I've given up waiting for a WiFi Galaxy Tab to be available and want to get one before Christmas. I don't plan on signing up for a data plan andjust want the device. Which carrier should I get if from?
I think all of them have /some/ bits and pieces, Verizon being the worst as always.
But nothing rooting/root explorer/titanium backup and ADW.Launcher shouldn't be able to work around to get a 'clean' looking setup.
Thanks. So should I get the cheapest on offer or is there anything else I should look out for?
I'd say T-Mobile and Sprint are the best.
Keep in mind that T-mobile and ATT have 16gb internal memory where as Sprint and Verizon oniy have 2 GB.
ATT and Verizon have pay as you go type plans that can be stopped and started at any time.
ATT is the only version that can be currently flashed with the European firmware which allows voice calling and 3g data in the US. (This also removes any restrictions and bloatware.)
With all those data points in mind, I plan to go with ATT.

But the Sprint Tab comes with a 16GB memory card according to the site.
I believe they all come with a 16gb card. Att and t-mobile also have another 16gb internal, were sprint and verizon only have 2gb internal.

That's incorrect...those with the 16gb internal memory, DON'T INCLUDE a 16gb microSD.
Here's the difference:
Take a look at the memory specs for each:
AT&T: 512MB (ROM) + 512MB (RAM) + 128MB (One D-RAM) + 2GB (User Memory) + 16GB (Internal Memory) + Up to 32GB with optional microSD card (External Memory)
Sprint: 512MB(ROM) + 512MB(RAM) + 128MB(One D-RAM) + 2GB (User Memory) + 16GB microSD card preinstalled (supports up to 32GB microSD card)
T-Mobile: 512MB(ROM) + 512MB(RAM) + 128MB(One D-RAM) + 16GB (Internal User Memory) + (supports up to 32GB microSD)
U.S. Cellular: 512MB(ROM) + 512MB(RAM) + 128MB(One D-RAM) + 2GB (User Memory) + 16GB microSD card preinstalled (supports up to 32GB microSD card)
Verizon: 512MB(ROM) + 592MB(RAM) + 128MB(One D-RAM) + 2GB (User Memory) + 16GB microSD card preinstalled (supports up to 32GB microSD card)

Not everyone cares for using a 7 inch device as a cell phone. I already have a cell phone that does that and quite well.
Wish they'd just come out with a wifi only version.
Forgive My Brevity. To Be Or Not To Be...
Guess i believed wrong . I would still go with the at&t version or t-mobile for the internal 16gb + optional 32gb microsd card.
Real quick question: Ive been wanting to treat myself this christmas with a samsung tab, but the only thing I don't know is which carrier I should buy it from. I don't truly ever plan on using a data plan on this rather just wifi, so which one has the best features all together on it? I heard ATT had the best tab because it has the most internal memory, is this true? Thank you!!
I don't have one (yet) but from what I understand.....AT&T and TMobile have 16GB internal whereas the Sprint and Verizon have only 2. all models do however have the open microSD card slot
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2372723,00.asp
"the T-Mobile and AT&T versions have more built-in memory: 16GB as opposed to the Sprint and Verizon models' 2GB."
Cowboom has a galaxy 7inch tab special with sprint 3g.
Not sure if its a true deal since I'm on at&t, but i'm sure XDA's cooked something up regardless to make this thing decent.
http://www.cowboom.com/deal-of-the-day.cfm
FYI - Sprint model has only 2GB of internal memory unlike VZW, AT&T, and T-Mobile versions which all have 16GB built-in. That said, they all have microSD slots.
same boat
my vzw sgt only has a 2 gig internal data partition as well(grumble, grumble, :\ )
Hi all,
I'm still undecided about which version to buy.
I already spotted a couple of webstores selling the 64GB version, but those models are said to be without LTE connectivity.
In addition, HTC confirmed that they don't have an estimated launch date for the "64GB LTE enabled" version.
The question is "simple": which version would you buy?
32GB with LTE or 64GB without LTE?
.
I really wanted 64GB, however I recently bought a HOX+ after my HOX and the call clarity with LTE was HUGE. I may wait out with my HOX and buy a 64GB with LTE if it arrives.
64 GB here. I live in an h+ area.

