel hd graphics (onchip). is there any app support other than intel xtu? please don't try to harm overclocking with answers like it's not worth, it's dangerous, overheat! I will laugh in the face of such people above and appreciate those who can help!

hahaha, actually intel gma & intel hd can't overcloked.if u want bigger storage in this graphics, just upgrade ur RAM.and u can see the (shared memory) will be bigger than before.try to use dual channel, coz dual channel maybe have good performace than single channel
I think there's drivers for overclocking these.
There's a gma 3150 driver that boosts vram
