it's been 3-4 days that i'm trying to flash my wizard .
i tried a lot of roms , but none of them really finish the job .
here the thing .
i have G4 with wizard_love on it ( how come it's allowed to flash with RUU the wizard love rom , and not the other roms like NBD , Blackdiamond ?? )
anyway , i copy the 2 cabs files , install them , soft rest and then flash with shelltool( of course turning off the phone calls and SD card is out ) . shelltool doesnt finish the flashing process . i leave it for 2 hours once , and it's still stuck .
what am i doing wrong ?
please help me flash my wizard

I bricked my old G4 trying to use the shell tool, it never worked even with the steps being followed perfectly, It's just luck of the draw I think. I reccomend going to http://www.imei-check.co.uk/m3000unlock.php and paying the money and unlocking it, it worked for me although my G4 was still unable to be recovered. Once you unlock the flash process is a snap.
I use vista and shelltool always hangs and some point for me, but it still works, at the point it hangs i leave it for another 15 mins just to be sure, then unplug and hard reset.
If you don't hard reset the phone during the last stage the rom won't install to the device properly.
Shelltool works just well. Sometimes really doesnt show Flasg DONE, make hard reset, but u can after 12 min. just unpluge tha phone and make H R. It works every time.
I'm using Vista, but everytime I flash, I use VMWare and install XP.. Works fine.

I try to reflash my touch dual from NL to CHT, but.....
It looks I forgot to unlock the CID and the reflash programe has stopped on 14%, after that I only can get in the "3 color screen" ...
I try to down a lot of different version Niki's ROM ( also tried 'wizard_romupgradeutility_noid' ) but all of them has hand on 1% or even just report the Erroe [294] : invelue Ventor ID ...
As I learn from xda, it looks only reflash the ROM by miro SD can solve my problem, but I can't found any information regarding how to make the reflash function micro SD for NIKI ....
Anybody can help ..... :'(

As far as i know, you can't reflash your rom by microsd. The only option you have is to wait until valvarin has finished his unbricker. Still, I don't know when the unbricker is finished. Sorry for the bad news. Maybe the gurus have an idea. Keep your hopes high and succes!
What I can do now ???
At this moment, my touch dual only can start to "3 color screen" mode, and also can strat a ROM reflash programme but never can be 100% finish... ( Erroe [294] : invelue Ventor ID / system hang ) ...
Or is possible if I flash back the original ROM ???
Does anybody have the original HTC Dutch ROM from T-mobile ???

Hi , I have the same problem also would like to reflash from the sd card as my hermes 200 freezes on the win start screen , still running windows 5 . Hard reset does not work , just back to win start screen . Please let me know if you have some success . Thanks

Hi ,
I was flashing my jasjam using sspl-herm and a 6.1 rom ,
While upgrading the progress bar reached the end but it stayed saying upgrade in progress , it took too longer than normal and i knew it wouldnt continue so i soft resetted the phone ,
now it's stuck in the splash screen before even the windows loading.
Plz plz plz help....
if you can access bootloader
a) if you dont have hardspl installed already, install it or you're going to be screwed soon.
if you can access bootloader, pop the nbf file onto your microsd <2gb as HERMIMG.NBH insert it into the phone and follow onscreen instructions.
flashing via SD is always a safer bet anyway.

1st I tried hard resetting and it didnt work
2nd I DONT have hard spl
3rd I get into bootloader , i plug the usb cable but i cant flash , the ruuwrapper program says error during upgrade , i think it cant access the phone first coz the mobile device icon in my computer is emtpy , second activesync says not connected(although it tries to) and device manager reads an " htc usb sync " drive but no letter or something
Still no luck , any help ??