AT&T dosent do calls over LTE, it drops back to 3G to make calls.
Does this also mean that the U.S 64gb version will be without LTE either? I HAVE to have 64, and it would suck to not have LTE just to have the needed storage. :/

I have 16GB HOX and 5GB is still free... Its enough if you have your files in cloud...
How much stuff do you guys store on your phones honestly lol...
I put songs, photos, apps etc on mine and I'm never more than 30% of the space available.

Unfortunately, yes.
Until HTC plans to release the 64GB version with LTE enabled. (If any)
I was debating this same thing. Right now leaning towards 32gb and LTE

It doesn't really matter to me, I use my phone for music, pics, videos, and phone stuff. (Texting, calling, browsing the web)

Songs take lots of space if you store them on your phone instead of streaming.

On a 16gb HOX how much space would be available of you literally only had a sense Rom installed ? No extra apps etc.

I would assume the carrier branded models carry the LTE regardless of whether it is the 32 or 64 GB version, at least in regards to AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile here in US

Man.. on my 3VO I have 2 audio books, 123 songs, 4 nandroid backups, 4 ROM zips, dozens of apps and still have 10G left on my 32 G card. Need I say MY preference???

I have 21 gigabytes of MUSIC alone. And id rather not waste my data by storing that all in the cloud since i listen to music at least 3 hours a day. Only got 2 gigabytes of data. :/ Also, I heard that on android your phone is split up so you can only put so much of one type of thing on your phone like maybe 20 is free to media and 2 is for to apps and what not. Don't know for sure but i was reading that off another post somewhere. So sadly, 32 isnt an option when only 26 is usable. I'm hoping that AT&T will have a 64 gigabyte version with LTE. It's 2013, every phone should have LTE REGARDLESS if you have 8, 16, 32, 64, of 128 gigabytes of storage. It should never make a difference.

Lucky you! You can live with that storage space. While me I store 200 songs, 6 PDFs for my programming job, 1 rom zip, 6 psx games namely for fpse namely(FFVII, FFVIII, FFXI, vargant story, digimon 3, army men), need for speed, NOVA 3, GTA Vice city, Final fantasy 3, GTA III, Asphalt 7 and some movies and animes.
More or less total of 40GB+ and sometimes could reach up to 51GB.
I gotta ask where is the OP getting his info?
HTC would be retarded to make you choose
I'm getting the 64 GB with LTE

Well no one seemed to deny it, maybe its just the international version thats like that. I haven't heard anything about the 64gb version not having LTE for U.S carriers so hopefully your right SuperChilpil. I would be hugely disappointed. I'd still get the phone but 2 years without LTE would really suck.
The AT&T LTE version will have 32 and 64 GB SKUs for sure.
A quick look on the specs page from HTC indicates both models will come with LTE - the only caveat is that the available space will be less. Which most of us already know.
http://www.htc.com/au/smartphones/htc-one/#specs
Currently Samsung has stated that EU/NA markets will get only 32GB built-in memory models.
Korea and perhaps some other Asian markets will get 64GB - at some point in time.
Currently no official information (as of 25/2/2016) is available from Samsung on:
- 64GB model release dates/countries
- 64GB model supported 3G/UMTS/LTE network frequencies (bands)
Previously one could buy for example 128GB special model of Note5 from Korea. However this model would NOT include support for all US/EU network frequencies.
So, if you know of 64GB model information, release dates, prices, countries or frequency support, please post here.

Again in India: http://www.mobilephones.co.in/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-64gb/
It indicates LTE bans 3 and 40
With all the gear VR stuff and game being almost 1 gb nowadays. I am really compelled to get the 64Gb variant. Cant find much online. Any sites you can buy them from? All seem to be coming soon.
Why do you need a 64gb version at all? I have the 32gb european model, a 128gb micro sd partitioned 50/50 and formatted fat32/ext2. Then I rooted my handset and use Link2Sd Paid and every App (Data and Obb files too) are transfered to the ext2... I have over 500 apps on handset, lots of which are 2gb games and my internal storage still has over 20gb free... Job Done [emoji39]

Cause if you use 2 sim cards, 32GB is not enough.
