HTC unlock codes program.NEW!! starting - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Hy,
First of all I would like to say hello to all developers here. My point is to build a program that can generate an unlock code based on your IMEI. As seen on HTC Touch we have to somehow get the code using phone's imei number. I am willing to build such a program, but I will need some help: databases with imeis and codes, ways to read the phone etc.

Change IMEI in XDA1

How i can change IMEI in XDA1, ROM 4.01.16 RAdio 4.21.00. XDA Manipulator cant read SID lock + GID lock and IMEI. Program write some ERROR.
Thanx
Just for your knowledge nobody here will give information. It is illegal in virtually every country to change IMEI and nobody will support this as in 99.99999999 % of cases it means a phone is stolen an d we pay a lot of money for our phones and we hate people who nick these phones. the best bet if your phone was legally obtained is contact your network provider and they usually will provide you with the necessary info
straff
It is your radio version that is preventing using xda manipulator, I dont think it is possible to downgrade either but I may be wrong. If you wish to unlock your xda then download developers special edition.

Imei number is now different?

I had recently flashed my rom to wm6.5 without thinking much at all.
I then find out that my imei is now different from what is printed on hte phone (under the battery)
As I dont really like the WM6.5 rom, I used the rom from this thread to go back to wm6.1, everything looks the same as i 1st got the phone. BUT the imei shown in "Device ID" and "About" remains different from the original imei on the phone. I also checked it by *#06#.
So where did I get this imei no from? Did i get it from the wm6.5 roms?
I search and yet to find a tool to edit the imei yet. any advice from anyone pls?
Hello Frank, have a custom Rom wm 6.5 installed aswell and indeed my IMEI also changed. Did not pay attention to it sofar, so thanks for pointing this out.....
Think that a different IMEI is not so much an issue unless you have to bring it to HTC for repair.....therefor always the recommendation to back-up your original Rom.....with original IMEI
Change of the IMEI might be the problem. And the big one. As I know, changing of IMEI is illegal in almost all countries and might be prosecuted. Also your mobile phone operator can put it on blacklist and you will not be able to connect to network. More here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276851
Anyway, there are some tools available, but I can't point you directly. Try to google them.
frankbeer, Frank Caarls: Which ROM do you use? I can take a closer look at it. And please send me that new changed IMEI via PM.
The last 2 digits of the IMEI can change, they are the Software Version Number (SVN).
Only the 1st 15 matter.
Dave
Hello Dave, is correct....last 2 digits changed......my IMEI under battery only shows first 15 numbers.....
Frank Caarls: Then you are making false alarm. Next time please study, what is IMEI and from how much number it is composed. And as I told you changing of IMEI is a problem and that is why I posted that link, so please make fun from somebody else. Btw. you cannot backup IMEI in your ROM.

[Q] [QUESTION]Sim (subsidy) unlock~WM6.5~TMobile~HTC HD2[QUESTION]

Hello all,
I am having trouble with the network unlock (subsidy code) on my WinMo 6.5 Tmobile HTC HD2. I have tried a pay-site solution as I no longer have my TMobile account (moved to Alaska). The site replied that the IMEI number supplied could not be unlocked and that a data connection to a PC might be required.
!QUESTION!:
Who can unlock this phone for me? I have tried. I have danger spl and a custom Energy rom. The IMEI matches on the handset and in software. I would rather pay a forum member through paypal or find out what I need in order to unlock this phone. I have a dual boot android partition installed on the handset as well. Maybe this had something to do with the fact I cannot unlock via traditional methods.
Thanks for any help you can give,

hi am sorry but no there is currently not any way to read the activation code from the device itself...
But u can still get a new code if u want!
(I got my code by email, because the code i got wen i called them just wasn't working.)
Is the Activation Code stored on the HD2?
I read on one of the pages of one of the threads in one of the Forums (phew), that the MS Activation Code was stored and almost readable if you had the right apps and RegEdit(?).
After settling down with WP7 I decided I was happy to wait for Mango updates before Re-Flashing, so I discarded the Post-It with my code, but XBMod now has a ROM out and I want it. So I'm gonna need that code.
Does anyone have any more on this?
Edited: 03/06/2011
Just phoned MS UK on 0844 800 2400.
Told them I'd reset my phone and asked them to read my activation code back out to me, which they did. Happy days, just sent it to myself in an e-mail so no more waiting for another XBMod ROM. Ta.
well, you can use the code on your WP7 using this registry :
Live ID Activation Code
(Usefull on HD2 to bypass boring serial number step, need a valid serial!)
Code:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\GwpCPC]
"ActivationCode"="*****-*****-*****-*****-*****"
Then maybe after using the code it would be there ?

There probably isn't one, since the phone is unlocked. If you're looking to use it on Sprint, you need to get them to add the device IMEI/MEID/ESN or whatever to their approved device database (good luck with that). Might also need to use a specific SIM, probably the SIMOLW506C or SIMGLW446C.
Well all the software I'm using to try to make the sprint sim work is asking me for the spc for the CDMA slot. Can't proceed with process until I send the correct spc to the phone. So frustrating.
Any luck acquiring the msl/spc?
I'm am currently looking into this too, trying to unlock more LTE bands. Can someone please share how to get the spc code? There is a part of the latest CDMA workshop that claims to have a ZTE spc code generator from your imei but I cannot test it and I'm not buying it to find out it doesn't work.