I up a new ROM then restart the fone. It comes the window welcome screen then suddenly auto restart .
I re up ROM again still have this problem , i changed 5 ROMs already .

this behavour has been seen when there is a bent battery connector pin.
Other than that, i would suggest mtty/task29 and then flash a fresh rom and radio.

im doing it , and 1 question : i cant install the Active Sync Drivers with win 7 64bit ,
it always shows the HTC USB Synv with a yellow "!"
, and when i open mtty there no USB port ,

what radio are you using...im sure this will be where you are going wrong
the latest radio i use is Radio: 2.08.50.08_2, HSPL: 1.42.HSPL
i dont think the problem is the ROM and RADIO ,
i think problem maybe i up ROM many times , there some temprary files or some kind of radiculous files in the fone ,
so im trying to mtty as " samsamuel " advice ,

hmm, ye, radio is fine, the issue you described sometimes happens when a wrong radio is flashed, I've never used MTTY so cant really be much help in that case, I've flashed my device numerous time so dont think its an issue of over flashing.
use task 29 instead of mtty. It does the same thing but doesnt need the drivers installing. win x64 can be funny about it.

you havent actually given us any details.
when you enter bootloader, what spl does it say?
what radio is currently on the phone?
get a stock rom, any will do (assuming hspl is installed) flash it over USB, it will flash a known working rom and radio, but because its over usb it wont remove hspl.
i'd also run hspl2 in bootloader mode, and reset the spl/hspl. It could be that the spl itself is interfering. (unheard of by me, but who knows? )

I need to show exactly my case first .
1. PROBLEM :
Like i often do when up ROM or wipe the data it must be : after start the fone , the bar at windows screen will run , then do the setting , then htc sense lauch , normal using .
But this time , i do up a new ROM , new RADIO , and USE THE FONE SMOOTHLY. I do a wipe data 1234. but at that time , the battery empty . The fone is turn off. I press the Power button , fone on then off fast . bcos it run out of battery. Then i charge the fone. Until the light Green i turn on the fone by power button . Fone on , HTC screen on, but at the windown screen . when the bar is going to run , fone auto restart. thats it . ( sorry , told about it many times , )
2 : WHAT I DID :
a, - Enter bootloader , 4 color monitor. Up a new ROM , try new RADIO . Problem still happen , ....autorestart !
b, - Download task 29.exe include 1 Radio name 2.08.50.05 inside. I enter bootloader , then run the task29.exe . At 100% hold volume down enter bootloader again . After that , i use RUU and up a new ROM . Problem still happen .
- I take out battery . do task 29 again ( 2 times ) . Then hard reset , vol up + down . Then , RUU again , up a new ROM
.............. problem still there , it auto restart at windows screen , ! ........... nonstop !
I take out the Battery .
( at bootloader it always is 1.42 HSPL by cotulla ...) something like that .

Thank u guy for watching this port , exspecial Samuel and sjchubbs for your help. I think my Hd2 gone , its really jerk problem . I think when hard reset and task 29 , there nothing in side , so nothing control the auto restart. ( files , softwares,....)
maybe it the hardware problem. Battery ? chip ? ....
~ whatever hd2 is , it still a taiwan's thing . bad quality . never believe in made in chinese made in taiwan again .

look under batter if pins are not damaged, my phones autorestart becouse this pins was a litle other posision...
and i recomed upgrade your hard spl to 2.08 if u want use rom with 576ram
I thought my phone was messed up also. I even had them send me
two replacement phone before I realized it was the battery all along
that was causing the problem.
If your phone is doing what mine did...Start..get to the welcome
screen and start again..loop....loop..loop!!
My advise...try another battery..Where I live finding a battery
for sale at TM or anywhere was crazy difficult. Had to beg and
bribe customer service to give me one....

it makes me scared to flash...I know, no reason to be chicken..

i have the same problem on a diamond2 . the phone cant boot with the 2 official roms with wm6.5. the strange thing is that the phone works only with the official rom with wm 6.1
i ahve tried many rom changes , all officials , i have try with another battery . tha battery has nothing to do with the problem.
i have try a rom update with another pc . allways the same problem . the phone doesnt boot with a rom with wm 6.5 . it works only with 6.1.
